Frankie's Italian Winnipeg

Had a wonderful company dinner in the back room. We had a pre-ordered menu for our group of almost 40, and everything came out flawlessly. Service was great, and making the reservation and putting the order in was easy and detailed.

Enjoy coming here. Food is pretty good, and the service is always excellent. It's tough not comparing to Olive Garden, but I feel the menu isn't as expansive here and the food is not quite as flavorful, its really good, but it falls short of really good.

The food was really awesome, it was busy and we got our food fast. The portions were perfect, I thought. Left enough room for some delicious dessert.

We had the private room which was excellent! Food is not cheap but good. Had the onion/beef soup

Experience was underwhelming. Staff seemed eager to have us leave promptly after we settled the bill. There was a notable discrepancy in pricing. We were charged full price for items listed under the 'happy hour' menu. Our seating arrangement was compromised. Shortly after being seated, our server attempted to relocate our group. The overall experience was marred by a series of service missteps. Probably won’t be back.

I had dinner here this evening and the food was good as usual. My son really liked the linguini alfredo and I enjoyed the arancini as well as the mushroom ravioli. I've been here many years since the restaurants opening in the dining room, lounge and patio and have been served by many different servers. Shawn served us tonight and he was exceptional from the kind greeting at the beginning to end. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

My friends took my out for my birthday here and it was AMAZING. Loved the food, our server was wonderful. Just wish they had oat milk for coffee.

I had the Arancini and the Amato pizza. It was delivery via Skip. The Arancini were really very good, although a little on the salty side. Mind you, I don’t eat a lot of salt so it could be I’m sensitive to it. I think the Amato pizza would have been better if we had been dining in. The crust was amazing, but the toppings had cooled and the arugula wilted. It was very tasty, but I think it would have been better fresh from the oven. So my issues have nothing to do with the prep, and more to do with having it delivered. I think this is a restaurant I will visit, but probably not get delivery again.

Bad experience, I will not return, my waitress was busy talking to others for a long time, and she did not care about me at all, I wanted to order food and she asked me do I want the bill!

Sometimes they will forget to bring your order please remind them time by time their kitchen is too slow. But they relise that thing and gave us off $$

Lovely patio set up with happy hour options. Had the spaghetti and meat balls with a side Caesar salad. Meal was very filling and tasty. Server was attentive and friendly, would highly recommend.

Walmart fries, few small pieces of rubbery calamari, below average pizza.

Never thought I would ever taste wet diaper pizza in a place like this. But hey, this is the go-to for that. Luckily for them my phone camera can make trash look good

The only good thing about this place is the beef dip and beef carpaccio, absolutely amazing, love the flame grilled taste of the sandwhich and the beef carpaccio is as good as it gets, no complimentary foccia with it is disappointing.

Everything was fine and the people there are nice. However, it's a bit pricey for its services.

We attended Frankie's with friends for the first time Friday, May05/23. We had heard good things which for the most part is true. The server was very friendly and pleasant and the food is tasty. But if we're looking to make room for improvement.the food took over an hour to arrive from the time we ordered. Bread was tasty but seemed to be scarce? I can't speak for the others at the table but the portion size for myself and my husband wasn't sufficient. Prices seem to be in check for the current food industry but having said that, the portion size should be comparable. Anyway, just food for thought. We won't be rushing to go back.

Although food was generally good and staff were pleasant, there were many concerns overall. First, the service was slow and we waited a long time for recognition once seated at the table and then to receive what was ordered. Also, there was constant errors: salads were ordered with dressing on the side but did not come that way, large soup was missed, there was no offer of subsequent drink orders after the first, tea order came with virtually no hot water, regular coffee ordered but received decaf, dessert order was wrong-ordered cheesecake and got tirammusu, did not correct this as at this point we had given up.

Service was overall slow. The number of mistakes made the experience comical.

Not sure if I will ever go back.

Food was delicious and interesting. Portions are a little small. The service from all the staff was fantastic and friendly.

Pizza crust was really crunchy. Almost difficult to eat. Something wrong with that for sure.

Service was normal. Similar to what one would expect at Boston Pizza or Earls. Nothing spectacular.

Great atmosphere. Staff are friendly, even if less than well trained.

Kyle was my waiter and he was fantastic. Price is on the higher side. I didnt enjoy the food that much as I have no preference for pasta and this didn't change my mind but my girlfriend loved it.

Incredible Italian Restaurant! Manager Alexander was magnificent in arranging every possible detail for a family dinner for 20 in the private dining room. The authentic food, impeccable service and soothing ambiance truly made this a memorable evening for all. Thanks so much!

Restaurant was very nice, clean. Our server was excellent, everything was great, other than we found our food salty. I had the gnocchi and my wife had the chicken club. I would go back again.

Great atmosphere.it was packed when we were there so was a little noisy. Menu is really varied and altho the people at our table who ordered the beet salad werent impressed, my pizza was so fresh and tasty and my husband said the steak was delish. Would definitely go back because I was watching some of the plates coming out and I know there's a whole lot more to try.

All I can say is WOW! This is my second time here so I thought I’d save the review for round two. The food, staff and service has been amazing! I highly recommend the calamari and the Steak & Beet salad. They also have an amazing wine selection …. Pro tip = half price bottles on Wednesday.

The food was delicious! The shrimp taglietelli garlic creaminess with sweet shrimp. Great service! Loved our recommendations!

My sister and I were in the city last week and stopped in. The service was quick and pleasant. The bread served was a nice touch as it seemed to be handmade. I had the mushroom ravioli and she has a seafood pasta. Mine was UNBELIEVABLY tasty and savory. She said hers was also very good. We would definitely return.

