Busan Korea BBQ

This was our first time here, it was a bit confusing to find the place but overall food and service was good. Update! We went there again, and the food and experience were really good. Better than igi.

We were looking for a Korean restaurant and we just happen to come across this little place.

The food is just fantastic here.

This was a great value and experience! Simple ordering. Just scan the QR. The waiter was very attentive. The garlic marinated beef was the table favorite. Drink refills and nice desserts available.

All you can eat includes all meats and hot dishes, delicious. Reasonable price and excellent service.

I went to try out this new Korean BBQ two weekends ago with my girlfriends and this place had poor ambience. It's very small, crowded and smoky.

When we ordered on the iPad, there were very small selection of food. When I got my miso soup, there was literally nothing inside of it, plus it wasn't as hot/warm - I was expecting at least little pieces of tofu and kelp inside my miso soup.

After our meat came, my girls and I were heavily disappointed as the meat dishes were not marinated (therefore it had no flavour). We were basically seasoning our meat with salt and pepper. Not only were we disappointed by the meat, but when we ordered sweet potatoes, they literally chopped a slice of raw sweet potato and served it to us (not your authentic goguma mattang).

I also asked for ice in a cup as they served us warm water, however, they told me that they don't have cold water or even ice.

If you're looking for an authentic Korean BBQ restaurant, you're better off going to IGI or Isaytakoyummy. You'll definitely feel much better, especially paying for more than $30.

So good! The staff were amazing, and the food was so delicious. 10/10 recommend for a fun and delicious date night.

Reservation is a must as their dining area has limited capacity. You can have your fill within the two hours alloted in the reservation, but no worries as their service is fast.

I don't recommend this place. There are other korean bbq restaurants that are not over priced and have better quality of food.

Fortunately, there is another pretty good Korea bbq restaurant in the south of Winnipeg! Strongly recommend!

So delicious! This is my most favorite BBQ restaurant. They have two kinds of meat, original and seasoned, both of them are very freshly. They also supply some Korean food, I love the seafood pancake and pork soup mostly.

This ain’t Korean BBQ, total scam, even feel like disparaging Korean food

I have never seen the sauce they use in my entire god damn life, it ain’t ssamjang, gochujang, or chojang. They use ridiculously sour sauce which isn’t Korean flavour

It is all you can eat restaurant, but they serve way too small portion of meat and side dishes. Like when you order 1 portion of lettuce you’d get 1 lettuce leaf but you can only order 5 portion at a time. I mean 4 ppl on the table getting 5 lettuce leaves? And u gotta wait another 10min to get 5 lettuces? Wow okay. However, Korean BBQ is all about wrapping ur meat and ssamjang with lettuce.

Price-wise
It certianly is over-priced. On the other hand, It was a good experience indeed. After visiting Busan it made me realized that I’ve been having a quite good food. I deeply appreciate that part. From now on I would be so thankful for any food I eat except eating so-called Korean BBQ at Busan

I had made a reservation for 6pm tonight and because I had the same first name as someone else, the restaurant had given my reservation away to that customer with the same name.

If the restaurant reads these reviews, please don't make the same mistake again.

It was an okay experience for me and my friends. They were low-staffed so we had some wrong orders, still had to wait in line for our reserved table, some of the meat dishes were not marinated-just straight up raw meat, didn’t have enough big spoons for us so we used a tiny spoon for the rice bowl and soup. Other items on their menu were still good so I’m giving 3 stars. I would suggest hiring and training more staff and better marinating the meat.

Went here at the 1st day of open. Won't give 5 star if this is an experienced business. It is good quality and good size meats, but there is a lot of thing need to improve, such as sauce, seasoning and Korean dishes. Good service and hopefully better flavor next time:)

Another great option for grilling at your own table! Everything is ordered through your smart phone, so make sure it’s charged.

They have a great selection of meats and everything was very fresh. However, the Korean dishes were missing Korean flavours. Like the lack of soybean paste and pepper flake in the pork bone stew. You instead get notes of peppercorn and Chinese five spice? A bit confusing to the palate if you are expecting gamjatang. The Korean dishes I would say are not authentic in terms of flavour but the portions were fantastic and service was fast and attentive!

I would highly recommend checking this place out as it’s quite comparable to the one of the other popular grill it yourself spots in the city. May not be truly authentic KBBQ but the experience is there!

Very disappointed, would not come here again. First off, this place is not Korean so don’t expect your typical Kbbq restaurant.

Making a reservation was absolutely no use as the staff clearly did not expect us and we had to wait 30min for them to clear a table. When we ordered, we got multiple dishes that were not ordered and had to continuously ask for things we had ordered that did not come. The meat was ok, but the staff really need to get their orders right. They also did not have the courtesy to tell us 10% gratuity was included for groups of 5 or more until AFTER we finished eating so the base bill went from $39 to $50. Not worth what we experienced.

Also, they give you $5 off if you write a 5 star review here so I wouldn’t trust all these 5 star reviews.
