Very good experience overall. The server was great, attentive and food came out at the right times. Food was a bit salty to my taste but that may be due to my personal preference, but was very tasty. Atmosphere was great. Highly recommended.

Brought my wife here for a Christmas/Holiday date. Great atmosphere, service was outstanding, and the food was the best we've had in a very long time.

Always a great experience at Cafe Carlo! Our server Bonnie was so personable, friendly, courteous and efficient! Food was outstanding as always. There is something to be said about consistency and cafe Carlo never disappoints. Truly one of the best dining establishments in the city.

Service was excellent, personable and efficient. We had calamari and salad, but it looked so good we ate it before taking a picture. Fantastic presentation and taste was incredible for everything. Ordered Fett Chile and Pappardelle. If the picture looks good, it’s because it is. Had crème brûlée and espresso for dessert and it could not have been better.

The food is delicious and the server friendly however everything is over priced especially the wine! Also the restaurant is noisy and the seating crowded. We were celebrating a birthday and were told after two hours that our table was needed in ten minutes. My friend had to gulp down her latte. Not overly impressed.

A favourite place to eat. The food is amazing. Always a go to for a special occasion. Bonnie is such a wonderful server!

Have eaten here many times and it just keeps getting better. The prosciutto prawns are amazing and the fett chilli is imho one of the best meals in the city.

Truly the best pasta restaurant in the city! Luxurious decor, attentive staff and 1st class quality food. The price is definitely worth the fairly sized serving size and there is so much variety in the meal. I ordered the seafood pasta and it was stuffed with crab, scallops, shrimp and of course lobster! If you're looking for a little slice of Italy, look no further than Cafe Carlo!

The food is always exceptional.so are the staff.
Very friendly staff.nice to have non scripted conversations (like at chain restaurants).
If you've never been, I would highly recommend a visit. You'll become a regular.

Can’t beat the fresh pasta selections at Cafe Carlo! The Fett Chili is always great. On this occasion it had a great kick! Loved it. The gnocchi with braised beef short rib was also excellent. As was the butternut squash ravioli with brown butter and hazelnut. Starter house salads were a decent size. Great that they still serve complimentary baguette and flavoured butter. Wine selection decent as well.

Always a pleasure to eat here. One of my favorite restaurants in the city. I highly recommend the mussels

Service was on the low side of mediocre (Julie). The experience could have been better another server, it's hard to say for sure. The person we had should probably be doing something else.

It was a little surprising that the payment terminal displayed a minimum tip of 18% calculated on the meal cost and the taxes. Why are they expecting to be tipped a minimum of 18% of the GST and PST? You tell me. This is a management issue. We tipped 18% but we felt uncomfortable with the approach.

Heard great things about Cafe Carlo so we will try again. But had we heard nothing, based on tonight, we'd likely never come back.

The Ribeye special of the night was delicious and melted in your mouth. Potatoes were mandolined and crispy/ on point w salt level. The apple peach cashew crisp of the day w ice cream was delicious and big enough for two. Well timed service.

Had to change the reservation and warned them we may run late. Arrived within the window and were professionally greeted and immediately seated. Waitress accommodated gluten and dairy allergies extremely well. Great food. Reasonable price. Bit noisy but it’s a busy place. My out-of-town guest was impressed.

Had an amazing lunch on a busy Friday. Very impressed with the service, my coffee cup was never empty! Food was amazing too, came out in timely manner. Thanks Julie for being a great server!
