Overall the exhibit was great. Suggestion in the future is a kids room off to the side to allow the discovery of art after seeing it, to pass on the passion of art for future generations.

Prices were a bit high for what amounted to a 45 minute experience. At the very least validate parking if you’re charging that much for a self-guided tour.

My daughter had a great suggestion as well - to make it more family friendly, have an area where kids can create Monet-inspired works, either Freeform or colouring pages.

We attended the Van Gogh exhibit last year in the new building of the Convention Centre and preferred that hall more than the Monet exhibit this year. Also I liked entrance to the Van Gogh last year with the wrap around hall format. It was much more streamlined and you could move from one panel to the next to read the write ups without a whole bunch of people standing in your way. Attempting to have the Van Gogh and Monet write ups in the same hall with numerous people standing all over the place, created confusion.
Also in the main hall where the exhibit took place, it might have been nice to have more benches so people could sit. Again there were too many people standing everywhere and you couldn’t enjoy the presentation as much.

It was very underwhelming. Basically a room with fancy PowerPoint slides displayed on pillars and then one giant room with projections of Monet art made into a large moving animation to music. It was cool to look at but definitely not worth the money.

Lovely, wry immersive.
I would liked to have more Monét souvenir choices eg. Coffee mugs, water bottles.
Mostly Van Gogh

A wonderful experience. Watched the show twice through to fully experience everything and could easily have sat through it again!

The first part of the display is all about reading some quotes and information about Monet. Would have preferred seeing the paintings, or at least a copy of them. Did not care for the “immersive” experience. Again, I thought we would see more of the actual paintings, not just a collage of run together artwork At times the screen was moving so quickly, it made me a little dizzy. Very little seating. If you have trouble standing in 1 place for more than 1/2 hour at a time, I would avoid going. I tried moving around but kept getting in the way of those people trying to take photos. Too many cameras for sure. Also, as in most places, the experience ends in the gift shop. Prices pretty steep. Eg $13 for a pencil case, $68 for a flimsy hoody. The tickets had been a gift so couldn’t complain about the price but wouldn’t have been happy had I paid the $49 entrance fee. Total experience about 40 minutes.

It was interesting but I wish there were photos of the original works as well. There could be more seating and sales of beverages.

As was the case with Beyond Van Gogh, this is a "must see" event and comes highly recommended.
Wonderful experience.
It was great to see how many young Winnipeg families attended the event, with their young children.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the display and presentation of Monet’s work. My only complaint was that there was not enough seating in the room. We are senior citizens and to stand in one spot for 30 minutes was difficult.

Very disappointing. Display was mostly pouring paint rather than Monet’s actual paintings. Viewing room was awkwardly set up. Did not feel immersed in the art works at all. Would not recommend.

I thought the experience was great, we arrived a bit early and were allowed to go in without waiting. The information was displayed nicely and split up into different areas so you don’t get a clump of people that you need to maneuver around. The visual representation of the art was very good - I had been to the Van Gogh exhibition in the tick of the pandemic so the experience had been dampened as you were only allowed to be in certain areas for specific amounts of time. If you were a slow reader or just wanted extra time to take it in you could take it, no issue. I have mild vertigo and certain parts of the visual experience were difficult (when the images on the floors were swirling) and I went with my mom who has bad knees and she said they were starting to bother her towards the end. They do have seating but only about 10 small 2 seater benches.

We also went to the Van Gogh exhibit when it was here and this time we went to the Monet/Van Gogh exhibit and went with two friends. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