The atmosphere and the service were great. The food was a disappointment. We had a Caesar Salad and a Pizza /extra sauce and Chicken Linguine. The Caesar Salad wasn’t as good as the last one we had and the pizza had no sauce and very little topping. Not much flavour in anything. The prices seem high for what you get. We won’t be back.

I have ordered here several times and its always great. They have an amazing plant based selection (the burger is so good even carnivores like it!), pizza is fantastic, the kids cheese pizza is huge. I am getting hungry now. Just go there. It is amazing.

A bit higher priced but excellent food and service! The patio was awesome. Definitely worth it for a special treat.

Delicious food, great friendly staff and quick service. Had the artichoke snd spinach dip, it was really good. Bread came with the meal. Dipped it in oil and balsamic vinegar. Had a mushroom stuffed ravioli. Very tasty. Happy hour is from 3 to 6 PM and 9 PM to close. Quite a few selections for some bites to eat and drinks on the happy hour menu.

Amazing food and staff that makenyou feel that they are company and not employees.

Amazingly delicious food. Service was great and staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend the Polenta Fries. I know I'll be back to try more on the menu (it was so hard to pick just one dish)! Also very good with gluten free/celiac.

Great place with delicious Italian food!
Food: menu is not too big but has everything from pasta and lasagna to beef stakes and seafood. Don't forget about delicious salads. We tried four different meals - all were delicious. Meals come in mid size portions.
Beer & Wine: acceptable variety of tap beer and nice range of Italian wine.
Service: waitress was nice, knowledgeable, she took our order on time, waiting time for a meals was acceptable (kids meal came super fast), all meals came hot. Beverages came right the way.waitress came couple times to check, but wasn't annoying.
Cleanness: Place is clean. Tables are clean and not sticky, chairs are comfortable and clean. Plates, cutlery, glasses all clean. Washroom is clean and no bad smell.
Design: authentic design a lot of room, kitchen has an open wall so you can see the level of cleanness in the kitchen.
Excellent family restaurant! Definitely will be back!

Staff is very friendly and pleasent. Server was great. Food quality was good overall. Portions are on the small side. We had a pizza, gnocchi, pasta alfredo and calamari. The bread served with olive oil and balsamic is excellent. Great local beer selection.

Celebrated a birthday at Frankies tonight. Table of six with Ainsley serving. Food was fantastic…second only to the service. Allergy to an ingredient was resolved with lightening speed and ease. “No problem, our pleasure. ”

We ordered Chicken Linguini and Nonna Maria's Lasagna, both of which were marked as Frankie's signature dishes in the menu. Chicken Linguini was OK (not great) but the Lasagna was like a frozen meal prepared. Very average quality and taste. Nothing you can call a fine cuisine dish. Also the red wine was too warm. I don't recommend this place if you are looking for something above average.

Server was excellent and the reason for the 4 stars - very friendly and prompt and made great recommendations for our first time. The meals were just ok - we had the Alfredo tagliatelle, the shrimp scampi tagliatelle and the spaghetti carbonara with chicken, but found that the sauce was a bit too creamy and they didn’t have much flavour. The tiramisu and the affogato were delicious.

Been @ Frankie's three times, on the patio. Our family of three has tried the pizza and pasta. Enjoyed all three visits. Staff is friendly and hospitable and the food is delicious.

We enjoyed some appetizers and drinks on the patio. Beautiful decor, great service, and the food was really nice.

Opted for a salad after a particularly carby travel day. It did not disappoint plus our waitress slipped us some delicious focaccia with oil and vinegar. Delicious in every way. We even ordered takeout the next day. Will return to try more pastas.

We have already been there twice. Everything is very fine: service is friendly, food is fresh and of a good quality.

Once again a very pleasant gathering for a party of 4! The food very well presented, and tasted awesome! The lobster tail meat was a bit chewy, but otherwise good! I recommend the calamari, seafood pasta, and the mix cheese and meat type of a small dish! DIFFENTLY coming back again!

Amazing food! Authentic Italian food experience in Winnipeg! Beautiful ambiance! Very cozy! Great service! Our server is the simply the best! If you wish to celebrate special occasions, this place is the right one for you! We came to celebrate our anniversary and they didn’t disappoint! We will surely come back!

Ordered takeout from here (the shrimp scampi) and the pasta arrived in one big stuck-together clump. ️

Something different from the usual. Restaurant's was nice. I wished we were seated by the dining area instead of the bar area. It was a little dark for us. I wished we're seated somewhere bright so I can appreciate more the food presentation. Appetizers we ordered was the calamari fritti and pei mussels. It was a little disappointing. The serving was small unlike other restaurants, the calamari was a little overcooked some piece were rubbery. The mussels was okay but it got some pieces that still have sands. The rosemary bread was good, the bread was soft and tasty. What we liked was the entrees. Everything was tasty. We ordered the cheddar bacon burger, spaghetti carbonara, alfredo tagliattelle and the risotto primavera. The burger was okay. The carbonara was creamy, you can really taste the panchetta. The risotto was good as well and the alfredo was everyone's favorite out of all the dishes we ordered. I liked that it was real prawns added on it. The service was a little slow. Parking was available as well. Prices was not bad as well.

So good! Had the chicken linguini, lasagna and an appetizer (first one on menu can't remember what it was called) and all three were amazing, very flavourful, good portion size and hot! Would recommend to family and friends and will be back
