Had most of what I needed but when I had a? Staff member was rather un helpful better today found a vacuum my wife was requesting Bissell cordless with power head for $111 including taxes

What a beautiful, well laid out store. It was organized and had nice kitchen, flooring, lighting and bathroom displays. We are from out of town, we were in Steinbach for a swim meet so we stopped by. I work in the design industry and will definitely be referring my clients to go to EG Penners!

Yesterday when I was driving home, an EG Penner’s truck cut me off and almost caused a big accident near the Mitchell intersection. I’m not rich, get your people to drive more carefully. This is not the first time I have seen this with an EG Penner’s company truck.

Shout out to Zach in Flooring! From the minute we walked in, he made us feel welcome, he's personable and friendly. Even though our purchase was on the smaller side, Zach made us feel like royalty. He gave us a range of options in our price range with impressive product knowledge. I wish every dept had their own Zach!

It will have what you need if you know what your looking for. It cam be hard to get help on looking for little things but the sales people in the departments are helpfull
Prices not always the best but nit always the worst either.

The appliance sales rep was excellent. We ended purchasing a new washer and look forward to using it.

Went there to purchase some paint and primer. Got the paint matched to the color we needed. Which was light blue. Received a very dark grey primer? Was told that is correct. Obviously it was not as now the walls don't match at all. They were unwilling to rectify the mistake their staff made (apparently they do not know that light colors require a light primer). Instead offered a discount on paint. Paint that I do not need and do not want. Why would I buy more? I need a correct primer. So money thrown in the garbage now. Was going to purchase a few thousand dollars of flooring there but I think we better not do that looking at how they are not very competent and will not even fix their mistakes. Cannot risk losing a few thousand dollars due to their mistakes.

Large selection and well shocked building supply retailer. Competitive pricing. Sometimes difficult to get in aisle service/help, but they have a very knowledgeable customer service desk.

Steady decline really great service to less then average. Tonight's issue was shelf one price the till said another price. In 2 months 6 of these moments all met with well that's what the till said. If you get forcefull they will not fix even if you mention consumer law the just ignore your info. All and all very poor service

Can usually find what you need, however the staff aren't eager to assist you. It would be nice if they were to ask if you need help in finding something instead of leaning against the counter in obvious boredom. Not angry or anything, just know what you should do if you truly want to sell something.

Worst building center in South East Manitoba!
There is about 1 person in every department that knows there staff. The others are mostly useless
I had material delivered to me for a project all summer long and those loading guys deliver you the worst quality of everything. Terrible And they are more expensive than any building center in Manitoba unless they give you a deal.

On more than one occasion I have phoned to check pricing on a variety of items, and minutes later I show up to get them and the order desk says they have no stock! Thanks so much for wasting my time and fuel.

Purchased kitchen and bathroom cabinetry through Eg Penners, I placed my order April of 2021 and it’s still not finished.been waiting over 6 months for warranty items to come in that are supposed to take 3 weeks. If the product doesn’t come damaged it is ordered wrong. Haven’t had one delivery come with all the expected items actually ready. Customer service is atrocious can’t get a straight answer from anyone just a bunch of excuses. If you leave a voicemail or email don’t expect a reply for a few weeks or at all.

If I could give 0 star I would. I have been trying to get cabinets finished since Feb 15 with no one returning my calls. Initial cabinet install included all missing handles, soft close, cabinet door missing, counter top damaged and one cabinet the wrong size. I have contacted every week since the install with no luck of anyone contacting me. It is may 12 and I still do not have the job yet completed. Poor customer service and highly unprofessional staff when trying to call they put me on hold and hung up on me, promised supervisor call back and still no one has contacted to apologize and offer any type of compensation. Very poor experience would never recommend this company. Provided several opportunities for them to apologize and acknowledge the situation which they failed to do. Please do your self a service and do not support this business if you don’t want a head ache trying to get unfinished work completed.

Absolutely the worst staff and people you can have working there worked for the company almost 1 full year to find out I got let go because their is so many snakes in that company and rats. Just so everybody is aware don't work for this company they don't pay enough and make you work like a dog

I went to penned to pick stuff up today and Luis at the loading treated me with excellent service! Hands downs the best service I have ever had at Penner! Thank Luis! You made my day!

Purchase some shelving there. The guy at the service counter was yes to everything. The young man at the counter where they cut the boards said yes to everything. After everything was cut and I got home I found out that it was not nearly what I wanted. Went back talk to the supervisor. Not helpful at all. His attitude made it feel like it was all my fault. Not a good experience at all. Having been a customer at this place for the last 25 years leave the sour taste.

Knowledge on products were poor and badly informed. Customer service was atrocious. Never got a clear answer on return policy either. Very bad experience with all 3 recent visits.

I bought paint, but they fired porters dad so thats definitely a turn off. Just letting yall know

Thank you Tricia for your amazing service when I was replacing a toilet and looking at replacing a tub. Your knowledge and service made me confident I chose the right store for my reno needs. The rest of your plumbing guys were also helpful with finding parts when I wanted some odd parts. Thanks for making it a pleasant shopping experience.

Poor customer service. If your not a contractor, they don't care about "cash customers". I will never go back to Penner Building.

They need to stock more stuff. Never have what I need here. Do like the idea of a locally owned and operated lumber yard tho

What a joke! Nobody is trained nobody cares and everyone is lazy I asked 5 people a simple question and everyone transfered me to someone else my gawd! And your prices r thru the roof bring HomeDepot to stienbach EFF PENNER

Not great with customer service. I went in to buy lights needing a total of 4 lights and expecting to spend close to $1000. I walked around the section for about 10mins before finally deciding to approach someone at their desk because they didn't even acknowledge I was there. There was 3 sales representatives at their desks and no other customers but me in the section. I explained what I was looking for, the lady showed me one little box light, just a plain Jane white flush mount, I told her I didn't like that and was looking for something prettier. She told me I wouldn't find much else but showed me where to look on a wall of more plain Jane flush mounts. Finally I told her I would just look myself. I found a beautiful one I liked in a different area of the lights section, however instead of approaching her again because I didn't want to have her rudely speak to me again I decided to leave, I Will spend my money elsewhere. Please train your sales representatives to be more approachable and help their customers with their purchase needs.

Great store. They've blended the prices and selection of the big box building centers with the friendliness and service of a small town hardware store.

Even though I didnt find what I was looking for, the help I got was great and the attended did everything she can think of to help me, very good service.

They were very helpful and answered all my questions with patience. They gave me good advice on the project I am working on and had first hand knowledge of the products they were selling me. Thank you!

Great place to get all tool makes including Milwaukee, and any building materials u can imagine or need for a diy or contactor, very helpful and friendly staff. Fair pricing as well
