Tried booking an appointment to change my tires over the phone and the lady who answered the phone couldn't wait on the phone for a couple of minutes for me to double check my schedule. She insisted that I had to hang up and call them back until I was ready to book the appointment. Reasoning that they're busy isn't justifiable as I am busy as well. Calling them back would've taken more time than if she were to wait on the phone for a bit.

When I arrived, service consultant was already expecting me. The services took shorter than estimated. Staff were friendly and knew their stuff. The recall service was done quickly and I was still able to do work at the office because of their shuttle service.

We went in to check out a Ridgeline. We were very pleased with the laid back experience and had the most straight forward/knowledgeable salesman that we've come across. Full run down of the vehicle and all the features/specs were discussed. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Honda!

Bought my 2011 Honda accord 6 months ago and it has been the worse mistake of my life buying from this dealership. Car was not properly safetied
My cad converter has a crack in it giving my car a sound when you accelerate the gas. Went to the service desk on the safety paper it shows they were aware of the Converter being broken but left it for me to deal with. To get it replaced/labor it’s going to cost be $2000 and as a college student it has set me back a lot.

This is my third car purchase from BHW. And again they did not disappoint. Jack Reves made sure that I am making the right decision on this purchase. Upgrading my vehicle was easy and was offered a great trade-in value. He gave me all options available (this I mean, even checking other Birchwood sales department not just Honda as per my request and did it without hesitation), he understood very well what we needed and also offered us reasonable pricing (not to mention a deal I couldn't pass up). Hands down will always check in first with BHW and their team for any future services needed. Will recommend the company overall to friends and family.

I took my 2022 Pilot in to the service department to diagnose a sound that was driving me nuts. Clarielle was my service consultant and despite my very apparent frustrations when they initially couldn’t diagnose the noise she was so patient and lovely. Paul was the service tech that I dealt with and he was amazing we drove together so I could show him the noise and he repeatedly took a look at potential issues, and would follow up with another drive around to see if it had fixed the sound, after several attempts and drives he was able to diagnose the sound and fix it, he was super professional and knowledgeable and appears to genuinely love his work and shows a commitment to ensure everything is taken care of so the customer can feel at ease. Clarielle was so friendly and easy to engage with and supportive. I am super impressed by the service and commitment from the team at Birchwood Honda West.

Mike and his crew were excellent to work with. The staff were all courteous and friendly. Before the work started Mike went over the scope of work with me as well as the estimated costs. The job took less time than anticipated and the bill was below estimate due to taking less time and finding a cheaper parts solution once they took everything apart. I appreciate that honesty. They kept me informed along the way about how long it would take to complete the job. I even received a complimentary car wash. Kudos to the fine folks at Birchwood Honda's service department.

DO NOT GO TO BIRCHWOOD HONDA WEST - I leased a 2022 Civic and it has less than 11K KM on it and the check engine light came on this morning. I was told when i leased that if there was any services that needs to be performed on the car that they would give me a loaner car while they fixed it.

Well today i am told that i can drop it off and Uber around the city while they try to figure out whats wrong and hopefully its nothing major because if it is ill have to take Uber everywhere. UMMM WHAT?

Absolutely and without question, BHW has been my go-to for car buying for the last 13 years. The customer service is always friendly, top-notch, and I always feel like they have my best interest at heart. I just bought my 5th Honda from them (my 4th CRV!) Ask for Elison; he's as good as they come!

Purchased a used 2018 Honda CRV from Birchwood Honda West in Dec 2021.

Vehicle was brought to our home when we scheduled test drives.
Immediately after delivery we noticed issues with the cabin heat. No matter what we did the vehicle would not warm up and blow warm air. If the ambient temperature was at or below -13 degrees the vehicle could not clear frost from the interior of the windows or windscreen.

Upon researching the issue, I found many owners living in colder climates complaining of similar issues on vehicles with the 1.5L Honda Earth Dreams engine. I tried letting the vehicle warm up for extended periods of time, adjusting the heat controls, driving it on the highway, using auto and manual HVAC controls but nothing made a difference. Our 2013 Civic had no problems outputting heat in the same climate.

