This full-scale supermarket has been in the neighbourhood for 20+ years (IGA previously). In store Bakery, full service Deli (meats, salads, spreads), Butcher, fresh produce, frozen foods, International selection, flowers, and everything else, too.
Friendly cashiers + they bag your purchases for you.

Prices are very good (cheaper than CO-OP, Safeway, + Sobeys).

We ordered 3 dainty trays and 1 cookie tray for my Dad funeral. The tray we full of delicious dainties and presented beautifully. The price cannot be beat and their customer service was fantastic.

I started coming here for ready to go take home food entrees. The chicken pies are made with a puff pastry topping and a generous portion of meat. The barbecued ribs are good and I've tried the potato crusted cod. The beef pies use hamburger rather than small pieces of meat. There are many choices but the ones I've tried are very tasty. They have made up fresh salads. All look appetizing. A busy place.

I enjoy this store a lot. I especially love the spareribs and the different meals every day. I definitely like everything in the store the staff are excellent. Perfect.

It feels like they are stuck in time and not moving forward. That is the feeling in this store. Needs a good clean-up and organization. I prefer the downtown location.

Clean. Has great selection. Meat is terrific quality and fair priced. Fresh produce. Baking is delicious.

I like it because it's close to home and has it friendly staff, that doesn't follow you around the store staring at you on every isle (Yes, that's a problem at other stores, BUT not this one) ? I grabbed a quick meal that was already cooked and it was delicious. Thank you Dakota Foods

I love their deli. They offer meals made on site, that are delicious. It's a good alternative to fast food.

Quaint local grocery store. Big enough to have most anything you need but small enough to know many of their customers including ex pats who no longer live in the neighborhood

Although, It is not our home grocery. I have to say: DFF has the potential to be St. Vital people's choice of groceries. Clean store.
However, the pricing seems a little too high compare to multinational Co. (Walmart) and domestic chains (Superstore, no frills, freshco, etc). Or if that is what the management is after, then this store need to overhaul the concept, product quality, and services to be like sobeys (upper end on pricing). These are choices. You need to at least price match. They have WAY more variety, international food.
On the other hand, I appreciate many of the produce are source locally, the bakery, as many people said is really GOOD! + pick up & delivery available! And the staff is very helpful while needing assistance.

The staff have always been quite friendly but they aren't buying my groceries.which are grossly overpriced so I only go when absolutely necessary

Amazing store! Bakery goods are second to none, probably because they are made in house. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Locally owned which is also great!

Not super impressed. They have several "gluten-free" sections, but these sections are full of gluten containing products. As evidenced by the picture of their "gluten-free" section.

I'm a regular shopper and I can't say enough good things about Family Foods.
The staff, of mostly young people, are amazing! They are polite and very helpful. I buy all my meats there it's great

This store goesvout of its way to please the people that shop there, or people that just pop in. Fred in the meat dept.will order in any special meat you want.

Good prices.more importantly, They gave me access to 56 boxes without buying anything. All 56 boxes were packed and sent to 2 charities in Winnipeg. All with as new clothing, sets of matching dishes and full cookwares and general home wear.
I say Thank you to them.

The staff is friendly enough but the prices are a little over the top compared to what they used to be when it was IGA anyway that's my opinion

I like it because it's close to home and sell farm produce. I dislike it because the prices are soo much higher then any of their competitors.

I tried twice of this store, the cashier is careless and not kindly. I will try the third time if they make some improvements or not. If still the same I won’t go anymore.

Went there Sunday Afternoon around 4pm to pick up a roast chicken. I must say if you enjoy chicken you have to chase each bite with water then this is definitely the place to go. Very Disappointed in the Deli Staff overall more satisfied with the rest of the store. Gingerbread Men Cookies are A+ kids love them.

Before the epidemic hit, I would have given you a 5 star review, but after you've doubled the price of Toilet paper during an epidemic you've lost my business forever. Not only is that illegal, it's immoral.

First time I went there was to buy a Christmas dinner pack. After, I found out their meat packs, which I really loved! Prices are good, as well as quality. When I go, I usually do my groceries, too, but would like to see better produce.

Great neighborhood grocery store. First Tuesday of the month they have a 10% off across the store and they are open as much as possible (I.e. Jan 1st)

I was at your store today and a 12 pack of purex was 14.99!

The staff all have great customer skills. The store itself is conveniently located and has everything anyone would need. The prices are fair and their meat can be super cheap as well as other items too!

Enjoy the store, I get the meat packages. Seems that the last two times I've ordered my meat package I call to see if it's ready and it is. I show up to pick it up and they have to make a whole new one. The Manager is fast, and gets this donr almost instantly. Which is a plus! But I do wish my package would be ready like they say it is.

Nice little grocery store with great deli and staff. Welcomed change from the bigger food stores with no one to assist you.

Always enjoy going here staff is so friendly when your up at the till and even show you where things are if you can't find it. Good jobs everyone

Great prices, well organized and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. It truly is a neighborhood grocery store. Good selection of gluten free products.

Most of the employees hate their jobs and make it obvious.
Bought a frozen pizza and had to throw it out because it was so freezer burnt. Popcycles were completely thawed and dripped through the box all over my car. Bought a can of corn and it was full of mold and I opened it the dame day I bought it.

On the smaller side of grocery stores, but it has pretty much everything you'd need.
The selection of produce and meat is good, the location is really convenient and the staff are always very friendly.

Great meat pack prices! It's nice that you can order online and they phone you when it is ready. Will be going back for sure!

Things are a little bit on the expensive side but still a good place to find food related products. I personally bought Ice cream there.
