Called months ago to increase my etransfer limit.months later i call back just to be bounced from person to supervisor to person, and they dont see the past request.really.on hold for hours back then and nothing done, then again today just to find out.they are working on it.and put on hold over 10 mins each time.ridiculous.still not resolved.looking at banking elsewhere.

If I could choose zero stars I would. Horrid customer service! Never enough Tellers working, another banking rep.trying to shift everyone over to use an ATM rudely! CIBC needs to shake up this Branch and reassign the staff supervising it.

This blonde woman working at the customer service desk this Wednesday at 4: 30pm, refused to look into releasing a hold on a cheque I got through a trust as a scholarship that I've recieved before from the same place and also different cheques from the same source. She blatantly told me there was nothing she could do while staring at the screen and then at me. I felt she was very dismissive and rude and didn't want to help me at all. I went home and called the bank and on top of the original funds released, she was able to release an additional amount without any attitude and was friendly and polite. It honestly felt like she just didn't know how or didn't want to try. Bad service there at Regent today.

If you can do to a different branch do it, long lines and rude clerks.

They were taking out service fees when they weren't supposed to. Giovanna had promised to set me up on an account omitting service fees until I was 25.3 seperate times she failed to set this account up properly the 3rd time rendering my card completely useless in stores no matter the amount of money in my account. I've only been here a year and they've taken hundreds of dollars in service fees they weren't supposed to (they have reimbursed those fees) but waking up to not enough money to get to work and back isn't ideal. I do NOT trust these people with my banking anymore ESPECIALLY Giovanna. If she cannot perform her job correctly she should find a new one.

Invested in a restaurant right before the pandemic. Lost everything. Didn’t qualify for government assistance. Borrowed money from multiple friends. Went to Iqaluit and worked 14 hour days for weeks without a day off. Wanted to honour my debts including multiple loans and credit cards debts to CIBC. Spent most of the day certifying a check. Went CIBC where I have an account. Spoke to Ester. She wouldn’t honour the check. Made me wait about 15 min. I asked to speak to the manager or for her to give me the check back and I’d go to my branch. She assured me it wasn’t necessary and would get back to me within two days. Never heard back from her. I go to the Grant Park branch. Amazing people. Stay away from this branch

I am NOT surprised to see the 2.3 star rating. I have been trying to close a business account for well over a week. Was in fact told it was done on 3 separate occasions. Now it’s overdrawn due to the business account fee they charged me AND the NSF…. Which none should have happened if they closed it as I requested and was told as such the week prior. They wanted to split the account fee. No. Not acceptable. I have had to escalate this up the ladder. I have been promised by their customer care team it will be resolved. I should hope so. Even he was shocked at such a simple request going so wrong. Needless to say I will be closing the other 2 accounts and credit card. I do not recommend CIBC.

Wish I could give them 0 stars, the manger promises to get things done in couple of days (Corrine Shaw, name may be wrong). When I go to collect the document, the banker (Jonathan) who is assigned the task says it is not possible as it is not allowed by the bank, and refuses to let me meet the manager.

Same document has been issued to me by the bank on the past like 5 times.

And I have to wait extra days (may be 5-7) to apply for something really important.

I been a client for 8+ years, but will be closing accounts at earliest convenience
Make sure you don’t give your business to cibc, even if you do, don’t trust the regent branch staff.

The hours are out to lunch - not opening till 9: 30am then shutting down the business teller from 11am-1pm and running only one wicket all through lunch (manned by an employee in training). I was 4th in line and waited 45 minutes with 10+ people behind me. There were other employees approaching us in line to see if they could assist us at the ATM but rarely was helpful. Tip to CIBC: train these other employees to work as tellers over the lunch hour.

1 teller working and 15 people in line. Tellers can’t do the basic math! I would give you 0 for customer service if I could!

Very long lineups, even before covid, now they are even longer. Usually only 2 tellers. Some locations have been temporarily closed, surely they could use some of that staff to help out. Nobody answers the phone either, and I tried to book an appt online but that is not available either!

I've never been in a line that moved so slow. Are the tellers here incompetent or serving a larger community than they have the capacity to handle? I absolutely hate having to go inside this bank.

Friday, and there are two tellers open. Two tellers on a Friday after work? Waiting and waiting. People who are taking fifteen minutes and more obv should have appointments. Huge line, no end in site. Hire more tellers!
