Was very excited to try but was left feeling unfulfilled. Went at 5pm and was surprised to see it empty for most of our visit. Some dishes were good some were just strange in my opinion

Everything was going great until…
Let me provide you with more context - For weeks we had been researching the top rated restaurants in Winnipeg and we came across Enoteca. From the get-go we had set our mind in specific menu items that caught our eye - From starters like the toast iterations to the seafood and specifically to the fried chicken and the beef tartare. For us, the high notes were the chicken liver mousse toast, duck terrine toast and the tuna on the poached pears. Simple, packed a punch and freshness to it. However, later we got served the biggest disappointments - Fried Chicken and Beef Tartare. After “eating” these two dishes we agreed to have our heart checked after the copious amount of salt and grease smothered on these two items - and nothing fresh to break off the richness that became less enjoyable with every bite. Out of the two, the beef tartare was the worst offender - Simple, just check the ingredients: A bed of Pho aioli (!) + cured meat (!) + XO sauce (!). After trying to push it down with water, we gave up by toast No. 3 and left it on the table. After expressing sharing with our server how salty the dish was, they offered a…15% discount on THAT specific item. See image below.

Went to the restaurant today for the first time to celebrate my birthday. It's a small restaurant that has around 12-14 small tables. Our server was above and beyond, she explained to us the components of our dishes; food will be placed on the table one by one. We're really happy and impressed with our food. Dishes are often in small size and to share between 2 people. The price was worth it for the flavour. (except the fried chicken was kinda mid). Definitely we will be back again!

We had a great time at Enoteca. Food was awesome & service was impeccable. The reason why I only gave 4 stars on the service is they don’t accept Amex even though Amex has them on their Dining credit list.

Even though the dining area is small, we still felt we had a sense of privacy. The staff were awesome, and the food was amazing. This is now a favorite spot for us.

Amazing dinner tonight. Great service and a great atmosphere. So much flavour. We had a mix of dishes. Gnocchi, fried chicken amazingggg, beef tar tar paired with some nice wines. Really great would recommend to anyone visiting for a great tapas dining experience.

Each dish was created to be special by the chef. I thought the steak tartare was wonderful, a little different that I’m used to but very very good. Yes we’ll be back.

I am a chef from out of town and I make sure I dine here everytime I'm in Winnipeg. The executive/owner is an absolute genius with food, his dishes inspire me immensely. If you respect food and enjoy trying new flavors and textures this is your place. 11/10

The appetizers and main courses flavors were very accurate and exquisite. We loved the wine which we chose from bigger than expected variety, fit perfectly with the food. The desserts were fine but we did not like the texture of the crème brûlée, which was a bit runny in my opinion but the flavors were amazing. The cheese cake was a no for us because of the flavors that didn’t connect well in our opinion, but again only our opinion, the goat cheese flavor was too strong and did not blend well. The staff was great especially the waitress Alana, which was very nice and pleasant.
The room was a little smoky (from frying) and could use a window or fresh air we were not able to ignore that the whole meal.
Our evening was great and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

A cozy and simple designed restaurant with a curated chef menu. The options are few but it should satisfy most pallets.

The plates are meant to be share so for a party of two we were recommended to get 4 dishes. Reservation at this place is pretty much a must for dinner as the place only hosts a handful of tables.

The food was pretty great but you must be open to enjoying more interesting flavors.

Ive been here before, i order food to go mostly. This one time the server forgot to pack one of the dishes i ordered and i didnt realize it was missing until i got home. So i called them to ask and they confirmed it happened by accident. I believe it was the owner who came and dropped it off at my house with complimentary beers. No one does this in todays world. Their service is top notch! And their food is chef's kiss.

I had the most amazing meal here! I sampled one dish from each "section" and loved all of them. The portion sizes were perfect and every bite was packed with flavour. The service was wonderful as well! The food is fairly priced for the quality. All around a fantastic experience and would recommend to anyone.

This establishment is not quite as bad as the three stars I’ve given might lead you to believe. The food is delicious, portion sizes are excellent when split between two people (the dishes are made to share), and the creative combination of flavours are admirable. However, all this was marred by the fact that the air conditioning was kept at such a high level that the food was cold virtually as soon as it reached our table, or soon thereafter. The layer of excellent truffle cream sauce that accompanied the asparagus quickly lost its allure. The gravy plated with the beef tenderloin was cold at the first bite. The gnocchi, thankfully, kept their heat a bit longer in the face of the onslaught of cold air. Apart from the AC, the ambiance of the establishment suffers from its middling surroundings—in a strip mall that features a convenience store, across from a Domino’s Pizza—and the interior decoration fails to compensate for this. If a patio option existed, and could be suitably kept back from the road, the experience might be salvageable. As it is, though, it was about as underwhelming as a 200$ meal can get.

Like Maque and Passero, the dishes here are exceptional! Every dish we ordered had the perfect balance of flavours and textures! Can't wait to go back!

Enoteca has been our go-to for special occasion dinners for years. It's been a while since our last visit so I was looking forward to celebrating our anniversary there tonight. It did not disappoint! The food was perfectly presented and we thoroughly enjoyed our favorites (gnocchi and fried chicken) as well as some of the newer items on the menu. The staff was attentive and pleasant. This restaurant will continue to be one of our top picks.

I had a great experience at Enoteca. The food was fantastic, and the service was welcoming and knowledgeable. A quiet and intimate place to eat for a date night.
