Canadian Tire

I ordered winter tires and was told to wait 2 weeks. Two weeks later I arrived and was told that the delivery was not ready, we will call you. I arrived a month later, my tires arrived and no one called me. They had to install the tires on the rims and told me to wait and they would call. I arrived the next day and it was not ready. Terrible service.

This location has the rudest people working there. I merely said excuse me to 2 employees and was met both times with "I'm busy" and then they just walked away.

Went to customer service and told them my experience and was just stared at, with no response.

I would recommend shop ping somewhere other than this location, I know I'll never be back.

Wrong prices posted near the checkout area. Priced at 1.49 and charged 3.09, the cashier was not able to resolve the issue. Customer service did resolve the issue. However, it took a long time for them to figure out and provide resolution. In the beginning, customer service was denying that they could not do anything. After a little arguing, they said they could do it. And then, at the end, staff were asking for a photo id for a refund and resale at the posted price. Wasted time and did not want to give a photo id.

I like Canadian tire, who doesn't.lol they have almost everything you need. The Christmas section is amazing.

Not that bad service store is full of variety of stuff and staff is very helpful I purchased a big ladder? And a gentleman give me a hand to load in my truck I really appreciate and like to thank that gentleman.

Five months ago I gave this location a four star rating for the convenience of the instore lockers for pickup. Today I used the curbside pick up and what a disappointing difference. One star. If I could give the awful service and rude associate negative stars I would. The item I purchased was quite large (collapsible wagon in a box about the size and shape of a golf bag) although not overly heavy. With my mobility issues curbside pick up is a real lifesaver it's not just a covid thing. Not this time however. The guy that brought out my item refused to open the back hatch of my SUV stating "I'm not touching your dirty car" (my car really wasn't that dirty and he would have just needed to touch the handle on the hatch) and then dropped the item down right beside my door and stomped away. He left the box standing upright so close to my car I couldn't actually open the door to get out without knocking the box over. Luckily as I tried to manage using my cane while pushing the box over behind my car so I could lift it into the back a man came along and offered to help me. The Canadian Tire associate was extremely rude and didn't even give me the opportunity of offering to get out and open the back of the car so he could place the item inside. If this is the kind of customer service I'm going to receive at this location I will be taking my business to Fermor or Kenaston.

Good Canadian tire. Well stocked generally, staff could be more helpful, though not really a concern for me personally since I ussally know what I'm looking for.

The absolute worst parts department I’ve ever witnessed. I waited for half an hour hoping to buy parts. None of the staff wanted to look me in the eye. Including the department manager. They were too busy merchandising. I walked out. Avoid this store.

Went in looking for outdoor extension cord and some watch batteries. Cord was easy, but batteries require customer service assistance which is pretty much impossible to get at most CT outlets.

There are always store clerks to help out with whatever you are looking for. Although they have a lot of stock, and it's quite crowded, it is usually fairly easy to find what it is that you are looking for.

Don't go to this place for your auto repair unless you don't have any other options. I was there for oil change on a per-appointed time, it took about 2 hours. I was told that the reason was, they would also do tire rotation. From my observation, it appears they only hoisted my car to drain engine oils, left it for hours, replaced oil filter. Just before closing, a guy just lowered my car put new oil and rushed to drive the car to the parking lot. That was everything, they did not do multi-point inspection although I requested (e.g. My washer fluid tank was empty), did not rotate tire (this item is not on the invoice). Basically, they only spent 10 minutes on my car. Don't trust these guys, they will not do what you order/request for. Your car is not safe in their hands.

Had a price adjustment needed, and it was done quickly and with no issues.
One of the nicer stores, even if it's laid out weird.

Took a flat tire there to get repaired, it was just a nail so it should have been an easy fix. The guy said it was all shredded on the inside, that we must have driven on it, and then tried to sell us a new one. We asked to have it put back on the rim so we could take it elsewhere. They looked shocked. We took the tire somewhere else and sure enough it was still in great condition minus the puncture hole. It cost us 20 bucks and it took 15 minutes to get it fixed. Wasteful and shady. Wouldn't trust them with anything after this.

By far my preferred Canadian Tire Store. It is very clean and uncluttered which makes it easy to find what you are there to purchase. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Went in to get a car block heater installed and battery checked. I am a new driver and the night before my windshield wiper flew off but i was able to retrieve it. It was sitting on my passenger seat and the technician replaced/ put one on for me! No hassle no charge! Thanks so much Canadian tire i really appreciate all the little extra help this winter:)

Great service at the auto parts desk! It's the day before our first snow fall.and the lineup was insane for people wanting to book winter tire installation. The young kid who helped me took his time to find the right lug nuts that I needed. They wouldn't let me borrow an impact. However, I can forgive them for that.

