Deer + Almond

Everytime I’m in town, for the last 4 years, I keep on trying to eat here and literally every single time, they are closed or booked for a private event. Now I’m back for Xmas and again they are closed during our entire trip. I laugh cause I’ve never had this difficult of a time trying to eat at a restaurant. I’d love to go, maybe year 6 will be my lucky year in 2024.

Every dish on the menu is complex flavour & totally delicious! Jessa made the experience special with her enthusiasm and descriptions of each dish.

Really an outstanding restaurant! The service is awesome because they give you a wine tasting and also intricately explain the items you are ordering from the dining experience menu. Valpolicella Superiore and Deer Carpaccio are match made in heaven; it was my first time having a deer dish that too in carpaccio form - loved it and it was my favourite from the menu! Green Pappardelle was soft and tasty with a flavour bomb in that fiery chilli oil, wow Pork Schnitzel and Honey Custard had nice presentation but tastes ok compared to the first two dishes! The restaurant is extremely hygienic and tip top with a casual ambience Palette cleanser served at the end and complimentary starter received were also good

Amazing selection of food and drinks. Do not pass up an opportunity to dins here. Staff are amazing, friendly and very welcoming. A true Winnipeg gem.

Been here twice already and can’t wait to go back! Even though their menu items are pricey, they are incredibly worth it as the food is just soo good! I only wish they would bring back the challah as a permanent menu item because it’s totally out of this world.

One of the best meals I ever had. Perfect presentation, great drink pairing, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff, and most importantly amazing food. Wonderful. I would come back to Winnipeg just to go back to Deer+Almond.

Stunning …. No seriously stunning …. Spent the weekend here and will come back to Winnipeg just to have dinner here…cheers to the whole staff … Becky at the front of house was so welcoming and warm … the chef owners are great guys …. Support this place! Again if you are in Winnipeg go here!

Every detail was simply fantastic. The servers were so friendly and knowledgeable, sat down with us to chat with our kids and talk about the menu. Every dish so memorable and creative. This restaurant is top in Canada and a must visit on a trip to Winnipeg. My son ordered steak frites and the server said “best fries on the planet” and OMG…!

Went for the first time a few weeks ago and loved every last bit of it. Amazing atmosphere, fantastic food. We got a wine pairing with our meal and the Sommelier knew everything about the wines and it was very evident that she truly loved her job.

It was an amazing evening and well worth every last penny we spent. Would go again, if the wallet allows.

I can see why Air Canada called this one of the best new restaurants in Canada. Great food and service. Perfect date night spot or Friday night celebration.

Creative dishes packed with flavour. The mussels are the best I’ve ever eaten. Super friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. The restaurant came highly recommended from a local and will come back should I return to Winnipeg.