I reached out to Honda and received many ‘workarounds’ for what I was experiencing but nothing fixed the heating issue. Service and Sales reps from Birchwood suggested the following:
• Take the vehicle out of ECO mode
• Rev the engine in Sport mode to bring up engine temp
• Don’t use the factory command start, use push button start instead
• Set the HVAC system to AUTO and then turn the fan to LOW
• Don’t drive in Start and Stop traffic
• Install an aftermarket cabin heater
Some of these suggestions are mind boggling. If I have to hoon my vehicle in Sport mode revving the engine like a teenager that just got their license so the vehicle outputs heat, Honda needs to update their MPG ratings for their vehicles. Why have factory command start if I have to use the push button? How do you set the HVAC to Auto and then set the fan to Low? Changing the fan speed takes the HVAC system out of AUTO and puts it to MANUAL.

I booked a service appt with Birchwood to have the HVAC system looked at. Thermostat, Heat Exchanger etc.but received no new information. (See attached image)

Birchwood offered to take the CRV in as trade and I could buy another vehicle. No customer satisfaction, no warranty, no buy-back options were offered. Just buy a different car.

I traded the CRV in and bought a Subaru that comes standard with heat.
First and Last Honda I will ever buy.

You can’t sell a vehicle with no heat in Manitoba. Utterly disappointed with the Birchwood Experience, from Sales to Service this place has zero accountability and I would not recommend them to anyone that values trust.

Hello i bought honda crv touring in nov 2020 after 2-3 months some paint spots on rims in they shows two different colour i go to agency they click pictures but not solve the problem and second.thing some rust spots on paint but they not solve the problem so very bad experience i recommend everyone to avoid purchase from these location thanks

Bought My Civic 2022 in Decemeber, 2021 Finance advisor was brendan he was so good person.but the service guys are not helpful I told my problems about the car, and they told me that this car is not made for this kind of weather, if this car is not made for icy weather then why did you relase in the market of winnipeg.the issue with shaky steering wheel when speed is at 70-80 kmph and the block heater cord got broken itself the tire got a deep cut on the side earliers they told me that 1 year protection of tires and rims, but today they said that it’s only applicable when it’s a road accident like we have to met with an accident to get a new tire. Surely, gonna call Honda Customer Support tommorow.

We bought a 2019 Honda Odyssey last week from this dealership. 1st impressions were great. Our salesman was fantastic. But the day that we went to pick it up, left a bad taste in my mouth. After signing all the papers, we were given the keys to the van and went out in anticipation of picking up a clean vehicle with the stone chips lightly touched up as we had agreed on. The outside of the van was washed but the inside had mud on the seats and on the backrests. I wasn't expecting a detailed clean but if I'm spending $45,000 on a vehicle, I would think that they could at the very least wipe the mud off the seats. They had also forgotten to touch up the stone chips we had repeatedly asked about. When I asked about it again, they quickly sent someone out with one of those marker touch up paint kits. Well, paint doesn't work when its freezing outside. It just runs down and forms a clump of paint when it dries. So now I have visible stone chips and clumps of paint on the exterior.
Had they given me a clean vehicle and fixed the stone chips like I asked, I would have been a returning customer and recommended this dealership to anyone. Such is no longer the case.

Please read the 1 star reviews before buying a vehicle from here, don't be fooled by the first rating you see. I am seeing alot more real reviews like my own regarding service too. Nothing but electrical problems with my vehicle. Even after being "fixed" the same problem occurred, my vehicle seized and wouldn't start. Tell me how I should feel safe driving this beast? This is the second time this has happened. This is a serious problem! I DO NOT feel safe driving this vehicle. This vehicle was in a accident under 3000 prior to my purchase and now I figured out why they didn't want it. Now i am stuck. How did this vehicle pass inspections? !

Update:

Service manager called me July. 20 and she is overseeing my vehicle in service to really find out what the problem is with my vehicle. I asked her if she could swap it with comparable vehicle and without me losing any value as I don't feel safe driving this. She said she will look into it but isn't promising anything. Fingers crossed problem is solved or right thing is done.

Bought a 2016 Civic for my son from Birchwood Honda West a couple of months ago. Price was fair and vehicle looked good. After getting it home noticed the car had some misalignment of the front bumper and some evidence of a previous small collision that had not been properly repaired. After talking with Joe the general manager he looked after it at no cost to us, bumper was replaced and properly installed. Andrea, the service manager, was great to deal with and her attention to detail was appreciated. This is what customer service should look like, will do business again.

