Centennial Concert Hall

Enjoyed my first concert hall experience to see The Book of Mormon. What an event and what a venue. How have I never been here?

My granddaughter and I went to the Nutcracker performance by the RWB. I really enjoyed the show, especially with the special guests, the Asham Stompers, and the Rulsulka dancers. It was a great performance overall. BRAVO!

Saw Air Supply there. The acoustics are what you would expect from a concert hall.

Centennial Concert Hall is one of the main venues in Winnipeg and I have been here a bunch of times. In my opinion, it really has the best acoustics for all the main city venues. So, if you have the option of seeing someone in concert here rather than the Bell-MTS, the sound will be much better at Centennial. They also host all the main touring musicals and many special music events. They sell drinks before/after shows and during intermission, but the prices are unreasonably high (e.g, $3-$4 for a water or soda, or $7-$8 for a beer) and not worth it in my opinion. The building itself is starting to look a bit worn and dated, but for me, that’s a part of its charm. Parking can be a bit of a pain, so I would recommend parking west of Main Street in the Exchange District for ample street parking options.

Even though I was in a loge, I had an unobstructed view and could hear everything
