If you’re getting anywhere from here, order it online because it’s a hassle to do it in the store. If it’s locked up. YOU CAN NOT TOUCH IT. You have to wait in line where ever the employee put it and watch 8 people pass by you has you wait for your item. The joke about this is they will put out the same item that’s locked up in a different place not locked. Funny.

Had not used Canadian Tire for any auto service before, so was a little nervous, especially since I did not have that much time.
Check-in was easy, staff were surprisingly personable, car was done right on time and everything was great!

What ever a person could use there from tools to tires some patio furniture to animal supplies.

The store has a really large selection of goods and I found the website/ app to be really helpful to locate items as it tells you which aisle to go to. The prices are often the same or better than Amazon. The people working at the store are often very unfriendly.

Came today to pick up my mobile order of my tent and cot (great deals!) and have my keys copied. Everyone who interacted with me was super welcoming and helpful. I didn’t ask, but they offered to help me get my stuff out to my car which made a big difference (I hesitate to ask for help with things like that, so the initiative was really appreciated). Fantastic service, great attitudes, and great deals!

Excellent service - walked me right to the product and pointed out the difference in the 2 choices on the light fixtures set up above. I wish I asked for his name - he was helpful and personable. Great experience.

I've been going there a lot more, pretty decent prices also. Seem to never be out of stock slso.

Found a really good deal for their toy sales before Christmas but selections were limited same with the stocks.

My car was vandalized in the parking lot. The manager told me they would not turn over any surveillance footage, or even look at it themselves.

Not a ton of stock for options for what I was looking for (youth skates) but granted was boxing day and I'm sure was because of Christmas season.

Asked for help finding something, they helped looked and suggested some other rows to look. The store is clean and staff are always helpful.

What I wanted was no where to be found. Ask an employee for help, but they did not move off their stool to help. Lousy service and lack of product.

I avoid going here unless I absolute have to. The employees act like their security guards and talk in a disrespectful way. It's like there's no training involved when they're hired. They're so quick to come to you if you have a bag or backpack but never to ask if you need help with anything. You should learn a lesson from Sobeys. They have such friendly amazing employees everytime I go there!

Went today to grab some stuff for hunting do went to the sporting section i was at the counter waiting for some help and no one was there but two young girls and a tall blond guy. The three of them were talking about there weekend and there friends Wille i was just waiting there looking at the they looked at me but didn't even acknowledge me, i left and went to customer service and asked to talk to manager or supervisor the lady at the desk call someone while i waited i stood yhere for 10 minutes and no one came so i left, very disappointed in the costumer service i got, I have one thing to say people if you kneed something don't waste your time going there its very poorly managed i won't be making that mistake again

Went to return something realized I had the wrong receipt (my bad) but the customer service rep didn't seem to like her job. I asked her if she was OK, and she seemed annoyed.

I really enjoy going to Canadian Tire when I need something if it's in stock. I don't know what it is about Unicity, but for some reason they don't always have what I need and I find myself having to go to the St. James location because they seem to be better stocked on certain items. For example, brake pads for my 2009 Civic, carabiners and a bag I wanted for my bike. At the beginning of this year I was looking for some bathroom calking and referred to the picture on the app, but when I got to the store the appearance of the product was different in person, so I had to match it with the SKU/bar code on the app. I feel like the store could be better stocked on items. I don't know why every store is different. It's not just Canadian Tire, but any corporate store in the city. That's my two cents on the matter.

If you live in headingley there is only few hardware stores. So if you bought some cheaper stuff, go there.if you bought some expensive stuff, it will very hard to return. Even Walmart easy than Canadian tire.

Feels like a smaller store than some of the others. 50/50 chance I'll walk out of there with what I need.

