Took my vehicle to frank motors for a starting issue, I was told they fixed the issue with a new starter but the problem wasn't fixed. My regular shop found a corroded connection and that was it. I was charged almost a grand and told they fixed my issue and it was a $50 fix. Incredibly poor customer service when I brought up the issue. Extremely disappointed as I thought I found a reliable shop.

Just had a Krown rust control treatment done for my 2004 BMW 325CI. From start to finish, Frank Motors service was professional, punctual, courteous and friendly. I will definitely be back for all my import automotive needs. Thank you so much Frank Motors!

Had an altercation with a 'blind' curb Thurs, 22 Jul 21. Drove right to the shop unannounced and Kyle got me in immediately. My car was put on the lift and Kyle informed me that the damage was superficial, to my great relief. Kyle then allowed me to take a look under my car, where Milan himself (the owner) had been doing an inspection. No charge for the service which was above and beyond! Thank you Kyle and Milan!

Called Frank Motors 26 Jul 21 to request an inspection prior to a road trip to Edmonton. Kyle informed me I could bring the car in straight away, but oddly enough, she was turning over, but wouldn't start (I was 98% certain it was the fuel pump). Kyle gave me the green light to have my car towed in and they'd take care of it. Kyle got back to me with a diagnosis (indeed the fuel pump), a quote and estimated time of completion in no time flat. At my request, a pre-trip inspection was also conducted which revealed a few more essential items that needed to be repaired prior to departure. My car was ready ahead of schedule, a courtesy car picked me up, my car was washed and the fuel tank filled at no charge. Kyle gave me a thorough debrief on all aspects of the repair work as well as items of minor concern that might be addressed in the future. To my delight, Kyle even had the inner trim around my driver and passenger windows re-glued back in place (an extra request I had made via telephone) at min cost. Once again, thank you Kyle for your outstanding Gold Star service and Milan for running a top-notch, exceptional import automotive shop! I'll definitely entrust my beautiful 2004 BMW 325CI to Frank Motors for all her future needs!

Great communication. High effective process. Manager Kyle is friendly and Engineer Wang is helpful enough. Based on our car's issues, Klye asked Wang to explan by Chinese. Everything is clear including the price and how we could do the next steps. I am glad to be regular here.

I just received my BMW X5 that I initially left it with them for over a week for diagnosis with a check engine light. They couldnt tell what the problem exactly is. Kyle, the service manager tried to explain that it could be due to multiple things that they are not sure if they go through will fix the problem. I was charged for $355 plus I found a cable that it was loose and when they checked again they couldn't locate it and it wasnt like that before I brought the car in
In general I dont recomment that place for German cars. Not like I was expecting.

We had a great experience here! We brought our 92 Eurovan for tune ups and Kyle and his team were knowledgeable, patient and kind. We will be bringing our van here again.

Got my car brought in for a/c service as I called and told them my problem about a/c not cold. They did the service and found some seals off my a/c lines are worn and letting the a/c charge escape. They replaced it and fixed the problem save me so much money and staff were very friendly and informative! Will definitely go back if I need any car need!

I’ve dealt with Frank Motors 3 times for service on my older BMW. They are always polite and professional and have resolved some long term issues for me where past mechanics have failed. They communicate and work quick. They have my business.

Have a Volvo that requires a Gen 2 tool for wheel bearings. Called they said they can do the wheel bearing replacement. Charged me 114$ to replace a wheel bearing on a loose spindle. No doubt they simply pressed the bearing in after specifically telling them not to and it would need the Gen 2 tool, bearing last two months. Will not be using this place for anything in the future.

Absolutely the best place to bring your BMW for repairs. Kyle was excellent explaining the logic required to fix the problems. No extra work or parts replaced, much better honest service than at a dealer.

We needed tires and Frank was the only place who had them in stock. On the next day, and at a much better price.

I noticed issues with my brakes, noise, uneven response when breaks were applied. Went to Audi dealership and they said it was ok, but said my wheel alignment was off by a few mm and got charged for that. I could have spent that money fixing the brakes. Later that week, the brakes became worst but when I brought to Frank Motors, they quickly assessed rear brake pads were worn down to the metal, and luckily the calipers were not damaged. Professional, competent, quick and honest dealership for foreign cars.

Very good service. Made appointment for rust proofing. They took my car right on time and completed work promptly. Only complaint it there is very little parking in the area.

I stopped in to ask a couple questions, the guy was friendly enough. His suggestion saved me a boat load of cash. In fact the part another Audi dealership wanted me to order was $306. My brother fixed the issue in less than 10 minutes and for free. Thanks Frank Motors for the suggestion.

