Both of our meals were great. The service was excellent. Our salads and meals were very nice portions. We left happy and very pleased with Dal's. We will most definitely be back.

Used to order Dals all the time but hadn't gone in awhile so checked it out recently. I called ahead and ordered a single fat boy and a Greek salad. When I arrived to pick up my order I was informed at that time that they were out of chili that the burger was supposed to come with. That would have been helpful information when I had ordered it ahead of time. I decided to get it anyways because it wasn't sure if they had already made it. I gave a small tip so for the burger and the salad it cost me almost $30! The burger ended up being terrible. The quality of the ingredients were not very good and The taste was not great. Portion size was small. The Greek salad was absolutely terrible. The dressing was some weird gross dressing that I've never seen before. I'm really happy I stuck my finger in it before putting it on my salad because I would have ended up throwing the whole thing out. It was in no way a Greek dressing in fact I think it had some kind of thousand island dressing in it? There was next to nothing in the salad, barely any ingredients. May have had some feta? The black olives were store-bought canned olives and they tasted cheap and awful. I ended up picking them out and throwing them out. Not only was the portion size tiny but the quality was just terrible and I will never order the Greek salad from here ever again. In fact I definitely cannot see me coming back anytime soon for anything on the menu. It's unfortunate that they've taken such a hit and had to decrease the quality of the food so much because this used to be a really great place to eat. I feel bad leaving the bad review because this used to be a great place and the staff is always awesome but for the price I paid and the portion size and even taste of the food it was just disappointing: (

Waitress was amazing, so full of energy and positive. Food was good but my partners chicken was bleeding onto the plate (we just took it home and cooked it more). Atmosphere is comfortable and laid back. Overall had a great experience.

The other people at my table's food looked great. I ordered the nachos.there are two ingredients.chips and cheese; like the ones I make in the microwave at home for $5. But For $16! A bit disappointed.we were also with a large group and the food took 1.5 hours

Reliable consistent quality is why people come back, I think the owners son is working very hard to maintain this high level of excellence to this restraunt and he also deserves acknowledgement of this - you are doing an excellent excellent job. Just order from chicken delight for suppertime and compare the quality of the fries for example then portion size and pieces you get (2 wings and a drum I got in the chicken delight 3 piece chicken dinner)
half filled coleslaw container, or the 4 tiny fragments of green pepper on pizza, not to mention cleanliness of that non delight joint to appreciate Dal s. At dals the chicken dinner was a large size portion of great coleslaw, huge chicken pieces no wings! And a FULL plate of great fries. Dals pizza is great they don't cheap out like chicken delight on topping quality, quantity.

If the option existed to give this zero stars I would. Dark brown chicken, over cooked, dry and hard. Had a horrible taste like old oil. Fries were soggy, coleslaw had zero flavor, and the gravy was salty as hell. The whole meal went into the garbage. Phoned and complained and they and they offered a credit unfortunately. How people think the food here is good, blows my mind. Its garbage, and has lost quality and consistency over the years.

Dals was around when I grew up in transcona and I loved it then, still love it now. I think they are the only restaurant that has ever consistently given delicious pizza! One of the best in the city, seriously give the meatzilla a try! (Its not a real pizza but they know) Never had an issue in 20 years, which speaks volumes. Try them out, youre taste buds will thank you. Thanks dals for always delivering fresh amazing pie!

I've come here several times and it's always been alright but this time was excellent. Kaely was friendly and very attentive to getting our food quick and making sure drinks were topped up. Both the pickerel and burger here are excellent couldn't recommend more.

Just went to Dal’s tonight before a Concert.

Ordered at 6: 50. A small Greek Salad and a Small Pizza. At 7.30 our waitress said the Pizza was coming. At 7: 55 - still no small Pizza.

Our waitress was nice enough, But, the service that she provided was terrible. The Greek Salad was nothing special either.

Needless to say … we did not receive our Small Pizza and left Hungry.

Very Disappointing

The food was okay. The service was very slow. The atmosphere was noisy. This review was done at lunch time. In the future, I would go back again and give them a second chance. We need to support our restaurants now that the pandemic has ended.

Unfortunately they will not use debit for delivery.food is great. I want a discount for cash or using my credit card. Not impressed. Cancelled order

This is the 2nd time I went into Dal's. Always a delight.

Had their veggie pizza 1st time and this time me and my colleague ordered Meat delight 13" pizza.

The staff is friendly. Crowd from all sorts of age group.

I would visit again and again.

My son ordered 2 PC chicken.barely any meat, mashed potatoes had a long hair in it.
Told the waitress twice just said sorry.
We had ordered pizza a few times that was burnt thought I would give them another chance.
Well, we are done supporting them.
Sad, they used to be so good.

The food is amazing. The pizza is phenomenal, the bruschetta is amazing. Anything you get here is really good. Super clean, nice staff, never had a wait time when I’ve gone, tons of parking, and a good experience every time. Will be back, and recommend 10/10.

