How hard for a bank employee to make a call.
BMO branch at 2785 Pembina is not a good option to do banking it’s awful
I came to save a draft and then to money out which is already in my account.
The employe required me to wait 7 days or they will call the credit union to ask if they say yes they will allow me to take the money right away. Then the employee asked me to wait at home after they call they will let me know if I can take money out. This happened at 12: 30pm on Friday.
Then I went home and waited the whole afternoon and I called them many times the next day which is this afternoon and left voice messages. No one answered or called back.
Then I went to another bmo branch, they told me I have to talk with the person who help me save the draft. So I came back to this disgrace of a place and waited an hour in line. While in line I saw the person who saved the draft yesterday walked around in the lobby. I went to ask her what’s happened, she told me to keep waiting. Of course after an hour they told me the credit union just closed and they were unable to make the call.
Suggest everyone change to a reputable bank or branch

BMO branch at 2785 Pembina is not a good option to do banking if you have serious business that must be done through banking services. Their staff are undertrained and unprofessional.

It ruined what I needed to process not only once but twice. The very unprofessional and lousy service was provided by the EXACT SAME lady who looked to be a lead or manager at this branch. First time was by the end of 2022 when I needed to pay for annual extra amount for our mortgage, the lady who was called from back totally gave me very wrong information and ruined the payment opportunity in that year.

Second time was when we needed to transfer somehow bigger amount from bmo to another account for making a serious purchase (it’s super important for us to complete the transfer process by certain deadline), oh my goodness, it’s the same lady who performed very unhelpful and incorrect practice again! Thanks to that, the 2 significant transactions were all ruined. I will not go to this branch ever again. I’m not sure how the staff was trained and why staff member like this can still help with front services. I’d give 0 if that’s an option.

I have used this Fort Richmond BMO branch at 2785 Pembina Hwy since its inception in 2007. Apart from dealing with occasional slow service by inexperienced clerks I don't have major complaints until today. On depositing a U. S.dollar cheque into my USD account, I was told that they have to hold the cheque for 30 days before I can access the funds. This was a total surprise to me as I have been depositing USD cheques in this branch for years without this nonsense of holding my cheques. Worse, the branch manager agreed with the clerk! I promptly took my USD cheque to another BMO branch and deposited it without problem. The manager of this latter BMO branch informed me that it is not a normal policy to hold USD cheques for customers of good standing. Hence, it seems to me the folks at the Fort Richmond branch at 2785 Pembina Hwy either do not practice or value good customer relations or they are very inexperienced in their jobs.

All about money. Zero customer service. You line up like cattle because they have cut staff to bare minimum. I had around $2000 left on my mortgage and wanted to pay it off. They wanted to charge me a fee to do so. I’ve been paying my “fee” in interest rates for the last 18 years with my mortgage with them. Not until I raised a huge stink did they wave the “fee”.

Update: I have a joint account with my child and their debit card stopped working. I took in their debit card to get a new one, inserted the card into the reader, put in PIN number, the account was pulled up, then told them the tap does not work anymore so need a new card. Bank would not issue a new one because my child had to be there as well. Said it can’t happen as they are at school all day and then work and they need a debit card and their hours are awful for anyone working. Nope, they have to be there with photo ID as well. So went to the school took them out of school and back to the bank. Same process- entered the card in the reader, entered the pin, account pulled up, told them tap stopped working and issued me a new card. Did not ask for ID- nothing. I asked why and she replied that she can see the profile on the computer and it looked right. I asked if they had a photo because how can it just “look right” now and sure didn’t before. They really didn’t know what to say so next time I’ll just bring some random kid in with me I guess.

Update- I have a $30 service charge because of exceeding my monthly debit limit. Called customer service and yes i have a $30 charge. Complete rip off since it’s all automated! So I want to make an appointment to discuss this charge and change the account so it won’t happen again. I can’t get an appointment for 2 weeks! 2 weeks! They are booked solid for 2 weeks! They sure limit the hours and availability but sure have no limits on service charges.
So I have booked an appointment with another bank and I can get an appointment much sooner for there.

Very bad bank and very bad customer service.went to deposit a certified cheque and the asian/chinese woman at the front was so rude, no repect at all to customer, she sounded like i went to borrow some money from her, this kind of people should be fired.last time dealing with BMO thanks rude woman

Whats the point of you copy pasting same template about BMO Digital Care Team over and over agin I see this same reply for over 80% of reviews here, It better for you to give some training about basic coustmer care to your rude tellers.am done with your bank there are lot of other banks in town who respect coustmers
