I have dealer with their Service Centre and was totally suprise with the service I got at the autobody. When we went to pick up the vehicle, the front desk person was rude with her approach and could not explain to us what work was done when I ask for clarification. She was reluctant to provide any information till I insisted to speak to someone who can explain the work done. Finally got the tech who worked on our vehicle and this young man was great, explained in detail.

Stay away from this so-called body shop.
They charged me $200 deductibles for no reason.
They will put extra not-required works on the invoice to charge MPI more money, and they will give you a hard time when you disagree with a scope of work and ask them to exclude those works.
They know that the car is not worth to be fixed; however, they said we will fix it to collect money from MPI. The car worth 10k and the cost estimate is more than 10k and will go up when actual work will start.
The management team is useless. They will give you hundreds of explanations protecting their staff and weird work procedures, but you won’t get any support as a valued customer.

The vehicle was repaired in a timely manner and returned clean. Abby and Sarah from customer service were amazing when I came to pick up the vehicle. Sarah also kept me updated with anything new that was happening while the vehicle was in for repair.

Really disappointed with the service. Not only was the work incredibly delayed but the communication about the status of my car was very poor. I always had to call (multiple times each day because no one answered) to see when it would be done. The completion date changed every time I called (ranging from 4 more days, to 1 more day, to 2 weeks). I wish I read the other reviews before coming here. I certainly did not feel they cared about me as a customer, and I do not recommend this business.

After I posted this review, I was contacted by the manager to share what happened. He listened with sincere care and was disappointed to hear about my experience. He wanted to rectify the situation, offering support with getting snow tires for my car. He was very involved in the process of getting my tires to ensure it was done to his standards and expectations. Happy to say the service was great, and I feel much better about the business.

Thank you for taking the time to hear my concerns and taking actionable measures to make things right.

Waited over 1 Month for the appointment and they called back saying no estimators are available and pushed me back another 2 weeks.
No Sympathy or courtesy at all even on the phone, Really poor customer service. The Management should really look into the this poor customer service and do something.

Really frustrated how they are treating their customers. My fiancé called them many times just to ensure everything is going well for the parts and appointment. Every time they tell him that no part is on back order and everything is going well. One day before the appointment they tell him they THAT ALL THE PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER AND THEY HAVE NOTHING YET. So we’re they sleeping every time he called to check. So much mismanagement and pathetic customer service. The girls taking the calls on reception never have any info to provide and just have one thing to tell u that WE DONT KNOW THE ETA FOR THE PARTS. Well if in 2 months I don’t know the eta for a single part then I think there is a problem in the whole system. Before booking our appointment I was worried reading their reviews but fiancé kept faith in u guys as u kept telling everything is on track. Now after 2 months waiting we are still where we were when we booked appointment in October end

I had a great experience at Crown Auto Body & Glass! The staff were very welcoming each time I was there (estimate, drop off, and pickup). They answered all my questions and left me feeling well taken care of. They really went above and beyond for me!

Stay away from this so-called body shop.
They will ask you to leave your vehicle for a week to do the work that takes a maximum of a few hours.
They will ignore your phone calls and emails if you have any questions.
They charged me $200 deductibles for no reason. Just because they checked “another” MPI screen. All my arguments that I don’t have to pay were ignored. I saw no attempts to help. At all. And paying $200 was the only option to get my car back after repairs. At that point, I was assured that it would take two days only to deliver a cheque. And after you make them realize their mistake, you'll have to wait for two weeks! To get a cheque with a refund.

They will tell you that anti-rust protection is included in the scope of work but will not apply it, saying that we don't do that afterwards (despite of I have that confirmation in the email). Horrible customer service, never calls when they say they will, took weeks to start on the MPI claim, took months to order parts, took days just to send it to get cleaned, my car was there for 6 months, I had to call them to find out the status of my vehicle, items from my trunk missing, took my car for a “high level” detailing but returned it with dust and crumbs in the cup holders, dust all over my passenger seat and on my dash.

Do not bring your car here. Best case scenario, they are incompetent and disorganized. Worst case scenario, they are malicious. 7+ month turnaround on an MPI claim. It took them 2 months to correctly identify the damage, after they misidentified it for the first claim submission. Their slow and incompetent service led to out of pocket expenses (rental vehicle, additional maintenance required to the vehicle after it say unused for 8 months). They essentially held our car hostage and made us pay for damage which any person with a brain would identify as directly related to the accident, but which Crown and MPI conveniently didn't think was related to the accident. I believe that this was because the initial claim amount was under the write off value, and once they identified the full damage (after spending the claim money), that put it over the write off value. Their only way out without loss was to attribute the newly found damage to wear and tear, despite all of the overwhelming evidence that this was accident damage. I can't prove fraud, but I can think it out loud. If they were to read this, they'd probably say that MPI is to blame for all of the problems. While MPI is a customer service nightmare of its own, Crown is not at all blameless. If they didn't have a revolving door of MPI claim customers, I wonder if they'd stay in business. Thieves.

