Very good. I actually liked the train rumbling nearby at night. The Rangers were very helpful. It's near the petroforms and West Hawk Lake.

Bring the kids.

Not recommended. No showers, water coming from the faucet is color brown, too many mosquitoes and the most of all the rv campers are so rude. The facilities on the campground is not good. Better go to west hawk lake than brereton lake

Perfect campsites for family. The provincial park amenities are all walking distance. Clean washrooms and well maintained sites. If you forgot something theres a store and restaurant accross the street.

Great small campground with amazing views from some of the sites. A very nice store that's only a 5 minute walk from the beach and they have everything you would need.

Always a great place. Lots of privacy great food and drinks. Beautiful scenery. Greg's meals and drinks never disappoint, and a wide assortment of different cabins.

Nice place to stay. It wasn't crowded when we went here. Maybe because the weather that time is still cold. The place was clean and quiet.

The semi private individual campsites along the lake are nice and are large enough to park a small trailer on. The other lots are less private due to the open concept. The campground also offers seasonal lots that can be booked but have no privacy at all and is much more like a cramped, overpopulated community.
There's also a playground near the clean, small accessible beach.
**FYI data/cell signal is extremely limited.but thats part of why we go camping - to detach? ! **

Brereton Lake Resort is a top notch place to stay in the Whiteshell. Great cabins, the restaurant is tremendous, and the owner Greg sees to your every need. Pontoon boat rental, canoe rental, laundry facilities. It's a complete package.

Great campground, nice beach good resort store/restaurant across the road. The only downsides are very poor cell reception in the area and that the water taps do not provide drinkable water. There is drinkable water from a tap at the camp office.

It's a nice quiet campground right on the water. Has good amenities including a little general store.

A middle of the road provincial campground (more on that later). You'll enjoy your stay for the beautiful Canadian Shield lakewater alone. There is a smallish sand beach well-suited for children.

As with most park campgrounds, the good spots have been booked up for months. Plan far enough ahead and you can snag a shady spot on the water. Otherwise, its group camping for you! To their credit things are tidy and quiet.

An annoyance is the hard to find potable water. Spoiler: it's at the camp office and the boat launch 300 m down the highway.

Ah the highway! It is right there. Easy access to the location but expect dopey motorcyclists to spoil your sleep.

You won't be disappointed with this campground but you probably will try another of the half dozen other camping options of the Whiteshell.
