Dolce Bake Shop

Used to like this place but witnessed some horrible customer service. Basically has become a scam since inflation has hit us all. Was at a birthday where my friend paid 100$ for a two tiered birthday cake. What came was pathetic, one layer and looked like something a child would bake. When my friend tried speaking with the “owner” he basically told her its her problem: total con artist. Never going there again, there are plenty of great bakeries in Winnipeg that won’t rip you off and then tell you it’s your problem; they are thieves. Greedy owner who has zero care or concern for customers who have kept his doors open for years. Sad to see a once reputable business basically become a scam in order to squeeze every penny they can out of people while putting forth the bare minimum.

Love it. I’ve never been disappointed with their pastries. The strawberry pound cake is a must try.

Coffee made fresh, one of the best Americanos I have had. Elcair was perfect, lemon cannoli was light and not too sweet and tomato foccaia was excellent. Cannot wait to try more!

As someone who appreciates good baked goods and has visited numerous bake shops around town, I must say that my recent visit to dolce bake shop left me thoroughly disappointed. The experience was far from what I expected, and I feel compelled to share my honest opinion to help others make an informed decision.

Firstly, the quality of the baked goods was abysmal. I sampled several items, including cookies, cupcakes, and pastries, and each one was a letdown. The cookies were dry and crumbly, lacking the chewiness and flavor that are essential to a satisfying cookie experience. The cupcakes were dry as well, and the frosting tasted overly sweet, almost artificial. As for the pastries, they were stale and lacked the flakiness and freshness one would expect.

Moreover, the presentation of the baked goods was subpar. They looked unappealing, as if they had been hastily thrown together without any attention to detail. The lack of care in their appearance made me question the overall quality and craftsmanship of the bake shop.

Furthermore, the customer service was underwhelming. The staff seemed disinterested and unenthusiastic, showing no willingness to assist or engage with customers. I had a few inquiries about the products, but it was challenging to get any helpful information or recommendations.

Lastly, the prices at Dolce Bake shop were shockingly high considering the poor quality of the products. I expected to pay a premium for quality, but unfortunately, I received mediocre baked goods that did not justify the steep price tag.

In conclusion, my experience at Dolce Bake shop was disappointing across the board. The low-quality baked goods, unappealing presentation, lackluster customer service, and overpriced items make it impossible for me to recommend this bake shop to anyone seeking a delightful bakery experience. I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving their offerings and overall customer experience

Chef treated us badly when we said we are three people and according to that we need a cake. Then he said we do not bake for 3 our starts from 7 people.
This broke my heart.

Totally dissatisfied with their service. We were ordering a cake, while explaining about our last year experience (cake order) we have mentioned the cake was lacking on flavours. It shouldn’t be a deal to hear your customer reviews. But all they said if you do not like the cake last time then, we don’t think that you’ll like it this time.

What a waste of time…

Totally worse customer service. I myself working as a customer service representative, and if I lack somewhere I listen to my customers and response accordingly. The chef really showed his bad temper. When I mentioned that my last cake was not upto my expectations so please make sure this time its good. The words he said, “ then why are you ordering again from our shop, if you don’t like that one you not gonna like this one”. I think if I was on his place I could have apologized to my customers experience and welcomed them to choose us again.
Moreover, I emailed and even sent voicemails, no response. I think it doesn’t matter how talented one is but if a person doesn’t have patience or professionalism its “zero”.

This weekend I celebrated my husband‘s 40th birthday party and there’s never a doubt on who I’m ordering my cake from. I have ordered cakes from Dolce Bake Shop for many many years at his first location on Regent and I now frequently visit the St Mary’s location. This cake absolutely did not disappoint. The originality, size, taste, and overall appearance was amazing. The owner, Roberto has created incredible 3-D cakes for many birthdays and my guests have always had rave reviews on the appearance, design and taste! His attention to detail is like no other, and I always listen to his suggestions because he knows best, and he has never steered me in the wrong direction.

Now that the St Marys location is closer to me I find myself going for dainty’s and a coffee more often than I should. Lol The staff is so sweet and the variety of pastries is superb especially their croissants. If you haven’t had a chance to try one, then I would recommend it. Best croissants in the city.