Don't expect to be treated like a valued customer but a bother to them. Never was acknowledged by the front desk people; had to bring the vehicle in multiple times and still didn't get a proper work done; snarky attitude while "reminding" me, "come pick up your vehicle, we only cover your rental upto today", well, if you look the file closely, i didn't even have a rental; just to name a few.

Don't recommend.

**** 2022 Update ****: Down to 1 star for me. Brought our 2018 Murano in for some lifegate body work this time. They completely missed their estimate for how long the work would take. It's now almost double. Apparently they have the vehicle just sitting in the shop waiting to be painted after the repair finished a few days ago (so we were told). They are really hiding behind the 'estimate' wording now, so a word of warning on that. They will also not call you to let you know they will miss their 'estimate'. Extremely disappointed since we didn't have this issue the last two times we used them, but you're only as good as your last result.

They redeemed a passing grade for the very good service I got on the day I waited and had my bumper replaced pretty quickly, but was not happy with them when my 1-2 hour appointment on the Friday prior turned into 3-4 hours because of an issue with the paint sprayer late the day before. Why was my part prepped less than 24 hours before my appt? I declined to wait that day and came in on Monday. Like I said, very good service on Monday saved this review. Oh and another gripe.the parking lot is a mess! Nowhere to park when you're dropping off a car.

Extremely poor service and communication. Had to wait over 6 months for my repair to be completed and then they hounded me for months during a financially difficult time for signatures so that they could get paid for repairs, when they had not even told me that repairs were being done. They even went ahead without permission to repair things that I did not ask for, which cost me even more money than I was intending. Nothing but vultures with no empathy whatsoever working at this repair shop.

When I went to go pay for the repairs, they did not make an effort to help me understand why my MPI deductible was applicable, and the whole experienced felt rushed and like they just wanted to take my money and get me out of there. Also, they did not fully repair some of the damages that they were saying they would.

I would never recommend this business to anyone ever again. The Bar was literally on the ground and they managed to worm their way UNDERNEATH it.

Poor service. Had been waiting for over a month just to drop off the car for repair.
Poor technical service. The car was picked up, but the parts were not installed properly. And some new problem popped up on the next day after pick up and the manager and the shop was not responsible for the checking cost and repair cost! What a repair shop! The car was even worse than when I dropped the car off for repair. Will NEVER visit again and will complaint to Toyota head office for sure!

Literally the worst place i have ever been! My car has been in this shop roughly about 3 months now. We tried to call them multiple times, and they never picked up. In November, they called me and said that all the parts are here and they will be fixing my car soon. About 2 weeks ago, they left me a voicemail saying how my car will be ready by Dec 23. I just called them today to ask what time i can pick my vehicle up, and they said it’s not ready to be pick up yet. Later they called me and said all the parts are not here yet, and they are waiting for the shipment. Literally just all excuses!

Had my vehicles glass replaced as an after purchase agreement from one of the Crown Dealerships. It was brought in by the dealership. James and his staff had my vehicle in, job completed and returned as promised on time. Picked up my vehicle from the Dealership but on my way home received a call from James to make sure everything was completed and met my satisfaction, which it did. Great job James and staff at Crown Auto Body and Glass South.

I bought a brand new CX-5 from Crown Mazda, in the first week was on the highway and got a chip on the front bumper. I called mazda and got in touch with Jana Gauthier the manager of crown auto body and glass west at 3680 Portage ave. Within a couple days we scheduled an appointment and I brought it in to get fixed. Dylan did an incredible job fixing it up for me, looks like brand new. I would highly recommend crown auto body and glass to anyone who needs repairs on any of their vehicles. Fast & very friendly service!

Did a good job and on time but the manager JAMES so rude and unprofessional. A mistake of explanation from one of his staff (Nikky, Nice lady) and he couldn't apologize or handle the situation professionally. Sounding so blunt and like he cares less about customers request and complaints.

They called me for estimates, left my car and got a free car rental, i brought it back when they were finished, after a few days the called me back, and stated that the parts arrived, i went back, and left my car again, they issued another car rental, after a few hours, they called me back and says that there was a scratch on the parts.to make the story short, every time i go there and given me a car rental will cost me $15 for GAS before you return.where is the justice on this?

I had an excellent experience at the location on Portage (Crown auto body and glass West).
Jana Gautier is the Manager and was assisting me with my appointment for a windshield chip repair and body work. Jana was knowledge about the process and repairs. She ensured I would have transport while my car was in shop and accommodated my schedule. She ensured repairs were done in a timely manner and kept me updated.
Dylan was my service technician. He did an excellent job with the repair and paint. He even went out of his way and was late for his lunch to polish out a small scrape from my block heater cord.
Mazda did an advanced assessment of the damage (on top of MPIs assessment) to make sure they had all the parts they would need to do all the repairs in one appointment, rather then finding issues as they remove the body and realize that additional parts are needed.
I am very happy with my experience and would absolutely recommend.

