We did not get anything at Canadian Tire, so we were having a hard time to find the exit. I there is no exit in here?

It would be nice to talk with someone who doesn’t sound like they have been smoking a pound of weed for days and I need to repeat myself for multiple times haha I called for a simple adapter for a trolling motor and it was like I was asking for a million dollars …. And nobody had a clue what I was talking about when I know Canadian tire sells the minn kota motors …. Frustrating to say the least.

Always friendly staff there.
They seem to be a little bit more relaxed there, compared to most CT's in Winnipeg!

Selkirk is cleaner than other Canadiantires stores great staff and better stocking for most items

Always love going here, majority of staff are really friendly. The store itself is very clean and bright and they have a great selection of items.

The part's employee Brad an excellent guy knows his stuff not only in automotive parts but he's also an awesome mechanic as well he taught me a few things on my car very informative and knowledgeable too!

My friend and I were there yesterday to purchase a couple of items, Marie needed grass whip cord and I needed Flex tape. We are both seniors and the store lighting makes reading signs a little difficult so we asked a young employee where we could find these items. Without hesitation he told us what aisles we would find them in. I know all employees are knowledgeable and helpful but this young man did it in a way that really impressed both of us. I’m sorry I do not know his name but believe he will continue to be an exemplary employee and your store should be proud to have him. Thank you for making our shopping experience a helpful one. Took both my vehicles to this canadian tire for safeties cause I was told the mechanic was good. He failed both vehicles. The car did need stuff just wasn't sure what, but the jeep should not have needed anything. The mechanic said both vehicles needed close to $3000 worth of parts. Took the jeep to another place in winnipeg cause something seemed fishy. It passed with nothing wrong the mechanic at the second place told me that canadian tires mechanic was just trying to sell me stuff I didn't need. Very disappointed with the service there.

Good selection and reasonable prices. Staff are helpful but not very knowledgeable so don't expect expert advice.

This is one of the best Canadian Tires I've visited for customer service. We were looking for large tires for my son's project truck. Unlike many places we called or visited, the young guys working the counter were extremely helpful. Not only did they find what we were looking for, but they found a clearance set for less than half the price. They did a great job installing the tires on the rims and had them done when they said they would. When I came back to pick them up, the young lady who served me came out and helped load them on the truck.

One of the best Canadian tires, my husband and I drive here from Winnipeg. Great service, always have staff willing to help.

Guys it's 2: 45am and since 1am we are being kept awake as somebody is clearing your parking lots from snow using dump truck. Cant he imagine how much noise is he making and he is keeping entire neighborhood awake? I am sure he is one of your employees

Picked up a new shop vac today! 50% off!

I replaced a rear tire that blew out at this shop. I asked them to check the other rear tire and replace it if need be. They informed me that I had a whole extra season left on that tire. That tire blew out, from wear, a couple weeks later, with visible steal showing through the side.

Dangerous.

The person at the service counter was friendly and professional.

One would've thought that Canadian Tire would specialized in fixing tires? Had an appointment and waited for 2.5 hours to repair a single valve stem. The first hour was spent waiting for my car to enter the garage without customer contact. Staff informed that the technician broke the center cap on the wheel and had to return to the store to ask for my wheel lock nut. No compensation was offered for the excessive wait time and when asking to speak to the manager about the poor experience I was left feeling as though I'd done something wrong. Explained the experience to the manager multiple times and after additional waiting a reluctant $20 off was offered. This will be the last excessively time consuming and frustrating experience at this automotive service department after more than 10 years as a customer.

Wouldn't refund me on faulty automotive part. I even suggested canadian tire gift card. Manager could care less she was a karen

Tricked into buying an item for higher price by Canadian Tire marketing.

Sale on top off sale price. Management would not budge on price match after 14 days.

Purchased the item on December 5th 2021.

The return policy is 90 days. Was told by manager that if we did not use the item we could return it and buy it back at a lower price.

Be careful of Canadian Tire marketing practices. In my opinion they are not ethical.

Drop off tire for repair nov. 4. Tire scheduled for repair nov. 15. Went to p/u tire nov. 18. Nothing done for 2 weeks. Took my tire, had it repaired elsewhere. Never going to C. T. Selkirk ever again!

Very disappointed with the service I received today at the Selkirk location, was trying to return led headlights Canadian tire sold me that were incorrect, I spoke with the Teresa and she was the most disrespectful person I've ever seen in a retail store
She asked to me when I quoted her the return policy online!

