Comfort Inn South

When I first came to this inn, I actually didn't have a huge expectation. However, this hotel still remains as a good memory to me because of the cleanliness of the room and the kindness of the staff. In fact, I am quite sensitive to the cleanliness of the room that l stay in, but I was able to stay comfortable during my trip.
I personally want to thank Mrs. Choi, hope I'm remembering it correctly, for kindly listening to my request, always greeted me with a smile, and for keeping the room clean at all times.
I highly recommend this place if you put the most importance on the cleanliness of your bedroom.

One of my staff left a noticeable amount of cash in an envelope in the room when he checked out. The cleaning lady took the envelope to the manager. They notified me. Best news story of 2023. Congratulations on being awesome people.

Con:
1. The hotel facility is very old. The toliet water keeps running whole night, which prevents me from sleeping and they later cannot fix it. They tell me to completely shut down the toilet water connection to address this (cannot believe it for a hotel). The AC/heating is not working, so I almost felt that I was getting cold.
2. The hotel room has horrible sound insulation. A car in the parking lot made noises at 5am and also disturbed the rest.

The place is too ghetto for my taste for lodging. It's only two floors, so an elevator isn't required. So walk up the stairs you go.

Stayed 1 night at this Comfort Inn in June 2022. Room quite nice & bed was very comfy and pillows were also great. Problem was when I walked into the bathroom the next morning to get myself ready for the day. Walked in an immediately noticed floor was not clean & had dirt marks from what I'm assuming was wet shoes from previous person, and then beside the toilet the floor (hard to see) was stained from toilet splash. Also, one of the towels were stained. I found that the water also had a weird smell to it as well.

Breakfast was tasty in the morning, though.

Pros: The staff were excellent. Both at check in and check out, they were polite, knowledgeable, and made me feel welcome. Bed was comfortable, fixtures were a tad dated, but were in good repair.

Cons: The hotel felt a bit dated to me. Our room also had a slight smell of old cigarette smoke covered up by febreeze or some other deodorizer. Wasn’t too bad, but was noticeable when we first walked in.

The rooms were so clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend the Comfort Inn Winnipeg.

Congested rooms. Some of the services are good some are just about okay. Perhaps the reception could use a smile to welcome guests. Whole hotel needs a renovation.