This location use to be nice and close. I find too many security guards I was looking for plumbing and at one point two guards were watching me. I felt like they were bored the store was empty and needed to do work. However it made me never want to return. I think security is necessary but you should never feel followed. I was a long time customer now I go elsewhere. Easy to click and pick up though.

Do NOT go here unless you like waiting hours and days longer than they tell you. They will not even look at your car the day you drop it off. Made an appointment? They don't care. If you like being late for work or childcare then drop your car off here. Waste of everyone's time

This is the WORST CT in Winnipeg! Staff are unbelievably rude, it’s set up like a rat maze and trying to navigate the various one way gates and barriers is next to impossible (don’t ask staff for help with that either, unless you’re looking for a snotty response). You need a loonie to get a cart and if you need change (which we all do…. Who has change these days?) get ready for that above-mentioned maze, followed by an endless wait in the line for customer service. I had a large shopping list today and would’ve been dropping several hundred dollars, but, after 20 mins in line, waiting just to get a loonie to get a cart…. After being barked at by staff just for asking for guidance…. I took my business elsewhere. It’s like they think they’re doing US a favour by existing. Wow.

The staff were helpful.the isles are well laid out and it's covid friendly.as in. I don't feel stressed when I go to shop.

My winter tire had a side leaking, since I was under warranty, they've replaced it with a brand new tire only two days later. Amazing!

The customer service i received this evening was excellent. The staff treated me with respect and did their due diligence to ensure that the price match i was trying to get was valid. Going forward i plan to shop at this location more often as I have had no problems at all. Keep up with the quality customer service.

Super pregnant and about to pop. They had my item waiting at customer service and one of the workers offered to carry it out for me so sweet:)

Arctic ATV time! Got the necessary oils, filter, wrench and funnel to get that fall oil change done. Easier than I might have thought. Use the Canadian Tire website to determine compatibility for different filters. Fram can be one of the best.

The girl in housewares named layla was very helpful and fast at her job, she got me a masterchef coffee maker really fast! She was super kind and works really hard! Great stuff gal! Keep workin hard!

What a horrible experience followed the entire time in the store couldn't even shop and and look around without feeling anxiety because the security seemed to only follow me and my boyfriend just horrible.

I got some cool plants there but the automotive section is somewhat expensive. The staff seemed nice but maybe the customers service agents didn't know a ton about cars themselves

I brought my car in for servicing on Sept. 17 and was very pleased. The manager at the desk (Dustin) took the time to provide me with explanations and reassurance. Thank you!

Overpriced garbage. I bought cookware for $35, and it said originally it was $120. In Walmart the same product cost $30 normal price.
They are scammers, saying that the product had a higher price

I bought my bike here 2 months ago, unfortunately I have to bring it back for some repair within 2 months of usage. I told customer service about what the issue is. I waited for a week and half for them to contact me, haven't heared anything, got fed up and decided just to get my bike back. They told me there's nothing wrong with my bike. I tested the bike the moment I got out of the store.guess what the problem is still there.lt looks like they didn't even diagnose the problem.

Don't buy a bike here you'll just have headaches.

Hands down the worst customer service from the automotive department. Poor communication. I highly recommend you to never take your vehicle here. First and last time there.

Absolute garbage customer service right from the guy at the front desk, to the automotive manager and store manager. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE.seriously take it anywhere else unless you want a stress headache and no vehicle at all. Took them over a week to complete a 2 hour job. Nothing good to say about my experience with these people. They tried passing the blame to a guy on vacation. Real professionals.

Overall a good experience.
There was ample parking. There was hand sanitizer at the front door. I had been using the Canadian Tire website so I had an idea where to look for my product.
I went in looking for the aisle number. I found the aisle easily enough.
I had choosen this location because this store had my item in stock and the other did not according to the website.
Sure enought there was plenty of my item. I compared it to a few other models to see if this model I had choosen still worked for me the best, it did.
I walked over to the checkout area. Perfect timing the cashier had finished a previous customer.
My item was scanned and I was politely asked if I had the Canadian Tire card, it was scanned quickly.
I collected my item and receipt and was on my way.
Their website is one of the best. It makes shopping easier and faster.

