Don't bother booking an appointment with Prakruti. She will not show up to your appointment (and not contact you to cancel) and you will never hear back from her again. My time was wasted.

Spent 2 days trying g to call at the 1800 number. Finally got through after 2 days of calling. After calling was told to go to my branch
Went to my branch on Marion was treated like a criminal, this happens at CIBC once a month and the staff treat me like a criminal each time. Closing my account and moving on! Worst vanking experience ever!

This is where the tru banking experience is. May, Wayne and Laticia are doing it perfect. Impeccable customer services. They treat you like a person. They make you feel worth and important. My family and will always bank at this branch. I now recommend all my friends to try banking at this branch and you will never be disappointed. Simply an awesome place to to bank privately and securely.

I was told over the phone that I would be able to go to a bank and inquiring about the holds on my paychecks.

The lady told me at the CIBC on Tache, that I need to have an appointment in order to do this and she was absolutely no help whatsoever. She didn't even offer to make an attempt to help me. She didn't even ask for my bank card.

I go to a different CIBC Location. And the lady was more than willing to help me at this one.

I won't be using the CIBC in Tache in the future. It seems like the staff couldn't be bothered to help their customers

My spouse and I had an annoying experience at the 119 Marion Street branch of the CIBC a few days ago.

Apparently we have the <cough! > luck to live near one of only two "totally digital" CIBC locations in the city (the other being on Henderson Highway). My spouse was the one who got the provincial government's cheque for dealing with the rising cost of food, but his wallet was temporarily misplaced (*it has now been found) ) and so he didn't have his bank card. He hoped, however, that by going in and proving that it was him he could deposit the cheque and withdraw some of the cash to give to me. He went in and came out.nope! They couldn't do that. They had no cash at the branch except what was in the ATM.

After doing some business at my bank - where the teller told me that my spouse SHOULD have been able to deposit the cheque, provided he answered some security questions - we went back to the CIBC branch and I went in myself to ask if my spouse could at least deposit the cheque, and I was confronted with a huge ovoid space with some large monitors and rooms apparently leading off at the edges of the room. No visible tellers. There WAS a table nearby with a computer and a ghetto blaster on it, but that didn't really do much for me.

So I inched forward, not sure where to go, when a woman's face appeared from behind a monitor where I guess she had been watching.

So (to make an already long story shorter) after asking some questions I found out that, yes, indeed, at MOST branches it WOULD be possible to deposit the cheque after answering some security questions.but not at this one because it was one of two 'totally digital' locations where they had no money (and couldn't access, apparently, that which was in the ATM), and couldn't deposit cheques. But it was still full service, the young lady tried to tell me. No it was not! I said, and nold her to pass along the feedback that this 'service' was terrible and that it did NOT at all incline me to use the CIBC. I also commented that the place was HUGE - I could dance in it - and that I saw no need for all this space. She just laughed and provided no explanation. I left. She also didn't suggest that my spouse replace his card when he told her that he had lost his wallet; that should have been second nature to her in our opinion! *

(*What I think happened was that CIBC decided to save some money by laying off staff and making the branch 'fully digital'; this would explain the huge space which would have formerly housed the tellers and people waiting to see them.)

So, a low rating for not being able to do basic bank transactions, for laying off staff, wasting space and trying to portray this as still 'full service'. Shows a lack of concern for people who don't drive (that's us!), since there is not another branch within walking distance. A low rating also for trying to portray this as a "service". Guess they don't care much about their St. Boniface customers either! (Of course my spouse shall likely be closing his account and taking his business elsewhere!)

I was unable to get cash out of the ATM machines. There was only one person at the branch who was unable to help. Very disappointing.

Excellent service and excellent specialist Harpreet Kaur. We signed up for a credit card and everything went great.

Easily the best experience I've had at a CIBC branch. The Financial Services Rep Kristen was top notch!

This is a "concept and training" branch. No tellers, the staff there are training, and it's not an actual full service branch. If you want season veterans handling your concerns, this is not the branch.

The branch staff are always reliable within 15 minutes of entering, if not immediately. They're a little less fast paced than more busy branches and thus are more concentrated with their work.
They're very versatile with many odd situations. This branch doesn't do coins with deposit but might be able to do orders for coins.
The atm are actually open longer than the listed hours, being open most notably until 11 in the night most everyday, except around Friday when I think its open until 2 for the atm. To be safe, just go before 11pm and enjoy the quietness and safety of being near a busy roadway.

Had an appointment here with a financial adviser to just simply open an RRSP and Savings account. The adviser was terrible. She had no idea what she was talking about. She couldn't answer any of our questions and we left feeling so much more upset then when we came. We will never go back to this location and may actually change banks all together.