Bought last week a brandnew waterheater from them because our old one had died. Followed the instructions of " how to install " a new waterheater. After I checked everything twice opened the valves so that the tank could fill with water. Opened some taps and the pressure releas valve to let the air out until water started to flo. When the waterheater was full I switched the power on so that it could heat up the water. Next morning checked if we had hot water, but NO. So I shut off the power, opened the top panel and with the manual in front of me started to check out some faults. I had power going to the waterheater, then I checked for resistance on the thermostat and had NONE. Now I have to call a service number and go from there. My advice to the public is, don't EVER buy a waterheater from CRAPPIE TIRE. It cost you about $600 and it's worthless, it didn't even came with a drip pan.

I was shopping online for pickup long before COVID, but love the addition of the locker boxes so I can just enter the code and a door pops open and there is my stuff!

My sister and I had a terrible experience at this canadian tire. We were sent a picture of the product we wished to purchase that clearly showed the price. However, upon inquiring about the product we were told it wasn’t the price that was CLEARLY MARKED. She asked to speak to the manager on duty, Sarah. Sarah wouldn’t budge on the fact the store made a error. I arrived at store, and also asked to speak to Sarah. I asked her about the mislabelling. Sarah said no, there is as the product numbers DIDNT match. I said, so you’re telling me it’s the consumer’s responsibility to ensure things are priced correctly, she said no. I said then it it was mislabeled. Even tho when it was pointed they immediately corrected it. She told me, no, it’s human error. She called for security even tho my sister and I were standing far away, not in any way being “irate” like they claimed. They told us to “change your voice” and “there’s the door”.

We left the store, and called corporate and spoke to an incredibly helpful supervisor, Liam. Liam took down our concerns, and quickly called Selkirk CT when we were on the line. Sarah proceeded to lie saying she had a pleasant conversation with us (remember when they called security?). Liam got his manager involved and the store manager involved. Liam worked hard to rectify the situation. When we went to pick up our purchase, we had two of best and most helpful associates; Shayla, and Kael.

The situation was rectified only because of Liam at corporate. I will definitely think twice before returning to the Selkirk location because of how disrespectfully we were treated. Sarah did not like being challenged on her own words, she wasn’t helpful, and didn’t care to try helpful.

The rating is in no way a reflection of Shayla or Kael, they both deserve 5/5. Liam at corporate also deserves a 5/5. This review is a reflection of our initial experience at this location.

2 hours to install 4 new rubber on the summer rims that were in the back of the car. Remove the winter tires, and put the summer tires on the car. Also they remind you to have the wheels torque checked after 3 days or 100 Kms (as they should) only the reminder tag they hung in the car had the wrong torque spec written on it. Spec for my car is 83 ft lbs, they put 110 ft lbs. I have been using this service dept for years. And if you are thinking 83 ft lbs 110 ft lbs whats the difference? I worked a a semi trailer manufacturer in my younger days. If you were caught not properly setting the wheel nut torque you were FIRED. Not warned, FIRED.

Was told via phone and at the service desk that they would price match with the C. T.in Steinbach UNTIL I went to the till. Aggressive woman from sporting goods unhelpful and wouldn't take the time to call to confirm sale price when it wasn't showing up on the computer. I drove to Steinbach where Delaney was very nice and I got the sale price as advertised.

I had a complicated deal that I was making, and then working with the bonus Canadian Tire Money.
The staff slowly and steadily worked with me until the sale went through!

I bought 5 General Evertrek tires there over the last couple years essentially replacing all tires on vehicle once. Service (for tires) has always been top notch and the extra 17$ warranty is so worthwhile its paid for 2 new tires at 250$ (roughly) a pop! Definitely recommend the service do not recommend the tire although 1 had roughly 70,000kms (not easy Kms lots of gravel) on it and probably shouldn't have be warrantied but was, because the belt separated! Superior service always in and out same day (although I do take in loose wheels) Great job keep up the good work over there!

Not to impressed with customer service when I called back. Rep was talking with another customer while I was asking a question. Then told me I would have to return the item and repurchase which is not on sale now. Which means waiting 5 days again to get it on top of making another trip to town. I understand essential shopping, but if you can not exchange sameway you shouldnt be selling anything. It's a simple swap
Response to management. I'm more upset about the rep's lack of respect. 1-Should not have been talking to someone while on phone with customer. Should have asked me too hold while she finished what she was doing. 2- offered a rain check or advised if there was an extension to return items due too code red. Instead of telling to repurchase online at full price in a spotty tone. The 2 working in curb p.u. Were super friendly and cheerful on friday and went extra mile to make sure people didnt feel ignored

Sorry, I understand more than anyone the challenges Covid has brought to the new normal, but some simple orders for curb side pickup, have been far less than satisfactory, and, frankly almost Laughable.ie Buying a higher end figure skates and getting home to find one skate in the box, Second, buying a snow blade for our ATV, and after 5 days past the curbside promise date, I just canceled the order and bought from a competitor with same day pickup. Third today, went to pick up my order after receiving confirmation, only to find one of the two items was not available, even though there were 5 in stock when I ordered it. I got the notice of the amended order after we got home two hours later.

