Emerald Palace 富瑤酒家

This is one of the places that I will never forget from Winnipeg. I liked almost all of their menu but my best picks are - butter chicken, beef hotpot and fried pickerel (seasonal)

Been going to this place for a decade with my family but with the new management and team, food has never been the same. The butter chicken was pact of flavours before but it's all bland now. No buttery-oniony taste. The special fried rice just tasted ashy and burnt. Food has become bland with no flavour at all. Hopefully they find their flavour again with the new owners as previous owners retired.

Very inhospitable and have their hours of operation wrong. Reached 2 hours before closing and they just said not open. We could see many tables empty and people dining, but seemed like a personal internal issue going on between them. The hostess was rude as well. Never going to this place again.

Never ever have I had a poor experience with the food. Been coming here for decades! Although the prices have gone up the quality has always stayed consistent! Will be coming back for years to come.
