Food quality is well above par, and sent out in a timely manner, even during busy services. Food is reasonably priced.

Servers are very friendly and promptly greet customers when walking into the restaurant.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with authentic British style artwork on the walls. New additions include the Foosball table, and mini soccer in the room where the VLTs used to be. (very grateful those machines are gone as it helps keep out unwanted characters that lurk downtown)

Elephant and Castle is perfectly located in the downtown core area, close to the Canada Life Centre, True North Square, Convention centre, and major hotels which makes it a great spot for a bite to eat or a simple little coffee sit down for both locals and tourists!

This place is incredible and has treated their guests with the best service.the menu is top notch for pub food and snacks. I recommend the bangers and mash.mashed potatoes and homemade sausages swimming in gravy is a beautiful thing with a properly poured Kilkenny.thank you to the staff.

I heard that Honey Dill sauce is unique to Manitoba so I had to try it out.
I just came in for an after work conference glass of wine. JUST made it in time to order a happy hour glass of wine. Happy hour is until 6: 00 pm unlike BC. Thank you Braydon for the quick pleasant service. Back to the honey dill sauce.it was sweet, tasty with just the right creaminess. Definitely a great pairing with salty fries (peal on) or chicken strips! Thank you Braydon for providing me with a unique Manitoba experience!

It took about 10 minutes to receive any greeting & the menu. The food arrived fairly quickly, which, to my surprise, was undercooked and soggy. It also was insanely covered in pepper to the point that it was not enjoyable. Overall, it was a cute place to eat, just wishing it was executed better.

We had a 20+ person group from CARFAC drop in without notice and they accommodated us. The food was excellent - I personally recommend their dill pickle chips, and they're Caesars were perfectly spicy and the best I've had in Winnipeg. The service was great considering their minimal staff and our large group BUT when the bill came I was shocked with how affordable this delicious meal was. Thank you!

Went here for dinner once while I was staying at the Delta and it was not bad. I feel like my expectations for the food was higher based on the pictures. The pie flight I ordered was good, but not really spectacular. We also ordered a side of the meatballs wrapped in puff pastry and they were a bit on the bland side for my taste. It looked like it was missing parsley or some sort of garnish based on one other picture I saw. I do like the underground, British decor and the service was pretty average. Convenient place to get food if you're staying at the hotel though.

It's not just the proximity to home that keeps me coming back, the food and service are excellent.

If there is a sports game on be ware that it may be very busy.

Reuben and mashed potatoes. So, so good. They were busy, but the service was great and staff considerate. The serving size was good and the quality high.

This was the first restaurant I ate at when I visited Winnipeg. I stayed at the Delta Hotel Marriott and I liked the convenience that it was right next door to the hotel.

The vibe of the pub was a British underground space and pretty spacious at the time I went, which was late dinner.

A little slow and not busy at all. I went late evening so there weren't many servers around that time.

The Sunday Roast - Turned out to be a huge meal for one. It came with a puff pastry on top, mash, long beans and cooked carrots, and some thin slices of roast beef. It wasn't bad for the price point!

Mini-Sausage Rolls - This one was probably my favorite. It seemed to have missed it's garnish in another review I saw, but other than that, it was the sauce which made it tasty. It came with a chutney like sweet sauce to dip the rolls in. It had a decent portion to share between 2-3 people.

The Wee Pie Flight - This was small enough to taste test each of the savory pies, but I didn't find anything too special with them.

Overall, food was not bad for a late night snack or meal! I would go again just for the sausage rolls. I found them addicting.

Oh My Gosh! This place is so awesome! The food was out of this world! Truly a slice of England landed in Manitoba! The Most Delicious meal ever! The service was brilliant!

Good pub and traditional fare. Could stand not having to step over the chap in the vestibule.

I don't know why they took off the fish burger from their manu. The pie dish was a bit of a joke. It's an appetizer at its best, and it definitely should not be categorized as a meal.

We have gone twice in recent history and the food and atmosphere are really on par. Good to see the E & C holding its own so many years in Winnipeg. Highly recommend.

Lovely laid back atmosphere, grate music and with excellent friendly staff. Definitely a place to try and will be going back soon.
