Very accommodating when we were applying for RRSP loan. When they tried to get us to apply for a mortgage and other transactions but we declined, they started to "ghost" and never heard from our FA until recently. And then she said she has referred us to another FA who haven't called us until my wife called this noon. DO NOT TRANSACT WITH THIS BANK.

I forgot to mention this a long time ago but back in 2018, my gf and I went to this bank to cash our tax refund checks. And they gave us both a super hard time about it. Totally racially profiling us! Like we came there with fake checks or something when we literally had paper work from the tax office to prove it! My gf had it the worst! Was in there for over a hour just to be denied! Like why? ! Too much for us to have? ! We went to another bank and 15 mins later she had it cashed. Awful experience

I have been a loyal CIBC customer for over 9 years. Have had mortgage of my house from CIBC. Visited their branch on Ellice Avenue for some work. Needed to use the washroom but was told no public washrooms. Not sure how they count their customers as public. Requested again but was dealt very rudely. The rep repeatedly said no public washroom. This is not what you after such long banking relation
I am seriously annoyed by their treatment and is already moving all my accounts to other bank.

I highly recommend Sopheap Strausz from CIBC 895 Empress Street Branch. She will call you back if you need her assistance and will find every way to help you out with no hesitation. She went above and beyond in helping me and my daughter when we need help immediately. She is such a sweetheart with such friendly personality. I can give her 10 stars! If you need anything from CIBC look for Sopheap. I can take pride that I have been recommending her to my family and friends.

Day to day banking excellent. However inquiries about gaining a mortgage or having an existing mortgage transferred to CIBC had been lackluster. There must be a pre-screening in place as since my request to speak with an advisor last year still has not been acknowledged. I told someone recently that I am available Monday to speak more in depth of the my current mortgage however was replied with a suggested date of Wednesday. I am not sure whether the email was read properly as I specifically ended it by stating my availability due to work or all Mondays in the foreseeable future have been booked

Never enough tellers during prime hours always tuck waiting a ridiculous amount of time. No service person and always annoying when u see staff in their office appearing to be busy when there are 15 people to see a teller. Might consider changing branches and banks all together.

We are coming from Ukraine with my girlfriend. Next day after our coming to Winnipeg, we just hope that we can open bank card for any steps with money service. His schedule was so busy, but he found time for us! We were in perfect shock! Thank you so much for your service. Everything was so quickly and extra understanding! Such people make a great view of your bank service.

7 cashiers stations. 2 with attendants who ignore you for as long as they shuffle thier paperwork from one customer to another and 6 people waiting inline at 3: 30

I'm from out of province and I came to this branch with my baby the teller named Jerry games told me to go to my car to get my phone so he could get the code of it to finish helping me. After I got back in from lugging my baby around he made me wait in line again and helped another customer while I waited a second time in line.

Never had any problems with cibc until i lost my wallet & all the ids/cards in it due to my car got smashed and my purse got stolen. Called them through the hotline for a replacement card then waiting for 2 weeks and the branch never call me back to tell me it is available for pick up. I called them and asked the branch worker that can i pick up my replacement credit card if i just have my temporary driver license (doesn’t have photo on it) because im waiting for mpi to send me the new driver license card. They said “Yes its fine you can bring that temporary card along with your passport”. Today Oct 7th I came around 11am, the lady at the front desk closest to the entrance who offered to help me asked for my debit card (which i still have it with me) and my IDs. I gave her my debit card, my temporary driver license, passport. She went ahead and questioned me why I don’t have photo on my driver license. I explained to her my situation that im waiting for the new card. She asked me if i changed my address and why i have a driver license with no photo as she usually sees? Which im not…im waiting for the new card because i lost my driver license and applied for a new one:) (i had to explained that twice) Then this lady opened my passport, looked at the photo of me (I took that passport photos ~8 years ago and almost time for me to renew my passport again). She not even asked me to take off my mask but just shook her head for some reason? I just feel so irritated so i took my mask off then she didn’t say anything more and tell me to wait for her getting my new card. That is just unprofessional and not an ok attitude towards a customer.