I ordered online and was expecting a delivery date of 1 week. Order was ready in 2 days. Order was easily and readily available. Curbside pick up was quick, easy and the clerk was proffessional and friendly! This is one of the best Curbside experiences of the year for me.

The frustrations in dealing with this particular store are exhausting. Trying times are difficult for everyone and even before COVID there were far too many times I had to deal with disinterested and ill informed employees. They take my money on time but then I can't get anyone to tell me what's going on with my order. Enough. I just cancelled a $400 order because buying from some other business, even if I end up spending more money and having to go into Winnipeg, has got to be less annoying than dealing with Selkirk Canadian Tire.

I went for four new tires and had a terrible time with auto service, they ordered 2 tires to complete my all four request. The balance was way off, and the car was shaking, they said to bring it back tomorrow as their balancer was being calibrated in the morning. So the next day I saw them polishing the inside of the alloy rims (that cost more than the tires). The manager ran out to say I was watching and he interrupted the action. He told me they were cleaning the intimate parts. The balance was still off! So I took it to southdale and they said two of my tires are out of round, and supplied two new tires free warranty.
The tires were still out of balance. I ended up using a micrometer on the rims and there was a half moon ground off (higher on one side). So I had to buy new rims, again. I don't have a milling machine to make it flat again. And because the balancer uses the center of the rim not the flat side, the balance was fine until it goes on the car. That was an expensive tire change.
Never going back there for service.

Our regular mechanic was on holiday so my boyfriend and I brought his car in to get his tire patched up because it was leaking. We also agreed to get the free diagnostic done. After an hour we were told to come back so they could talk about the car. We were told the tires were so old they were unrepairable and thats why the one tire was leaking and that they were unsafe to drive on. We were also told the cars alignment was off and the car battery was leaking. We drove the car home anyway and parked it and decided to wait for our regular, trusted mechanic to get home. When he checked out the car, he found a small nail in the leaking tire, patched it up, he said all the tires were fine, and safe to use the tread would pass a car safety. He did say the alignment wasn't perfect but it was still safe to use. He also said the battery was just extremely dirty but it was not leaking. I feel like the mechanic knew that my boyfriend and I knew nothing about cars and was trying to take advantage of us.

Went shopping for 16 AWG ring terminals, the Certified brand ones in the automotive section were ¢50 more expensive than the GB brand ones on the electrical department! Doesn't sound like much but at $1.99 for the cheaper ones it is a 25% savings.

Staff were friendly, brought a Stanley ratchet in for warranty and was told they would not warranty it. Even after showing them on there website it said they could warranty it I was told no. A bit sad as I had warrantied one a week ago in Winnipeg with no issues.

Came to exchange something got stopped at the door asked if I had a receipt then was told it was the way I was walked that made her question me. I think that may have been a little stereotypical ‍️ but did not question my grandfather who walked out passed the same lady 2 min earlier with the same item. I think someone needs to be spoken to. Would not recommend to anyone in lower class to purchases something and exit you may qustioned and looked down upon because of your appearance.

The staff don't even know what they have in the store I hadn't been in months because the last time I was there inquiring about tires the employee didn't want to help me and recommended I go to Costco today the item I requested staff told me they didn't have it I found it on my own and the price was insane

Keep phoning and getting put on hold constantly at vehicle service desk. I know there busy but are they actually forgetting about me being on hold every time. Guess it's better I hope if I drive in to make an appointment, I live 30 minutes north of that Canadian tire so it's the closest one to me. Waste of time getting safety from them, they always find something wrong.

I got some great help from a manager that day. She got a box of driveway markers down for me. There not expensive so I was so impressed she found the time to get them for me. She was great! I'm sorry I didn't keep a record of her name for this. But that small interaction completely lightened my day! I was rushed grabbing these to get them into our new driveway before the first snow at our newly built property. Thank-you! I'll be back, again.

Each and every time I go into the store and need assistance someone is always there to assist. All staff are very knowable and if need be they find someone to help you out.

Great for whatever you need. Staff (especially evening and weekend staff) are sorely lacking in knowledge and customer service skills. If you’re hiring teenagers, they need to be taught customer service, they aren’t born with it.

Asked three employees where the atv batteries are and not one of them knew where they were? Otherwise nice clean store. This was the Canadian Tire in Selkirk
