What a lovely Winnipeg gem! The owner is the sweetest lady. Highly recommend the brisket noodle soup, we had it with the Chinese donut, gai lan and Shanghai noodles. Great value and great food! Can’t wait to try more of their food.

Always a great place to stop for lunch while in the city doing free deliveries of our Yurkowski Family raw clover honey.

Portions are smaller than they used to be, prices are a little higher than they used to be, but as a food producer myself there really isn't any way around that anymore.

Food is good. Price is fair. Pretty sure it is cash only but not 100% on that. You could easily miss the place driving by. If you work in the area worth checking out for lunch.

This place is fantasticly delicious. It's hidden away on a block of McDermot (between Dagmar and Hargrave) where you can easily miss it. And in fact, I ever noticed in all the years it's been open, until a few months ago. I finally went for lunch last week, and wow! I've been back twice now and have had the Shanghai Noodles with pork and cabbage. The noodles are chewy and delicious, the cabbage is nice and crunchy, the pork was tender and tasty, and the sauce was really tangy and delicious. It was served piping hot and fresh, and with a side of delicious oil-and-vinegar hot sauce. I loved everything about it. Chinese tea is included too. All told, lunch will set you back around $12 or $13. The decor is incredibly basic (wood paneling, 1970s-era diner tables and chairs), but at least it's comfortable. The staff speaks limited English but is very friendly. This is one of those hole-in-the-wall places that are so much fun to find, and you never know if you should tell everyone or keep the news to yourself. I decided on the latter.

Food here has always been great and service is always amazing, only thing is the place is really needing some major TLC or maybe move to a better location with more parking would make outstanding.this place has always been the one of the best for great tasting noodle soups been coming here for over 15 years.

CASH ONLY but I recommend this restaurant strongly to anyone in the area (or out of the area- like me) looking for a meal, its at the right price and not to mention delicious food
