Bernstein's Deli

We went in for brunch, my 6 year old daughter and I. It was super busy and from what I could see, they only had 2 servers. We weren't greeted when waiting to be seated, I decided we probably just seat ourselves. We sat and waited, 2 more tables sat down after us. The server brought them menus right away while we waited. Finally we got menus and the server was gone. We waited over 20 mins while the other server sat tables and told them it might be awhile before their orders are taken. Nothing was said to us in this whole time. We were really hungry and decided to just leave. Why not schedule more than 2 servers during breakfast and lunch?

The pastrami was lacked the smokey, and peppery flavor of pastrami from a US deli. The corned beef was good.

Staff members are very rude they disrespect the drivers. Drivers are also deserve thé respect but they don’t. Like seriously why they don’t listen to drivers

[House Corned Beef Reuben Deluxe] I have no idea what happened with Bernsteins Ruben sandwich, specifically the corn beef quality (the in-house corn beef) but it’s just aweful now. The corn beef cut is extremely fatty and they don’t even cook it properly. Over the last year and a half it went from the best Ruben in town to the absolute worst. It’s like they are buying now the cheapest corn beef cuts to serve up to their customers and top dollar for $18, the audacity. We attempted 3 times to get the same quality that their Ruben’s once were, and they failed every time, we were beyond disappointed with our optimism to think it was anomalies. Never will return again, unless this is guaranteed to change, which is highly unlikely, unless they change their purchasing decisions and spend on meat.

The food is the only thing that kept us coming back. The service is lacking, every time we've come in. Getting harder to find good deli and good service.

Great breakfast/lunch spot- with quaint mom & pop atmosphere. Classic hot sandwich options with homemade french fries was delish. Once you get your food though the "service" was over- getting a napkin, a side gravy or a box for leftovers was a struggle.

Went to Bernstein’s for a lunch. First time in many years. If you go I recommend the Rueben and the matzah ball deluxe soup. My kids had the pancakes which was fine. I ordered home fries and they came out as French fries. Call ahead or the wait can be quite long.the chicken soup is made right and the matzah balls taste so good my kids even loved them. The. Five stars is for the Jewish penicillin

I'd come back, sure, simply because the food is really good, but come expecting to be seen 4 times by staff tops. Once for menus, once for orders, once with food, and once with a bill. Sort of the "military grade" of restaurant service, for those who know what that really means.

Always amazing food here. Strongly recommend the house made corned beef. It costs a few bucks more but well worth it. Potato latke stacker will fill up virtually anyone and will leave leftovers for most.

Picked up a 1/2 dozen egg bagels here and enjoyed them although they were a touch on the expensive side. Can’t wait to come back and try the lunch menu!

Deli restaurant is always been a great place for a nice breakfast. Been a customer for many years and will always go back for the great food.

I have dealt with this awesome Deli for years but they have outdone themselves, I have a dear friend who has the Covid, so I called and ordered about 5 dinners including a roast chicken all came to the same or less cost of flowers. She was extremely happy. I have ordered at Xmas their Turkey dinners for company and they are great. You will be so pleased and the food is sooooo good, fresh and so tasty.

Showed up at 5 for takeout sandwich and they refused to serve me 30 minutes before they close at 5: 30.

Great atmosphere and service. My family and I felt very welcome and loved the vibe. Delicious classics and dishes with creative twists. The deluxe Reuben and latke fries were outstanding! Grab a baked good from the counter as you pay. Awesome spot!

Went to eat at Bernsteins for supper today. I had the matza ball soup and half a greek salad. My family had a variety of breakfast, soup, sandwiches and potatoe pancakes. The food was all fresh and delicious. The young lady who served us was very attentive and friendly. We had a great time and we will definitely be returning.

Sucked, food was ok, not worth the price, atmosphere was cozy if you like to be stare down by everyone else in the place. Service, horrible! 55 minutes for a so-so $20 sandwich. Disorganized system, actually had our table moved while waiting for our food? !? !? ! Who does that? !? !? Save your money, go somewhere else! 2 stars for the sandwich since we didn't get food poisoning. That's a bonus I guess
