Curry King

I can't help but express my immense disappointment with Curry King. From the outset, their food and customer service have been consistently subpar. It's disheartening to witness a business thrive solely because of a lack of alternatives in the area. The fact that they've made a substantial profit off this situation is even more infuriating. Moreover, the reported behavior towards young students trying to make an honest living is utterly unacceptable. It's high time Curry King reevaluates their approach and strives for better quality and respect for their customers and the community.

The food they served was rotten. It smelled horrible. And the behaviour of the owner is really awful.

I ordered goat curry with rice and daal. There was no taste on food and in daal there was only water as you can see in picture. I wasted my money. I suggest all people to never ever try to oder food from this restaurant.

I usually buy chana daal and tandoori chicken biryani with egg and salad. Its always fresh and delicious.

Ordered samosa. Got burned samosa while inside it was raw. When asked about it the staff said that samosas in Canada comes like this. Was shocked and disgusted with the staff’s behaviour. Food quality is very poor.

My pick-up time was 11: 32 p.m, and I arrived at the store at 11: 31 p.m. And asked the owner how much time it would take to process my order; they told me to wait 5 minutes. When I asked him again after 7 minutes, they said wait for 5 minutes, and when it was already 11: 50 pm, I asked again, and he started yelling at me without any reason and told me that I can cancel the order and said he didn't care. When he gave me the order, it was crushed and mishandled. The worst experience over here. Don't order your food from here.

One of the worst quality of food I bought.uncooked and raw food. Had to throw it all in the garbage.
Please avoid at all cost and save your money.

Worst food! I ordered their duck curry and it was rotten. A person who is sober can not eat that duck curry. The curry was at least 5 days old.

Worst restaurant ever I have experienced in Winnipeg, they sale stale rot foods. Sometimes you can find free dirt in food. However, I would say if you don't want to experience something worst, don't go for it.

2: 17 am, they are open for take out till 3 am. I picked up a combo number 2 from their menu, which is a beef curry with rice and Dal puri. Food tasted good. Though the beef could have been a little more tender. Otherwise it was good.

Went there couple days ago and we have ordered daal and mutton curry. The taste was close to zero. The daal was bitter because they literally burnt the onions and you can see them floating around your daal. The mutton was for sure rotten and smelly. The worst food i’ve ever had. Baaler restaurant amar.

It is sad to say, but i and my gf ordered from them yesterday and we still in severe stomach ache, i dont recommend anythin from curryking untill there cheked and improve there cleanliness

The owners of this restaurant serve customers expired meat, this information is verified by one of their employees, this restaurant is known to clean up their restaurant before every visit from the health authorities. They also treat their employees bad.

I bought some food from here. There was literally pieces of plastic in my food. Worst food ever

Ordered chicken roast polaw today. What I got instead was raw chicken. The cashier working was apologetic but what troubles me is that chicken right there could kill someone and I consumed 1 3rd of it before I found out.

It's Disgusting.

I ordered the beef biriyani and finally, I got regular rice and beef curry mix. What a joke. The owner of the place was so rude to me and when I asked him, he just shouted at me. Please don't buy the food from here, it's better to have food from other Indian restaurants than this restaurant. They don't know how to talk with the customer. They treat customer like, "dog". Like if you have any complain about food, they'll ask you to get lost. The owner is a real motherfu**er. Worst experience ever.

I am sharing this review cause very disappointed with person who gave them license for cooking. I ordered 6 samosa and who put zucchini vegetable curry inside instead of potato masala. Size of everything was so small. Along with order 2 pc of prantha and mix vegetables. But it’s puri instead of prantha with so many unwanted and uncooked vegetables. I would advise if you have enemy then bring them here for food. Otherwise save your family from such a nonsense restaurant.

As a bengali restaurant this one is worst in canada. I think his wife someday told him u cook good n he opened that restaurant. The food test is really bad even if they cook the beef real bad. Swear to Allah, u will be disappointed if u go there

They will give you rotten food that has been cooked for days, and if you return the food they are gonna charge you full money.
The customer service is the worst.
No wonder why and how much people hates these bunch of people.
Wasting time and wasting money. They bring smell to the name of Bangladeshi cuisine.

My daughter loves the wings and my son loves the halwa puri, tandoori chicken is also nice, food came on time with pleasant customer service

That’s their beef khichri. See the quantity of beef only one small piece of beef with two bone. That’s not the right way to do business. Think you’re hungry got your food from curry king, came home and you see this. Who can eat those rice with one small beef. Ripped off.

The worst food I haveveaten in my entire life. The place is also very dirty. Some major cleaning is required. Don't waste your money there.

Food quality is at it's worst. I just bought a platter item and i got 2 pieces of rock chunk in the food. I didnt decide to report to manitoba health but i'll leave a review so that you guys stay careful. And their behaviour over phone is not something I wanna talk about. I am just so fraustrated about this resturaunt. Geez!

Update: in the recent months they have really gone soft on the spices. I guess they did this to meet Canadian taste better. I personally liked it better when it was spicy and more authentic. I use to only need a couple drops of the sauce to Make my rice spicy. Now I pour the entire sauce in and is not the same at all.

Quality food at an affordable price. If you are looking for some tasty unoque bengali dishes, this place is must go!

Updating my 5 star review to 1 star because the food quality was good at the beginning (when the restaurant opened) but gradually the quality became worse. The food is not fresh at all.

Food quality is decent, prices are good. They are open late and have delivery options as well. Keep in mind the food is spicy!

The most disgusting food I have ever seen. Will not recommend it to anyone. They even don't know how to pack the food let aside cooking it.

As someone from the region, this food is gross. Samosas doughy and not cooked through, shawarma is wrapped in a greasy paratha. Gross.

This is really heart breaking for us, we international students are really working hard in this hard situation (covid) to earn money and they are (curry king) literally looting us by giving whatever food they want for example; without any salt, too much oil, no meat, just because we eat halal they are taking the advantage of us its not acceptable. Moreover when we call them about their unhealthy food they don’t response they say you ate some food can’t give your money back or they don’t even replace the food as well, very poor customer service in-short.

No mask no precaution found on entire staff.
Even staff doesnt know whats available in the kitchen.

Their foods are just like surprise boxes. You never know what you are going to find out in your order, it could be hair, plastics, unidentified spices and the list continues.

Eating dirt off the ground is better than whatever they pass off as food. If you value your health please avoid going to this place. This place isn't a king not even worth being called a pauper.

It has okay-ish food considering the true heights Bangladeshi cuisine can reach. But since it's the only Bangladeshi cuisine based restaurant near the University of Manitoba, it has its benefits to the community.
Quenches the burning desire of tasting the food from home.