Have found hair on a number of meals ordered and food was over cooked with extra charges on sides and over charged from base price of menu from there website…

My best friend said I had to try this restaurant because the food is delicious. She was so right! It was a Thursday night and they were busy, so expect to wait a little bit, but worth it! I had pizza, which was fantastic! Lots to choose from the menu and look forward to going back to try the pickerel! Highly recommend for a great local restaurant in Winnipeg! Service was super friendly too!

Walked in the door and was immediately greeted and seated. Place is nice and clean.
Service was not good. The girl spoke so quietly that we couldn’t understand half of what she was saying. We ordered the cheese toast for an appetizer and had to ask for silverware when she sat it down on the table and began to walk away. She brought back two sets of silverware and two napkins. No plate to use for our appetizer. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and because the reviews say a lot of good things about the food, fried chicken included, I ordered the chicken and rib combo. I specifically said to our server that “ I wanted the chicken and rib combo, with the half rack of ribs and two pieces of chicken “ and asked for the soup as the option between soup, salad or fries.my soup showed up promptly and was pretty tasty. When the food arrived and she put down a full rack of ribs with fries on the side. I told her that’s not what I ordered and she took the plate back. Shortly she came back with the plate and said to have this, my chicken will be out shortly. The ribs and chicken were really good! But our glasses sat empty far too long. We recommend getting take out on the ribs and chicken. One last thing was the menu says the burgers come with thick cut bacon but the bacon looked like it was the stuff they use at Tim Hortons.

Great food & great service. I don't live in Winnipeg anymore, but I always really enjoy this place when I visit. I'm also not a huge fan of thin crust pizza, but this place does it so well. I highly recommend that you try it if you haven't already been. They were also very good with my son who's 3 years old.

Wayyy to thin of pizza, wasn’t expecting that. Won’t ever get the pizza again. Very over priced for the amount of toppings you get. Gyro was good, overflowing with toppings.

We have never been disappointed. Pizza excellent. Chicken perfectly cooked.right to the bone. Both dining in or going to Dals. Excellent!

Where to we begin. Place is loud and our server whispers. Served our water in glasses that just came out of dishwasher same with our salad. We had breaded cutlets that were charred and and masked with gravy & cheese & sauce in other. Never bothered checking on us. Had to ask for cutlery napkins salt pepper ketchup & vinagar. Also had to Flag someone down to get our bill so we could leave the place. Would we go back? Not likely

Good food and nice atmosphere, but when I ordered the veal parmesan they brought veal cutlet, the days special, I asked why there was gravy and not tomato sauce, the waitress informed me that was not what I ordered, I didn't eat it and was shocked that I was not offered what I had wanted and was charged 26 dollars for a meal that was left on the table.shame on you for the lack of customer service.

It has gotten better than the last couple visits.
I have been dragged here by multiple people over the last 30 years and it has always been hit or miss.

Good food.

Service was 4.5 stars. But everything else 5 so. Average says 5. Will return.

Well Dal's dropped the ball today. Normally we flip flop between Dal's and another pizza establishment just to mix it up and support other take out companies. Today I ordered a bacon pizza and fries (REF# 0000021) and for some reason 30% of the pizza was shy of bacon and even cheese with these pieces only showing a small amount of sauce on them. Before I could take a picture the family tied into the pizza. The fries were great but the pizza lacked the usual high quality that I have been accustomed to. Time to monitor quality assurance.

*Drool* UM MEH GAWD! So delicious here. Done in or take out.you're not leaving feeling hungry that's for sure. I suggest trying the Greek salad, French Onion soup, Pizzas, Cheeseburger and fries. First time I came here I was so pleased with their food. I'm not sure what the other foods tastes like as I tried all of the above FIRST, and cant try anything else yet cause I love those food items so much. Lol BUT I will try all the rest eventually. DEEEEELICIOUS!

Food can be amazing.however not recommended you order when it's busy. We were told a 2 hour wait for delivery. Ok. No problem for good food. However 2 hrs and 15 mins. Goes by. Call to see how much longer and was told the order was ready and waiting for the driver. Food showed up a hour later. Dry over cooked pizza. Not the first time either. Last 2 times the pizza came burnt.

1.5 hour wait for delivery.seems this is common. So if common then a business should be adjusting. We called at 4: 30 and the wait was 1.5 hours. Food arrived at 6 pm.but they forgot the chicken in TWO of the rib and chicken dinners. Excuse was it was busy, Said they could send it out next trip (another hour?) or we could come and pick it up. If we wanted a cash refund we had to come next day and they would give us money back for chicken only. Or come in and have credit for both meals. Food was not very warm either.pizza crust had gone all hard from sitting. No more delivery from here. Will only do Pick up. (PS we also tipped well for delivery.) I understand its an Icon.but does not excuse not getting orders right.

The restaurant is good about checking for vaccination status and ID. It is well laid out, with a small restaurant area and larger lounge area. During busy hours, an order can take upwards of 40 minutes to make it to the table, but the food is very well made. The washroom is tucked away in the back. For some perplexing reason, there are two gendered washrooms, each with an individual toilet, rather than simply having two gender-neutral washrooms.

