Dollarama

It's an alright store.

The size is rather small so it's easy to navigate, but there is not a lot of variety in specific items like size of chip bags or toilet paper brands.

The customer service is good, but they are currently understaffed.

I hate leaving negative reviews because I know that times are tough for service workers (to the point where I removed old negative reviews). In this case, I would rather leave a warning, and not so much of a bad review. I shopped at this location a couple of times to be sure of what I was perceiving. Firstly, while I sort of like the selection of products, I also find that it's nothing impressive. I did save a few dollars on my crafting supplies, but I also noticed how the cashiers never said hello and pretended as though I did not exist. At first, I took it personally and wondered if it had anything to do with me. Until I heard a couple of co-workers talk about their abusive work environment. That's when the rudeness made sense. I worked for an abusive employer in customer service back when I was in college, and we must have come off as the meanest people because our daily lives were so miserable. So, I don't blame the employees at this location but am sad that their employer doesn't care about their well-being. I am lucky enough to not need to shop at these types of discount stores and made it a point to never visit this location again. I hope all these employees make it out of that business, get access to decent training and find a better job. I had a similar experience at the Monkland and Alexis Nihon locations in Montreal, and believe that Dollarama as a whole is the problem. I know that some people don't have a choice but to shop at places like Dollarama, but I don't think that it's worth it.

The store itself is fine, but there are ALWAYS sketchy and threatening people inside and outside this location. There is always someone begging out front and at least one person passed out on the sidewalk. Most recently a lady accused of shoplifting got into a physical fight with the security guard, threatened to pee on the floor, then proceeded to pee all over the sidewalk out front and flash everyone. Gotta love winnipeg

Great place to stop if you need a few items. Great selection, and although the price point is getting higher, it's a good value.

Love going to Dollarama but not happy about the homeless people asking for money. Don't want to go to this location anymore because of it.

Very clean store and staff was super friendly. Found what I was looking for plus some. This store is well stocked with items

EXTREMELY SLOW! ONLY DOLLARAMA IN THE WORKD RHAT REFUSES TO UPGRADE TO SELF CHECKOUT, AND ONLY CALLS IN BACKUP AFTER THE LINE WRAPS AROUND THE STORE, IF YOUR OLD AND INCAPABLE OF Cashing out items maybe you should retire?

This location can’t seem to get competent managers or owners. The location is always filthy inside and out (they used to throw their garbage between the walls of them and bank) There’s always insane lines to pay and only one cashier. The staff don’t help or always seem to go on breaks when the lines are long. The staff basically speed walk throughout the store and just plow their way through with no manners at all. Get bumped into more often from staff then other customers.
Have had to run in quick for a loaf of bread n juice on a few occasions to then come home and the juices are already opened and the bread was moldy. (Each time different owners)

Dollarama, what can I say. Outta stock on lots of items. The line up at cash is often ridiculous due to only having one person on cash with 4 other registers closed. Then the one cashier calls for help and no one comes to help? Not to mention a ton of the items are more then a dollar?

Location is getting on in years but is usually well stocked with friendly staff.

Access to parking is okay but location often includes a pan handler or two.

Il y a beaucoup de choses, mais je trouves que certains Dollorama sont mieux remplies avec plus de places de stationnement.

It was a quick and enjoyable short shopping stop for a few items. As usual, the store was clean and well-organised and with it being a late Sunday afternoon, it was not crowded and easy to get the help or attention of the polite and serviceable staff.

With the one cashier working at the time when I went there. It was great place. It was a quick in and out of the store with the cashier being very helpful.

It's not necessarily the best location in the city for selection, but it's not the worst, and it's not typically crazy busy when I go there.

Friendly staff great selection people don't seem to follow the covid-19 rules when they're there and they're not strictly enforced

Is everyone knows you can go into Dollarama and find hundreds of things that are perfect for what you need at a good price and I expect the same experience regardless of which dollar am I going to. I do find this Marion location card section is quite limited and it's making me feel like I've got to go to a different dollar store now. The store itself otherwise is just fine but I buy a lot of cards.

It's a resource for all home and household items, it's also stock stationarys and office supplies, to me it's my place of work.

I like this Dollarama because they have better assortment of items than most Dollarama stores in winnipeg.

The lineups are always so long here for nothing, what's the point of having so many cash registers if only one is being used. They might as well not have any employees working there and have just 5 rob the robot working there around the clock.

Dollarama représente une superbe alternative quand on a besoin d'un certain type de produit à bas prix, on y trouve généralement tout ce dont on a besoin et souvent on y trouve de vraies pépites. J'ai une fois été agréablement surpris de découvrir un jeu Xbox One pour 4$ et qui est vendu au moins 30$ chez EBgames. Les rayons sont très bien organisés. Cependant, vu le prix des produits, ils ne sont souvent pas de bonne qualité et peuvent facilement s'endommager à la première utilisation, je vous recommande fortement de garder vos reçus. Aussi, peu de caisses sont ouvertes, du coup, les lignes pour faire le payement peuvent être très longues étant donné qu'il n'y a qu'un caissier ou caissière pour une vingtaine de personnes.

I love this store. It has many things the other Dollarama's don't have. It has a relaxed feel to it for some reason.

Always has what you are looking for and for dirt cheap. Who needs to spend 5 bucks for ketchup when u can get the same thing for 3 bucks? Lol snacks are way cheaper as is pop. No brainers.

The cashier that has helped me the last number of times I've been there has been friendly and helpful. I like that. Helps the day go nicer when store staff treat you well. Keep up the great work, and thank you!

I buy alot of items from this store, I have 2 dogs and a cat, and I get all of their food and treats for alot cheaper price. I also buy my cleaning supplies here at a quarter of the price that I would pay anywhere else.
I never go in this store and only buy one thing, I find so many deals.
The staff are very helpful and extremely pleasant.

Seriously when did going to dollerama be like shopping in Walmart you pay almost the same for things you can get from other stores it sucks alot of my friends and family have switched to doller tree because they have most of the same stuff for 1.25 not 3 -4 bucks I miss how dollerama used to be a cheap convenient store. I do still like the house hold decorations like the pictures and what not very cute but they used to be a dollar something or 2 and now its double sheesh

I don’t really have complaints about the store but the employees need customer service skills, most employees NEVER smile and are just dead eyed like someone else said. For a while I felt like hey only hired people who suck at customer service. The only people that are a pleasure of dealing with is the Philipino lady (always smiling) and Rheanne.
