Dollarama

I'm never going to say there is a 5 star Dollarama, but that is a personal thing for me and Dollarama in general. This one though? They get the 4 star treatment. Super friendly staff, always clean, and always well stocked. It's busy, but I've never been in line for more than a few minutes.

Friendly staff with easy to use self checkout machines. Just have to beware of the aisle creeps.

It's a nice location to make quick purchases and to look for anything that you can need for your home, from cleaning to groceries (except they don't have produce). The store is very clean and organized, also I have to mention that the parking lot is big.

I have severe stomach issues and the staff were kind enough to let me use the staff washroom. This is really appreciated as someone with an invisible disability.

Good experience, accept for kid in the store riding his scooter.
Great price on chocolate bars.

Lots of isles full of reasonably priced items. Kitchenware, crafts, food, gardening and many more items.

Great selection of inexpensive products. Kitchenware, cleaning supplies, canned and dry foods, huge candy, chocolate bar selections all at great prices.

Came to this store cause I needed my peppermint and spearmint candies and tiny baby socks for new grandson. The one in southdale never seems to have them. They don't even have baby socks.

UPDATE! Since one gift card I purchased didn't load, I thought I should check the other one to see if it worked, and the $15 gift card I purchased only loaded $10.98! This went from bad to worse!

This has always been my favourite local Dollarama store, however, tonight I purchased two gift cards that were supposed to be given as group gifts and one of them didn't load, and both the store and the service desk both couldn't help me (and the gentleman on the help desk phone line was incredibly rude), so now I'm out the money that didn't load onto the gift card and I'll have to come back tomorrow and try again when the store is open, because unfortunately I went shopping at 8 at night and everything is closed.

I will try again tomorrow and update this review if I get better customer service then! Now they have to fix 2 cards!

I was purchasing multiples of an item that was priced at $4 but it scanned as $5. The staff were all far away from the checkout and I had to go find someone. I was told that the price had changed but they had not gotten to changing the posted price. I politely suggested that this was not my problem because I chose those items based on the posted price. I was told they cannot keep up with changing the posted price because prices are changing all the time. Again I asked how this is my problem because, as a customer I should be able to trust that the posted price is the price I will pay. They refused to adjust the price to the posted price and then walked away to the back of the store. I'm very dissatisfied with the customer service.

UPDATE: I emailed Dollarama customer service. They asked that I provide photos of the item with the price printed on it and my receipt. They apologized and offered to mail me a $10 gift card. I'm still hesitant to shop at this location for a while, but I'll likely still shop at other locations.

Too often, things I want are out of stock. This can happen at any store, but this location is particularly bad.

Giving 3 out of 5 though in spite of this flaw, since they have great products (when in stock), at great prices.

There’s this white lady she has gray hair kinda big she always follows me around in there every aisle I’m down she goes there and whenever I leave the store after paying she always stares at my stroller to see if I stole then when she sees something she always questions what it is like mind ur business and she always does this to native people not white or any other race just native people racist woman fire her

It's Dollarama what do you expect? Total lack of service self-checkout and there's no one at the front even so I don't know why you just don't walk out with the stuff anyway like all the kids do.

I like this store, always have. I'm just thinking Dollarama should now be called 5 or 6 dollar store. Alot of prices went up. Shocked to see an item for more than 5 dollars.but I still like going in there lol