The desk staff at the automotive department were useless. Claimed I never bought tires when I have credit card statements of it. All around bad experience I will not be shopping at Canadian tire again due to the sketchy nature of the employees.

Great and well maintained location, they have good selection of tools but the way that the store is distributed is a little confusing to find anything that you are looking for.

Clean and stocked well, but the staff while friendly don’t always seem super knowledgeable about what or where items are- and also never seem to be evenly distributed throughout the store. Luckily the website tells you what aisle has what you are looking for and if it is in stock. The cashier was very kind and did their job well.

Some unhelpful employees that don’t want to help customer. Busy filling the seasonal shelves. While leaving the store, I finally meet a lovely lady that work there that helped me.

Went to this CT as we like it. There is a $1 charge for a cart. I wasn't aware and because of Covid, carry no cash. I went to customer service, they couldn't debit money for a cart and had no token, lady at door loudly told me they had tokens for a month which does not help me today. I had several things to get but could only get a couple of light items as I had no cart and am handicapped with a cane. Not impressed and staff did nothing to help with a cart. Although there were staff around the store with carts to load shelves. I wonder how they managed to get the carts?

I have never been to this locations garden center. Was very disappointed in the care of the plants and the unprofessional behavior of the man in charge of letting people in. Have always shopped kenaston and portage avenue and will continue to do so.

So i went to buy a scooter, and i asked if i could try it out before buying, so an employee said i can just return it if i dont like it. So i try it out, and i dont like it and they wouldnt let me return it because it was used. They were so strict on their return policy that they couldnt make a 1 time courtesy, even though their employee told me i could return it.

So i asked to speak to their manager and they refused to tell me when she would be in next. Abismal customer service, especially the fat white supervisor with glasses, who tried to run away from me speaking to her.

The man who helped me was real sweet and helpful. (I didnt get his name but his wife also works there and brought their gentle and loving dog. "the therapy dog") I had a unique request and he was happy to try to help me problem solve while also not pressuring me to spend too much money. He seemed to genuinely enjoy the challenge! I was so grateful for this friendly interaction, and sense of community that he shared. I never expect that from chain stores in the city! I'd go back just to see him (and their sweet dog!) :) I'm sure many share this sentiment!

Reasonable prices, good quality items. Decent selection. Quick, efficient service. Overall good experience.

Went here for 2 items in auto section. Website shows stock on both but nothing on shelf. Not a surprise it's happen multiple times coming to this location, we get help and employee looks and can't find so goes in the back and although spent 10 minutes looking he then came back and used the same answer we have been told before on other items. These 2nitems were just delivered yesterday and not unloaded from truck yet. However its been in stock on website for long time. Had to drive 15 minutes to another location and no problems at all getting it.

Took my truck for a safety inspection. Initial inspection was done quickly, but then the re-inspection has been a nightmare. It failed due to a burnt out fog light. I replaced it myself and was told I could come in anytime before they closed that same day to have it re-inspected. So I went right after work. Well the mechanic had left (2 hours before they closed) and couldn’t check to see if it was working again. Worse, I was told that they weren’t sure when he was next in but it might be a few days. So now I have to call or swing by everyday to check if he is in. All for a fog light. I will never used the service department here again.

Never had a "bad" experience here or any Canadian Tire for that matter and all staff will help you to the best of their ability it just feels like something is missing on the customer service side of things at this location specifically.

I do not know how many times I should go to Canadian Tyre. Tyre purchase made it a horrible experience. Only Tyre Sales unit. Not the rest.

Store if refusing returns on essential items (hunting related) was told try luck at other store. During covid we are supposed to reduce travel not refuse due to you large amount of company profit loss.

We went there with the intent to purchase a snow blower. We asked for assistance from 4 different staff in different areas of the store. Apparently, the only snow blowers available are the ones at the front entrance. This is not what their website states. Long story short, as no one wanted to assist us, we left and purchased our snow blower from a different store the same day. Big mistake Canadian Tire. Customer Service is still highly valued.

I am an essential/ front line worker.went to this location to get supplies to keep an essential serivce business running.once inside i was stopped by an employe at the door.they ettempted to intemadate me by getting in my face and blocking my way and demanding to know what i was there to purchase.by doing so they violated their own COVID protocols.so i went else where to get the inteded purchases with a harassment and intimadation free expreince.you dont need teen agers thinking their cops at your front door.

Very efficient. The gentleman at the doors asked me what I've come in for and he pointed me to the exact aisles to look. Having worked for another Canadian Tire before during Covid this was a nice touch. Much better than the one I worked for.
