Amazing doesn't do it justice. For 22 dollars you get enough food to feed 2 people, all of it made fresh and extremely delicious. It's like eating home cooking except you're really in a restaurant.

German Society of Winnipeg/Schnitzel Haus

We weren't planning on visiting the Schnitzel Haus but rather the downstairs restaurant for Taco Week.

The parking is in the back of the building and there was ample room to park when we went 7pm on a Friday night.

Once you enter in the back of the building there is a staircase. You go up the staircase and the restaurant is on the left, the washrooms are on the right.

They have a good selection of beer and a decent menu.
The staff was friendly and attentive.

We had the Chicken Schnitzel which came with red cabbage and spatzle. We also had the Bratwurst which also had the cabbage and spatzle. We also tried the hand cut veggies with butter and caraway seeds.

The Schnitzel was cooked perfect and was juicy and tender. The Jäger sauce had a delicious mushroom and bacon flavour. The Bratwurst tasted great, both tender and juicy.

Overall it's a great place with tons of character.

Nice evening out in Winnipeg. Great menu - reminds me of all the good foods we had at Oktoberfest in München a few years ago. Bratwurst was perfectly done on a bed of sauerkraut. The spatzle was very good - interesting flavours. We shared a plate of handcut veggies with butter and caraway seeds on top - was very nice. We also had the chicken schnitzel- very nice with the bacon and mushroom sauce.

The radler with raspberry flavouring was excellent - would totally recommend this.

Nice decor and ambiance in this restaurant - its upstairs in the German society of Winnipeg - entrance is at the back of the building.

I’ve gone there over the years, excellent food, entertainment and very friendly staff.sadly they don’t put together dances and supper like years ago. I miss Reisy’s events.good old days!

Always go here for Germany games during World Cup and Euro Cup. Awesome crowd and delicious beer. Try the Schnitzel!

This place hasn’t changed since I was a kid! It may be dated, but for myself it was very nostalgic. Everyone is always friendly and the food is always delicious!

The place is huge! If you’re looking for a wedding venue, this might be the place for you!

Fantastic food including schnitzel, spaetzle, bratwurst, red cabbage and assorted tortes. Very welcoming, friendly staff and the entertainment at Folklorama 50 was fun, including traditional and contemporary music by the band and dancers.

If you been here a few times, extremely rude, rude members. Only the Frau that runs the restaurant is nice. We can make and eat our own Schnitzels in a much better place called home. The older people at the front table disrespectful and they should realize that others can hear their conversations. Especially the big old guy, loud and rude.
Food was ok at best, the atmosphere was bad. Not coming back. 3 times was enough.

Finally after last 4 years camp chair is gone. Place went downhill the atmosphere. Never going to be a member again. Time for new respectful camp director who is not a @/%^&* probably could not survive a new pres. The regime can just go away. As for the little pub, was a fun little place. I would come back to eat and drink just do not want to see those certain people again.

My girlfriend and I decided to dine here weeks back for the Friday night buffet From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the most sweetest lady with a beautiful smile, she sat us at a table for 2 and got started with a beverage Even waiting in line for the food was enjoyable as we chatted with others whom were members. The food O My was absolutely "" Fantastic "" Best Schnitzel ever. Hunter sauce was yummy as well as the mushroom gravy Everything we ate made us happy. So we can't wait for Thursday the menu will be different and I know it's going to be great. Wonderful experience.

I went to the Friday buffet.
The spinach salad was good.
The buns were ok.

The schnitzel was soggy and bland.
The mushroom gravy was thick like jello.
The vegetables were frozen mixed veggies and super overcooked.
The rice and vegetable soup was soggy.

I won't eat here again.