Worst customer service, the man at the bakery doesn’t know how to talk to customers, I guess it was the chef, this man was not ready to listen to what I was saying he just said “No” to everything I wanted on the cake and he was extremely rude.
Not recommending.

I'm very glad that I found this bakery. I was amazed by the variety of desserts and fresh pastries. I would also like to note the very friendly staff, they always suggest and advise something new for my family. Thank you for your great work!

Absolutely would recommend, I have been here so many times and everything I have tried has been fantastic. Incredibly affordable and so many options, there is always a reason for a little something sweet! Me and my roommate come here to stock up on desserts for every movie night. Give them a try and you'll keep coming back!

Amazing server/ cashier girl forgot to get her name. I absolutely love her energy and her service. Quick easy service. And cake was delicious I ordered strawberry shortcake. Best cake I ever had. Would definitely recommend anyone. Price was not bad either. Thanks a lot.

Dolce Bake shop has a large assortment of baked goods. There were an assortment of sweet baked items such as the rum baba, Italian peach etc.that I have not found in other bakeries. As well, there was a good selection of savory items (loved the seasalt foccacia) and pre-made cakes and pies.

Amazing lilytke bake shop. Picture is the Dolce tart, mini cheesecakes and Carmel horn, so damn good! Enjoy with their in-house coffees or teas. Will be back!

Their chocolate cake was best available quality in Manitoba and to no surprise just tried their Vanilla Cake and it's the same story.
For the quality they deliver their prices are LOW

Cute little bakery. Have a lot of fresh baked goods. Sweets, treats, candy for kids. Even some more savory items if you don't have a sweet tooth. There are tables if you want to enjoy your food there. Really yummy cannolis and fruit tarts

A variety of desserts. I took my time to pick somethings. Good price and nice staff. The only problem is the buttercream on the cupcakes. It is well flavored but overly sweet (I have a heavy sweet teeth) and doesn't hold at room temp, almost curdled. Curious to know the type of 'cream used. I will definitely go back to try other things.

Let’s promote local food and restaurants! I would definitely recommend visiting this bake shop for your bakery needs! Parking is available in the backyard!

Very underwhelming tirimisu and the few treats we grabbed from the display did not taste fresh at all.

Nice little bake shop, delicious sweets and treats. The young lady that works on Saturday's is so wonderful. A couple of times I had a dessert that didn't taste freshly made but overall a great place.

Once again the awesome cake for a birthday. The lemon raspberry. Also tried the whipped shortbread cookies.lemon, chocolate, lemon raspberry, raspberry vanilla. The products look so awesome next to try the cupcakes.

I am so excited that Dolce Bake Shop opened a second location in St. Vital. The selection is abundant, and so far everything has been delicious. Staff are so friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable about their selection of goodies. Plus, I think Dolce has the best coffee in the area!

I was in search of a lemon meringue pie and did not have 24 hours notice. I was unable to find a pie on short notice but Dolce came through. The baker at the Transcona location made one that day and delivered it to the St. Mary's Location for us to pick up - and it was delicious! Thanks again Dolce Bake Shop!

An amazing bakery right in our own neighborhood. Fantastic selection. Every thing tastes great.

I wish I had discovered this place sooner!

The store is super clean and well decorated. A beautiful ambiance if you want to eat in the store. The staff was very friendly and answered questions about dietary restrictions as well.

Their desserts are delicious to say the least, not overly sweet, and taste very well crafted. The prices are reasonable too, especially considering the skill and time it takes to make their full sized cakes. Honestly the worst part was making a decision on what to buy. The coffee is made from an espresso machine and tastes as good as (better) than your favourite chain coffee. If you like a London Fog, try theirs.

Also to note - they sell empanadas for you to reheat at home and pizza dough and sauce if you are looking for meal ideas.

Worth going out of your way for!

High-quality fresh entire cakes and danties for very reasonable prices. Just as good as the original Dolce on Regent. This is now my go to for all birthdays, anniversaries, and in between. No point in baking my own anymore. Nice to pick up pizza dough while there too.

I am so happy they opened a location in the south of the city! They have the best Italian desserts. Their Canolis are excellent and do not get soggy overnight in the fridge. I would recommend this place for any sweet creation and special event!

Just as good as their original location in Transcona! Excellent service, coffee bar, and everything from dainties to empanadas. We got a luscious chocolate mocha cake, and trust me, it didn't last very long!