I have the same complaint as other 1 star reviews. This Portage Avenue store in Winnipeg has not only blown its reputation but also another customer. The new ownership is abysmal!
I went in to quickly purchase an electric kettle. I found one on sale, came home, and filled it with water. Before I knew it, my kitchen counter was flooded! I repackaged it and drove back to the store.
Making sure to tell the lovely gal at "Customer Service" NOT to put it back on the shelf, I was told that because it was used, I could NOT get my money back. "Hello". How can a person find out if a kettle is working/ leaking.without putting water in it?
Along came another gal in a black top (whatever that means?) and started to rudely lecture me about "corporate policies", that Canadian Tire wasn't responsible for the leaking kettle (the company that manufactured it was) and that she was just the "messenger".
I walked out with my kettle, shaking my head and wondering if logical thinking was beyond the intelligence of that (management?) employee in this store? The only thing I can think of is that the new owner has created these inflexible policies and the staff can't (or aren't allowed to) think for themselves?
I am done with this store, until such time as the new owner calls me. I have left a message for him to do so.

I have always loved shopping not too busy and I always get what I needed. And I can also say even if most of the cashiers are not in a happy and friendly mood all the time still, I go there for everything. I went just recently because I needed to help a co worker get some supplies for her kitchen and was surprised how rude one of your cashiers was. Operator #23 was her identifying code in the receipt. She was arguing with my co worker and was amazed how she never backed down and continued to raise her voice or maybe that was just how she spoke considering her heavy East Indian accent. She definitely has an attitude problem considering she is the one at work talking to a customer and could not contain her composure. She probably hates being asked. It just certainly reflects that this is not a management problem but indeed an attitude problem. I was appalled. Good thing I was just a bystander otherwise I would have slapped her in the face. I just don’t know how Canadian Tire train their employees. Clearly customer service is not a priority.

Always hard to find an employee to help, can take upto 10 minutes or more. Sometimes they don't have information on products.

Most annoying of all are missing prices on items.not marked clearly.

Sale items not in stock on the first day of sale is another headache.

It’s may long weekend tomorrow & you have 0 cans of butane for camp stoves. Polo location has 340 in stock. Who manages your inventory?

Nothing like going to CT for all your needs.
Their flyers and specials are great. Always find the staff helpful.

Edit: curbside pickup here is awful.waiting in line for 1 person at customer service to process returns for a simple pickup.same experience 2 days in a row.shame on me.

Canadian Tire is a national institution, often with some great deals, but being berated to sign up for a Canadian Tire card by some non employee who can’t tell me where the ketchup flavoured Franks chips are, lead me to make my purchases from the parking lot adjacent Walmart, with the added benefit of always feeling super skinny compared to all the other shoppers. Poor form Canadian Tire. Way to Scrooge up your shopping experience.

Horrible customer service was wanting to do a return 24 hours after purchase because of defect and just wanted my money back and they said no and only exchange for the same item and would not give any store credit so if you buy something worth lots have fun getting money back if something goes wrong with it

DONT get KEYS made at Canadian Tire. Got 3 keys made they didn't work and couldn't return them. "Customer Service" was useless. Lesson learnt, you've been warned!

This store always have sale items in stock. My go to place for any household, outdoor and car items.

Staff is decent, but the stores always out of the products when I try to buy at this location. Always end up running to polo location for the products.

Just went for an oil change.
A little over priced and slower than the quick change outlets.

Terrible customer service. Spoke with manager Terry who is more interested in proving himself right over providing customer service. This man is not on your side and will do nothing to help you. He has lost all my business and probably shouldn't earn yours. 0 stars is a more appropriate rating but not possible.
Update: I called Canadian Tire Corp customer service as suggested. I spoke to a wonderful lady and told her about my experience. She was very empathic and said she would forward my experience to the owner Randy. She expected he would return my call by the time the weekend was over. That was Friday, this now Wednesday and still no call. It is now obvious from the owner to the employees that this is their culture. So long CT.

The website is great for looking for stuff in what aisle it's in if you select the right store.

Little Darrell, the store supervisor could be the most rude and non customer friendly person I have ever come across. Condescending in the way he speaks, making life as hard as possible for its customers. I will never ever spend another penny at this location because of this little power trip of a human being. I would never want someone like this running a store. Very bad customer service.

