I FINALLY got to see this place after 3 years of waiting for the Canadian border to open back up (I'm an American). As a mosasaur fan, it was awesome seeing Bruce! I just wish there were signs in Morden pointing to the museum's location. After finding out that maps doesn't work for Americans in Canada, I had to ask a local man where I could find this. But navigation difficulties aside, this was a great experience!

We visited the museum for the first time in March 2023. It is beautifully done and and its clear they work hard to keep it engaging and informative especially in their limited space. My 10year old dinosaur expert was impressed and happy, although he wished there was more. Little did we know, there is SO MUCH MORE! I booked a dig tour for him and I, we went Aug 18 23. It was AMAZING! They had made a recent discovery of what may be a full mosasaur skeleton and we were able to go and participate in the uncovering of the fossils of that particular excavation. Our tour facilitator Gerry was fantastic, super knowledgeable and patient with all of our millions of questions. Gerry and the wonderful students employed by the museum taught us about the local area, the finds they have made and the dig techniques needed. So much patience involved in what they are doing and with the people on the tours! The tour may seem a bit pricey to some, but honestly well worth it! My 10 year old aspiring paleontologist was in heaven! He was able to share his own knowledge and learned so much more about ancient marine Reptiles (NOT dinosaurs!) He got a true taste of what a day in the life of a Palaeontologist would look like at an actual dig and loved every minute. Once back at the museum we got a tour of the "lab" area where they clean and catalouge their findings. We learned about all the meticulous work involved. They have so many more fossils back there that they desperately need more space to display their findings to the public.
Absolutely worth every minute and penny spent. We got to bring home some of the fossils we found during the day as well (after being inspected by the museum staff and they took out specimens they needed to keep and catalogue.)
Also to note about the tours is that the cost includes a fantastic lunch from a small local restaurant and water/beverages throughout the day. While out in Morden also make sure you take the time to drive through town and find their life-sized ancient marine reptile statues that are kid friendly and great fun photo opportunities as well
Thank you so much CFDC for offering such an amazing opportunity and a glimpse of what a career in Palaeontology/Anthropology or similar sciences could/would involve. It is clear that your staff and students have found their "calling" and love their jobs.

We booked a VIP tour, which gave us a personal tour of the museum, curatorial collection, and the lab where specimens from the field were being cleaned after removal from the discovery sight.

The 90-minute visit gave us the opportunity to learn things not described in the display.

Kaitlan was a first-class guide. She was enjoying herself too!

Great exhibits, while smaller it has lots of great information. Can’t wait to see the new dinosaur and would love to see them in their own building!

Affordable and engaging experience, kids had fun. The best part is they have a photo shop area where you can ride a dinosaur. Plus you can check out the baseball hall of fame for donations only.

Super informative! Ideal if you have young ones and you want to be part of their leaning Team in a great way! You thought you knew Dinosaurs. Always more to learn. The evolution of our home we thought you knew and did not. Did you know it used to be 10 degrees hotter before we had weather personal that it is now on average 3 degrees c warmer in the summer and about 1 in the winter. Did you know that we used to have much worse fire seasons than now. That's how we have so much coal. Learn more and enjoy it at the same time! Try taking this in along with the corn and apple festival! Lived in Manitoba for 30 years never new such a diamond was there till I saw on Still Standing with Johnny Harris. Had to drive all the way from Alberta just to see! It's great and in Alberta there are Dinosaurs not like these though! Lot more history in Morden stop by. Continue to make you time here worth the Trip!

Super neat fossil museum located in the event center. Very easy to find. Admission was less than $10/person. Loved all of the information, especially the drawers of fossils and flip doors of trivia. Bruce was incredible, loved the build up to him. Couldn’t believe how large it was!

Very interesting and well curated. Reasonably priced. Small but lots to see. My 3 year old loved digging for dinosaurs in the sand pit.

Had a wonderful time here with my 4 and 2 year old boys. They both loved it especially the sand box of Dino’s and the dino they got to ride! Wish this place was bigger cuz it’s really nice, and we’ll definitely be going again. It is a small museum so probably not worth a trip from Winnipeg just for this but lots more to see locally. Definitely recommend a visit here!
