I came here to dine-in on Monday, the food was good as always but our server was a bit annoying, as he kept irritating us with his questions about food and service, which is good enough although you are not being expected to be asked 50 times. He told his name was Naman and he asked me to give a review and tbh this is what I think.

Excellent customer service with perfect quality and quantity in a reasonable price. I’ve tried so many restaurants in Winnipeg but this one is excellent and staff is also very welcoming and friendly. This Indian restaurant is truly a gem! The food is outstanding, offering a wide variety of authentic dishes that burst with flavor. The manager, Jashan is just amazing- friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making the dining and carte-ring experience truly enjoyable. I highly recommend trying their signature dishes. A must-visit for anyone craving a memorable Indian dining experience. Kudos to the team!

The food here has always been pretty good. We also order from here with food delivery services pretty often.

We were at clay oven for lunch time we spend about 50 dollars food wasn't too bad but customer service was ridiculous / horrible.maybe they are thinking that is the only good restaurant but excuse me you are not, We won't come back again.

Waaaay over priced. Nothing special about the food. Decent portions, flavor is ok. But nothing you couldn't make at home or buy in the store. Wouldn't recommend. Won't order again

Food was great and also the employees. But qty was not enough. Not worth spending $17 for small container of curry. But it was yummy so can’t complain about that. Will definitely come back.

Very Good! Just When They Give You The Drinks One Of The Glasses Had A Funky Smell And Someone Sipped It. Even Has Halal Options. 10/10

Food was good. Ordered the chicken thali and extra naan. Also ordered tea. Service was kind of slow. Overall a good staple Indian food place.

My kids loves this place. If u ever ask my younger one about Paneer Lababdaar and butter nan then this location is always his 1st choice.

Everything was alright but you guys need to change your dine in time as your staff didn’t accept guests after 9: 15 pm which is very rude as someone came with so much expectations

We really enjoy getting a few entrees and sharing them. Delicious food with flexibility around spice level and gluten friendly options.

WORST FOOD EVER. Will never go back again. Ordered lamb thaali. Everything they gave in thaali had no taste even mix veg and daal they gave looks like it was not fresh and was leftover from yesterday.

Super unprofessional management and service. Don't understand food allergies. Ended up getting a meal I couldn't eat and they still charged me for it.

Best place to try Indian Food in Winnipeg. I’ve tried almost all other places and hands down food is great. Service needs improvement and price is surely not cheap but a must try. Deluxe Biryani, Lamb Chops, Daal Makhni and Butter Chicken are their finest in my opinion.

Chili lamb is really good especially for the Asian palate but Butter chicken thali tasted too sweet for some reason and needed more salt

Was so excited to go for a birthday dinner, usually never a bad meal just mediocre service however on this night everything was horrible and my friend who was paying did not want to make a fuss, she did mention to the server and was told to contact the manager. Left 2 emails and heard absolutely nothing. Definitely haven’t been back since September and don’t plan on it, sad as it was our go to spot! Now found celantros and couldn’t be happier!

Good food, but inconsistent quality. Ordered Masala lamb chops and of the 6 pieces 4 were just bones that seemed like they had been eaten already. I’d stay away from this place. Too bad because it has a good ambiance, but portions suck for that price.

Yesterday we had the worst experience. We ordered takeout and instead of lamb we found shrimp in our lamb biriyani. Turned around went back to restaurant and they rectified the order only to give us the worst biriyani we had ever had from the restaurant. Again turned around to return all the food and get a refund. First they said they would only give us restaurant credit but as I refused and as I was leaving the restaurant called back and refunded.
We have been going to the restaurant for many years and we had realized that chicken dishes were not so great. Once we had ordered chilli chicken and it was so bad that we had to throw it out and we stuck to lamb/goat dishes only. After yesterdays experience not sure if we will ever go this restaurant again.

Always feels good to visit here. Always warm welcome and really nice staff.

Food is always perfect, nice view of outside, good sitting, good interior and lighting.

Servers really care about the customer and try to make their visit memorable and not like other places that forgets that the customers needs something or wait too long for their food.

Food is always hot and fresh and best place to dine in if you like East Indian cuisine in Winnipeg.

Overall, it was an average experience. Clay Oven is the kind of place I would recommend if you are looking for generally consistent above-average tasting Indian food. It won't blow your mind away, but it'll satisfy that craving you may have.

Tangy deep fried vegetable fritters that were the highlight of the night. I recommend trying these.

A classic. The chicken was surprisingly juicy while remaining fork tender.

$18.99 - Lamb Vindaloo - 1/5
Tough lamb that required significant chewing. Bland sauce that did not highlight the tangy and complex flavors this dish should have. I do not recommend.

$22.99 - Naan Party Platter - 3/5
Standard Naan. The flavored selection does not make much difference to the overall experience as these are overwhelmed by the flavors of the curries.

I booked a table for Father’s Day so my kids could have dinner together with their father but when we got there (we don’t live close and gas is expensive)
We found out they had lost power so weren’t seating anyone but doing takeout only?
I feel the least they could have done is called their bookings to let them know the situation.
I know the power outage is not there fault but I feel that location didn’t handle it well.
It gives me the feeling service wouldn’t be great there so first time there will be my last time.