Service department does not call when vehicle done. They do not do what they where asked to do.

Save yourself a pile of headache and frustration and go elsewhere.

Correction; later I find out that he did call, did leave a voice mail the same day. Next morning I try calling and no answer, left 2 voice mails. Nothing. Not a very professional way of doing it. And the service report and what service told me do not match. Really? Report says trans fluid contaminated/burnt. He says it’s nice and clean. So what is it?

So. Trust is important.

So. Star stays the same. Go elsewhere.

My salesman said that there's only one key to my car and that he would get me a second set as well as there is a little bit of a scratch on the back but I could come back and get that fixed I've tried countless times calling them to talk to them about this I've left voice messages repeatedly I've even used an online texting I have never gotten a call back from them I have tried countless times trying to get a hold of them asking about my warranty

We needed emergency key replacement on Saturday, although I explained that key is needed as a spare because my daughter was moving that morning and had broke key previous evening, they were unwilling to cut and program the key because I didn’t have appointment. Quick phone call and drive down perimeter to Winnipeg Honda on Waverley and it was done in 15 minutes while I waited. Needless to say I’m not coming back to Birchwood Honda West for parts, service or sales nor I recommend it to anyone

Had a very good experience with Elison. He was very helpful and accommodating. He went above and beyond his role by making sure I get the CRV that I want. From start to finish, Elison was easy to talk to whenever I have questions. Even after getting the CRV, he assured me that I can contact him and that I can count on him. Will definitely deal with him again if I decide to get another vehicle in the future

This is the first time I’m going to buy a new car in Winnipeg. Staffs in Honda Winnipeg West gave me deep impression for their good service. Actually, I have no idea to what type of car I should get, Ms. Zhi Jin is so knowledgeable that she gave me a practicable solution. Finally, I decided to lease a new Honda HR-V. Unfortunately, as a newcomer, who has just lived here not more than 3 months, I was told that my leasing plan was denied. But Brendan Parry, financial services manager, never gave up to find solution. He helped me try again and again to persuade banking. Although finally I failed to lease car and had to wait for 3 more months, their service up to now is highly appreciated!

Brought my new Honda CRV there for a standard recall. No one advised me that with the recall I would be receiving a free oil change. It just so happened I got an oil change the day before, so they had to change out and waste my brand new full synthetic oil. Would have been nice to know, could have saved my money and time. This was brought up to customer service and nothing was done for me. Would not recommend this place, will likely receive a low level of customer service.

Update - Nov 8 2020
This issue was never addressed by Birchwood Honda West. I was sent a generic email by the dealership and told there was nothing they could do for me. Some of the worst customer service I have ever received by a car dealership. Honda’s are great, but absolutely avoid this dealership if you can.

After my incident on Oct 30 that my appointment was cancelled without notification from Birchwood Honda West. I've decided to give Birchwood Honda West another chance and I'm glad to have done that.

My appointment was scheduled with the manager for a Saturday to my request.

I did my service and Winter tiers. I was very happy with the result.

Anyway, I decided to change my review based on my latest experience so after that Saturday I can say that I've changed my mind and my review as well for Birchwood Honda West.

So thank you Andrea Haggerty and your Team for the good service.

SERVICE DEPT: I booked to consult on issue that I have with the vehicle I just bought privately, in terms of keyless entry.the lady that handled my call was efficient fast and to the point. On The execution day: I was greeted by Kevin Chan. He is one of a kind Service Advisor! He went out of his way to let me show him what is wrong after we spoke on the counter. As a mechanical inclined person, his analysis make sense. He finally said it is just me that did not set it up properly! He did not try to upsell or anything nor giving false information. I also complained on My handbrake that was loose. Fixed it real easy with the mechanic (Kenneth Gelo). Kevin always asked for my green light before proceeding with any works.

Kevin also let me know that my vehicle have a recall. So I can book an appointment at the earliest convenient time possible. So far, the experience at the service department is very positive!

Although, I have my own mechanic and rarely go to the dealership (since most people and me have our own mechanic shop). This is a recommended Honda Service Dealership if you for some reason have to bring it to the dealership if required.

PARTS DEPT: fast and lemme know when I ordered part. Is not the cheapest for sure, but they let you know when it arrived. Typical dealership. I usually bought at the auto parts store, but for critical parts, you need to go OEM I think.