Historically I've worked on my own vehicles but with age it seems that the list of things that I have the time/willingness/ability to do is getting shorter. I've never had a mechanic and choosing a mechanic that I could trust to care for my vehicle the same way I do was difficult.

I chose Frank's for the following reasons:

#1, they specialize in European vehicles. I don't own a European vehicle but I do have enough experience with them to know that they require a particular level of care and attention to detail. Maybe my vehicle doesn't require the same level of care but as somebody who works on and cares for his own vehicle this is really important to me.

#2, They don't talk down to me like they do at other places. As somebody with relative mechanical knowledge, having vehicle service explained to me like I was 5, by somebody with less mechanical knowledge than me, is not something that I particularly enjoy. The people at Frank's have always been very pleasant to deal with and seem very knowledgeable.

#3, Having brought my vehicle there since 2013 for rustproofing, and only recently for mechanical service, I've dealt with several of the employees, and it's clear that the employees truly enjoy working there and care about what they do.

#4, Just read through the reviews. The owner has replied to nearly every one of them (good or bad). This should speak volumes to where customer experience is on their list of priorities.

In closing, when it comes to stuff like this, I tend to be way more scrutinizing that I really need to be. As a result, my expectations might be a lot higher than they need to be. With that said, Frank's has exceeded my expectations for everything they've done for me, thus far. I've been happy with their service and I'll be happy to bring my vehicle back there again and again.

I would like to share my experience with Frank Motors from the perspective as an employee as well.
I was working at Frank Motors as a technician during my stay in Winnipeg on a working holiday visa.

The shop has a great team of technicians, who are very knowledgeable, experienced and who are motivated to provide perfect quality work. All the needed tools for diagnosing the newest cars of different brands are at hand, as well as everything that's needed, to repair older vehicles.
The work is coordinated very well. Problems get diagnosed very efficient and it's only being repaired what's necessary, to keep customers cars on the road and also to keep them well maintained, to make them last.

The communication within the team was very good. It was always easy to communicate with the staff at the front desk, as well as with my bosses and the technicians. Also I was very pleasantly surprised how easy it was to integrate into the team and how welcoming everyone was.
I definitely felt treated very well.

All in all I'm grateful for the time I spent at Frank Motors and I definitely recommend this shop to anyone who searches good customer service and quality work!

Had the winter tires on my car switched out for my summer ones. Was very reasonably priced, and did a great job! (They even switched out the center caps without my having asked them to do so). Interacted through email prior to making an appointment, interaction was friendly, prompt and professional. Would visit again for maintenance on my Touareg!

Very good service, they quickly knew what the problem was and addressed it quickly, didn’t try to up sell but recommend what needed to be done. Also did a really good job with the car wash, will be back for future service

Don’t go to this shop. They refused to give me discount offer or match any price for Krown Rust control. They charge me full amount but other shops usually give you $10 to $15 discount. Go to Bob transmission on Pembina. They do the same work for less price. They are suckers. Don’t care about customer service.

First experience was ok. Second not so much. I’m taking my business elsewhere, there’s lots of shops in this city guys.

Very bad experience. Don’t recommend. There is one old guy very rule to people. Also charge extra fee and not even able to repair the vehicle. He is so mean to customer.

I have always had a positive experience at Frank Motors. I've brought my Fiat in quite a few times (you know, as you have to do when you own a Fiat.) and they've always been up front and honest about the work that needs to get done and the stuff that I can put off when I have a little more time to save up for it (you know, as you have to do when you own a Fiat). No pressure to get unnecessary work done. The staff (I usually speak to Kyle) have always been kind and explain pretty clearly what's going on with the vehicle, in terms that someone who can't possibly be bothered to retain any sort of technical car information can understand, and without patronizing me. A few months ago I made the mistake of bringing it to [redacted] instead of Frank's out of convenience at the time and I can't believe what a stark difference the interactions are. I highly recommend Frank Motors if you have a Fiat and don't want to be made fun of for having a Fiat when you bring it in to a shop and then have to throw all your money at them.

Did the krown rust proofing at Frank Motors. They are very professional and experts. It was my first time rust proofing my car and they explained me everything in detail and how it works. Highly recommended for any auto service.

Great service every time! I’ve had my 1990 VW cabrio serviced a few times here and the staff is very knowledgeable and will communicate with you during the entire process. The staff is very friendly and professional on the phone and in person. Very satisfied with the service received here, and I will be trusting them with my vehicle every time in the future!