Nice crispy chicken, moist and tasty. Beef dip is real roast beef and is generous in portion. Soup, coleslaw and fries were good and everything was fresh. Service was timely and courteous. Worth checking out.

One of my favourite restaurants in the city. Best pizza in my opinion. Their Greek Salad is phenomenal. They should sell the dressing by the bottle.

I’ve heard about Dal’s for several years and have even sampled their famous fried chicken (hand delivered to Ottawa).

That said - the opportunity to visit and try first-hand, was something I didn’t want to miss. It didn’t disappoint.

This unassuming place has wonderful service and the fried chicken is a must have! My friend also enjoyed his pickerel!

On my next trip to Winnipeg, I’ll pay another visit to Dal’s and try the pizza!

My pizza was burnt beyond recognition.not even edible it was like solid burnt brick.its unfortunate this is their standard now.just kids/teens in the kitchen not sure if the one was even old enough to work. Nothing like it used to be. How you could look at this pizza and give it to a customer is beyond me.youve been warned.

Ordered Saturday night. Was told an hour and a half. Food finally came 40 minutes past an hour and a half. I live three minutes away. Lukewarm and Soggy and missing item.called to speak to a manager. Still waiting for a call back. And when you call the manager is never around. Or he'll be back in 3 hours.

Dal's is my personal favorite restaurant for pizza, chicken and more. It's a hidden gem that doesn't need to advertise. The taste and quality speaks for itself. The only problem I have with Dal's is the food is so good, it's hard to stop eating.

Was excited to try this place for the first time however disappointed. Chicken overcooked with thin tasteless skin. Fries soggy, nothing stood out for taste for a $60 dollar meal. Oh well gotta try everything once!

Big serving portions for a good price. Food is very good. Staff are friendly funny, and sincere.

Half decent food, overpriced for what it is. For example the chicken fingers aren't tenders or made with good quality meat but still more expensive than other places with breaded breast meat.

I'll forever be a returning customer. This is by far the best place. No reservations needed. Lineups come supper time though so go there early. Or on a off day. Great friendly staff.

This is the hidden gem of Transcona. Went there for the first time with my wife and we were blown away with the line up. Once we got a seat and had supper there, it was worth waiting in line. They have a limited menu but everything looks so good. I definitely recommend everyone to go here once, if they haven’t already.

Tried this place for lunch and had a bad experience overall, No service and the food was terrible. Tried it again a few months later thinking the first time was a fluke and it was the same. At least you are consistent. Even if its consistently bad

The food is really good and big portions. Pizza is awesome if you like thin crust. The service is great and staff are very friendly. We live at the other end of town, but we go there as much as we can. Definitely worth the drive.

Generally good food. Sometimes hit and miss! Be cautious when ordering on line as your credit card number is written on their order form which goes out with the driver! If the wind catches it or some such, your number is out there for the taking. Smaller outlets have debit/ credit machines at the door and it's time dals moved in to the modern world!

Ordered a pizza and asked that they go “a bit easy on the sauce”. Typically.they put way to much tomato sauce on their pizzas. We picked the pizza up and took it home. There was barely any sauce on the pizza.really really dry. Yuck. Called the restaurant and they said ok.will tell the chef. No offer to replace our order. Poor customer service!

There's two entrances, one for pick up and one for dine-in. They're quick-fast if you're just trying to buy a burger, and it's super warm in the pick up entrance all the time.

I don't usually go to Dal's but the few times I have the food has always been good. This time however was not. The dish I ordered, I ended up with a mild case of food poisoning. The rest of that day and the next was not fun. Will I go back, probably not.

The open sign was on and there were people inside eating but the doors were locked, I stood outside trying to call and watching the one goofy cook see me standing there listening to the phone ring eating his food also coughing into his arm and wiping it off with his hand

Best pizza Best chicken bar none. When my family comes in from Medicine Hat & Calgary & England this is where they want to eat.

The service was great, and the food was excellent. The entire atmosphere was very welcoming, even for families. My only moderate complaint would be that the portion sizes were quite large so it was difficult to finish my meal.
Otherwise, everything was great and I would recommend Dal's to anyone and will certainly be going back.

I come to this restaurant often for their chicken fingers + caeser salad. Absolutely delicious!
Came by again today and the server (can't remember her name) went above and BEYOND. I'm currently in the CIVP (community iv program) and walking around with a lot of pain PLUS an iv port in my hand is very uncomfortable. I was upset and crying at the table because of the pain and she came over and brought me a bag of ice for all the pain.
This place is amazing. Staff is very welcoming and easy to get along with. Would 10/10 recommend this place to everyone and will be coming back to eat here in the near future!

Took about 10-15 minutes for a server could ask us what we would like.

They served us drinks in glasses fresh out of the dishwater that were very warm, ended up have warm pop.

Undercooked dough and Cheese barely on the pizza.

Great little spot for lunch or dinner, lots of menu options with daily specials. Restaurant was clean food came out quickly and the staff were very friendly