Good location. Huge parking available in the mall. Canadian tire stores have good availability of tools and stuff for fixing and diy things. I like they have product discounts time to time. When it's time to honour Warranty this store has little hard time I thing there is lack in customer service too. Reps could treat customers way better plus update about the particular product or services if it's a less or no warranty products. Reps need big session on price match. Price match is very tricky too make sure you guys have clear image. Even welcoming part is missing big times I see reps working around and running away from customers if asked for help

They have never got very much stock on items they put on sale and to tell the truth there getting pretty pricey on some of there items much better pricing at P. A.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Needed an oddball key cut. The clerk was able to find a similar key blank that worked just great. The store itself is very large and clean. Will go back!

I had misinformation from an auto repair shop regarding a break issue. The team at Canadian Tire Auto Parts Dept.were super patient in helping me sort things out and select the right parts. They were honest and gave clear advice, no sneaky sales tactics.

Staff proved to be knowledgeable about the parts I required. In this case there were 2 options and staff helped me to make an informed decision.

I needed an air filter. It took 6 rings to get the guy to come help me. Once he came his attitude was bad. Not sure why I annoyed him before he came to help do his job but I guess it happened.

I was told at the auto centre what lightbulbs I needed for my vehicle so I bought them once I got home and tried to install them I realized they were not the right ones and they would not fit when I went to return them to customer service at Canadian tire the lady said she could not refund my money because the package was opened I asked to speak to a manager and he was rude and argumentative and kept saying he has no way of knowing if I had broken the lightbulbs the receipt was from yesterday and the package was previously opened and taped up when I bought them I feel he treated me rudely and you could tell the lightbulbs were not broken all I wanted to do was return the improper lights that they had recommended and sold to me firstly hire informative people secondly do not accuse me of something with no proof and thirdly don’t sell an open package taped up and tell me I cannot return it because I opened it. And finally the mono master headlights had a two-year guarantee on them

I know it doesn’t matter on their bottom line but it will be a while before I shop at Canadian tire again especially that store

Staff did a decent job following their requirements abiding to government laws and mandates, although since another staff member decided to briefly interrupt my shop i will only give 4 stars. Still a good store though and recommended.

Smaller amount of customers due to covid restrictions. Was great for service! Exceptional today. Didnt have to go find someone, short line ups. Should be this way all the time

Staff are working hard to appease everyone during these trying times. Always loved the Brandon store will continue to shop here on the regular.

It's hit and miss with the customer service. Sometimes you can get an employee who actually puts out the effort to help a customer; other times they could care less. Today, I had the misfortune of returning an item to customer service. The lone employee behind the counter (who was very kind), was clearly unable to meet the demand, with several people waiting in line to get customer service. Another clerk behind the counter would have helped considerably, but as the manager and other employees in the vicinity walked behind customer service desk, nothing changed. It was 15 mins to get through customer service. Maybe I should just go somewhere else.

Have everything I need from there and more (of course). Great prices. Staff is sometimes hard to find if you need help! And on stock days iss bit cluttered and messy.but that's just normal in any store! Good prices too!

A very popular store with most people however getting someone in a department who has any knowledge when you want it is an oddity. Hiring people with some knowledge or an inspiration to learn would be most appreciated. I was fortunate to have a customer step up and offer assistance when he learned no-one was available to do their job.

I took my vehicle in for a leak. They diagnosed it wrong and charged me a lot for it. When I asked for my money back for the wrong diagnosis they told me to get lost. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THE UNICTY LOCATION FOR CAR REPAIRS. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

The curb side pick up was fantastic, it puts regents Canadian Tire to shame. The service was fast and efficient. Estimated time for pick up was faster than stated. Great job!

Despite seasonal turnover - everything easily found. Checkout fast and friendly. Buying bulk pet food way cheaper than Dollar stores

It's a decent canadian tire store.the staff are helpful and courteous, but the selection isn't quite as big as some other canadian tire stores.
