Echoing the previous concerns that people are experiencing. I had a horrific experience at this store with trying to return a jacket that the store manager admitted was in perfect condition. I didn't have the tag on me, but had a receipt showing that the jacket was in my possession for a week only before I decided to return it.

I didn't have a credit card with me since I brought the debit card that I originally used to purchase my jacket online. When the refund got rejected because I was using a debit card, she tried to come up with various excuses as to why she cannot return the jacket even though she was perfectly willing to do so a couple minutes ago. First it was, the jacket has a smell and it was unsellable as a result. She admitted finally that there was no smell to the jacket and that it was in perfect condition. Then it was that I wore it out because I had to take a card that I put in there. After arguing back and forth that people put things into their jacket when they want to use them and that the jacket was way too light for me to even wear in this weather like I originally intended when I was trying it on, she finally settled on the argument that there was no tag and that there was actually no smell and it was perfect, but she couldn't compromise on this.

She frequently would go to the back for 10-15 minutes when she would get stumped and run out of arguments, which was absolutely ridiculous since it was obvious what she was doing. She'd frequently contradict herself and stutter, and then run to the back to try to come up with something else to reject the refund under the pretense of "calling her manager" (despite saying that SHE herself was the store manager).

We ended up leaving just because the experience was so frustrating and unproductive. It felt like we were arguing in a circle.

There are SO many other places you can go to get a good winter jacket with great customer service. Please save yourself the headache and frustration of having to deal with the store manager and her employees at this location. She will openly use the fact that this is the only Eddie Bauer location in Winnipeg as a trump card and will tell this to you to your face. The lack of integrity and violation of company policy is so blatant that I wonder who has chosen to hire her and if they are intentionally trying to drive away customers from this location.

Would not refund an item because I used debit and not credit, would not exchange for an item them had to order to the store, would not exchange for a gift card of same value, trash service, don't go here 0/5 stars if I could.

I've been getting all my winter gear from here over the years because of their lifetime guarantee. Today I learnt it's a total lie. The store manager refused to help me without a receipt. Who keeps receipts from over a year ago? What's the purpose of a lifetime warranty when you can't honor your promise?
The website says:
All products that are deemed defective without proof of purchase, as well as defective products purchased more than one year earlier, are only eligible for exchange or replacement with a similar item.

The manager said the policy changed because the store was acquired by a different company and they will no longer honor this policy. He was also very rude and made a scene by speaking loudly and was very condescending.

I will never go back to this store again. Terrible customer service! And it seems like im not the only one who thinks this based on other reviews on here

I had terrible service via online through the live chat, so I went in-store for help and was compensated well by one of their cashiers, Reshma. She understood my frustration with the online service I received and was able to make up for it. 10/10 customer service, will definitely come back because of her.

I had a terrible experience with their online service. I ordered an item online. After not receiving it within the estimated delivery time I contacted them to check the status of my order for which the response was not helpful. Two days later, I received a package containing someone else's order! When I called them, they no longer had my original order available so I was left with the burden of returning a wrong item and waiting 14 business day after the return of the wrong item for a refund. I liked Eddie Bauer and recommended it to friends and family, however, with this experience I do not think I will go back to their store.

Very nice clothing selection, but didnt realive the price jump, quite expensing, but watch for the sales here