Completely rude and unprofessional attitude and behavior from both manager (James) and employee (Kaden - female). No courtesy at all, not a single bit. When a complaint is passed on to the manager, he shows how much he is just doing a job and doesn't care how the company looks.over something as little as $10. By far the most rude manager I've ever spoken to. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere, sad part is it doesn't affect the manager or employee in any way.so I hope the company becomes aware of how employees like this are sending their business elsewhere. Some people really shouldn't be managers and it's disappointing.

After the work was done on my car, there was an airbag sign that came on. Asked them to check, they said its not our fault however the sign came after they did the work on the car.

Took my car there for windshield repair, they replaced the windshield but broke the cowl, had to escalate my issue to the management cause staff wasn’t accepting their fault, they replaced the cowl but broke the windshield again while repairing cowl, had to wait another month to get everything fixed. Maybe hire some better techs to avoid headache for everyone.

Kept us waiting over an hour to review our vandalism claim. Gave us no hint what was taking so long. Turns out they called MPI to get 4 times the estimated value to fix the damage. Did you know MPI paid for that assessment? Now my car is a write off because of Crown's outrageous assessment! Very upsetting. If we get a 2nd opinion we have to pay for a different body shop to see if they can fix for the MPI estimated value. You'd think Crown would have known if they tried to gouge MPI by 4 times the estimate write-off may be the result. But why would they care, as long as they got paid? My hour waiting was free. Right?

I brought my car in to get a windshield fixed. I rented a car while my car was in the shop for the day. My car was going to be ready at the end of the day but I couldn’t grab my car till the next day due to being at work late. Jana and jame kindly offered to drop my car off to me while I was still at work and pick up my rental car. James even offered to come into work early on Saturday before the shop opened up so I can pick up my car. I was so greatly that they were willing to work with me. They were amazing! They did an amazing job too!

I have zero good to say about Crown Auto Body regarding my $6000 MPI repair or the follow up service or the unrelated repair they performed. I should never have gone back.

Each major repair involved the front wheel assemblies. Since that time BOTH WHEELS AND ASSEMBLIES HAVE FALLEN IFF WHILE DRIVING. Both incidents could have been disastrous.

A bush league outfit if there ever was one.

Zero customer service skills. They are just frustrating. I booked an appointment thru email and when I reached there, girl at front said, " I don't know where the estimator is may be he is gone home I don't know".

Next visit on 11.29.2019 - Finally, James get Luzy to provide me an estimate for the repairs. Luzy said she will send me an email by the end of day as she took the pictures. It has been 12 days now still did not get any email. I mean seriously, if you don't wanna work just stay home.

Update: I took my car back to the shop for a couple of very minor repairs/fixes, and James was so accommodating and he just got it fixed for me while I was waiting about 10 minutes or so. Great experience.

The whole process from beginning to end was easy and professional. Repairs to my CRV were perfect. Can't tell I was ever sideswiped. Car returned clean inside and out. Communication throughout the estimate and repair including free rental car was excellent.

Took my wife’s vehicle here. This place is absolutely brutal. Customer service is horrible and take forever to do anything. STAY AWAY. All positive reviews on here are their own employees or people they know who haven’t received any work done to boost their reputation. There’s a reason it’s either 5 stars or 1. Would give negative stars if possible.

I've come here multiple times now for unfortunate situations that my car has been in, and I'm overall happy with this place! The repair work itself always looks great.

My only complaint is that they maybe don't pay as much attention to detailing the interior and exterior of vehicles after repairs as they should. Other auto body shops return cars looking brand new, and mine looked like the attached picture when I picked it up, rather than appearing freshly washed.

Not the biggest deal, but the little things do matter!

I brought my car in for an MPI assessment on the same day that I had work scheduled at Crown Toyota. When making the appointment, the receptionist advised that they could arrange for a drop off and pick up of the car between the dealership and the body shop.

The staff at Crown Toyota were professional, friendly, and good communicators. However, I was disappointed that there was no communication by staff at Crown Auto Body and Glass regarding the assessment (no phone call and no report completed) and, when questioned about the lack of information, the staff blamed me for how the appointment was set up (they told me it was my fault I had no information as a result of how the appointment had been made).

My takeaway is disappointment in the lack of communication and poor attitude by the front staff at Crown Auto Body and Glass. I will plan not to return in the future.

I wish I could leave ZERO stars. I had a horrific experience here 5 years ago and I refused to ever trust them again. Recently needing repairs from an accident, I hesitantly thought I might give them another chance since it had been a number of years. I have yet to hear back from both a phone message and an email I sent over a week ago in order to set up an appointment! Glad to see nothing has changed! Unprofessionalism at its FINEST!

Just had my car fixed by this group. It needed some body work and windshield replaced. They were fantastic; consistently courteous, friendly and professional. When I didn't have the documents/numbers I needed, they helped me out. When I wasn't even sure what was being fixed (paid by MPI insurance) they explained it well. And all the work was completed on time. I couldn't be happier.

Repair was done well, however customer service was awful. The timeline they gave me for repair completion was way off (3 days more than the quoted), no one ever updated me on the status of the repair, I had to call and talk to multiple people just to find out when the repairs would be finished.
