ChungChun Rice Dog Empress

Small location with no seating. The service was fast and friendly. The rice dogs are bigger than your average hot dog. The Volcano was very tasty. I would definitely get it again.

The food here is absolutely amazing. Our favourite is the whole mozzarella with the sweet potatoe topping and the chocolate one topped with the flakes. The employees are so cheerful and helpful. I will also mention they are so honest as I left my wallet there by a mistake. They kept it safe for me until I could make arrangements to get it picked up as I don’t live in Winnipeg. I highly recommend. 10 ️ ‘s.

Bought food from the empress location today and as I was eating, I noticed a long piece of hair stuck in my food.

Tried it second time around, everything was good, no problems with service.

Our first time ever trying Rice Dogs. The service was efficient and friendly and helped our party through the menu. I also appreciated the board of recommendations from all of the staff members, if you have no clue what to get, order a recommendation! Since it is an express location, there is no seating inside. Our party was not fond of this as we had to sit in the hot car. Regarding the rice dogs, I'm not sure if I picked the right ones but there seemed to be an unbalance of hot dog and coating. The coating was too thick for me, I should have ordered the Jumbo dog instead. However, my partner enjoyed both the squid dog and the half mozzarella dog. We will be back to try out more of the menu!

My girlfriend insisted we stop in today to grab a bite and I'm not disappointed at all. We got 4 corndogs, 2 volcanos and then my girlfriend got one of the cheese corndogs and I got a jumbo rolled in ramen. Was amazing. I was stuffed.

The food was decent. It was nice to try something new but probably not a place that you want to come back to too often. We got the Chunchun favourite combo for 30$ish, not worth the price. My favourite is the ramen hotdog, it has a crunchy texture and is not something you can easily find somewhere else. The rest are yam, potato and cheese squid (no real squid, just shaped like one), which are okay but not amazing.

First off, I couldn’t register online.
1-Winnipeg store doesn’t come up.
2-wanted regular mustard, she started putting honey mustard on, bad move!

I just about lost it at this point but was able to hold my composure.
I do not like sweet anything on my main meals, i said mustard, not sweet mustard.
Can’t register, had to use pacific location in Vancouver, so doubt i can order online.

Okay, I calmed down after the sweet mustard debacle, tried the hot dog, it’s okay but bit pricey for me. Ordered jumbo and for $6.99 taxes $. 84
TTL- $7.83
So heres my complaint:
-Jumbo, not that Jumbo
- Pricey for what you get
- can’t get regular mustard, that really upset me, i almost went ballistic.
- Taste is okay but based on my other points, I’ll not try again, not for me.

I recently ordered A yam and ramen hot dog. The yam was fully cooked but the ramen was still raw from the inside. I tried to find the contact info for them but unfortunately couldn't.

So happy that this location has now opened up Portions and deliciousness are just as good as the Jefferson location.
