Fergies Fish 'n Chips

A great winnipeg classic. Their fish and chips are amazing. I have had both the cod and pickerel and they are both amazing!

Soooo delicious was the cod fish and chips! Perfectly seasoned. Prepared to beyond expectations! Seriously good! Tartar sauce is made in house. Condiments are help yourself on left side of counter. Order at right side.

My favourite place to eat! The food is made to order so it’s super fresh. It’s always hot and tasty. The price is reasonable and affordable. The staff are nice and friendly. Support this restaurant everyone! Best place for fish and chips!

Terrible customer service, Ordered a regular pickerel dish, they gave me halibut instead of pickerel which is more expensive but im not mistaken they gave me halibut instead of my original order of pickerel, made time to come back with the receipt and they told me No they would not replace my order with what i had actually ordered and that if thats all that i could leave, do not support fergies fish and chips, as this is exactly what to expect when it comes down to customer service, i would rate it 0 stars if i could.

Ordered a regular pickerel meal (2 piece with regular fries) and a double pickerel meal (2 pieces with LG fried and chowder). In comparison to the first few times I had been the portion sizes have been reduced. It's still a decent size but definitely not the wow factor compared to the portions from years ago. The first piece I ate was the pickerel but when I had a few bites of the second piece the taste was noticeably different and my partner said that it didn't look like pickerel, it looked like cod. I went to let them know that I got 1 piece of pickerel and 1 piece of cod and the girl I spoke to first looked like she had no idea what to do or say so another man was directed my way but seemed busy and said 'thats how pickerel flakes' and when I clarified that they did not taste the same he was very dismissive and didn't even spend two seconds to keep eye contact with me while saying sorry about that and just moving onto whatever he was doing. The food is usually very good but less so when there's a mistake and the follow-up interaction is rude.

They don't even deserve 1 star coustomer service very bed they talk with you little kids with F word food was very gross and very rotten smell they don't sell fresh food

Warning don't go their our whole family is sick after eating their food

"one piece of fish" is more like half a piece with a ton of soggy fries. This is garbage for the price.

Fergies fish n chips is a think one of my favorite so far in this city and actually tops the list of all I have had so far in life!

Hadn't been here for a couple of years because the fish was so greasy. Figured I would try it again as I love fish. This time I ordered the pickerel, and it was awesome! It was fresh, white and flakey. Fries were great too, not greasy either! Service was really slow, but I still look forward to going back again.

Delicious pickerel served in a paper cone with crisp fries, lemon wedge and tartar sauce. Clean kitchen. Provided a plate when I asked for one.

Not good when trying to go there, thinking the mall will stay open to allow folks to go and order at Fergies, but the mall closes at 7pm!

Fergie's is a real treat. The food is incredible, the fish is hot and the batter is Crip. The fries are amazing.

Coming from a UK seaside town I was excited to find somewhere that did fish and chips and with curry sauce but how disappointed was I.
The chips were more like fries, chips are thicker but not at all like wedges so that was my first disappointment and then the second came with the curry sauce/gravy.it should be thicker so it sticks to the chip, it was so runny that it couldn't be used for the purpose of dipping the fries in (can't call the chips as they were too thin) and lacked that curry flavour it came across as coloured water.
The batter on the fish was soggy too.
The only positive that came from my meal was that the cod was nice and meaty.

It was even more delicious than always! My family enjoyed it greatly. Thank you for the awesome food!
