ginza sushi

Ordered lots of sushi 4 Christmas lunch 4 friend & I. Tempura vegie mix was terrible, oily & all we got was onion rings & yams, no brocolli, mushrooms etc like last time I had it. Sushi was messy with pcs missing rice & sushi pizza was big mush with hard rice. So sad 4 Wed Dec 20th 4 us.

We went inside to order takeout and they have a stack of takeout menus. We take a menu, pick our order, and when they total the order is more than $18 above the takeout menu prices.
I said why are these menus sitting here if the prices aren't right and the response was "I have no idea. " Left without food since they couldn't honor their own menu prices.
Won't be back!

As a response to their reply to my review: They didn't offer me any discounts or to honor the prices in the menus when I was standing in the restaurant.
They literally have a sign with an arrow pointing to these menus - nowhere does it say "pricing is subject to change" or "prices have increased" or anything like this. They wait until you are ready to pay and hope you don't realize the pricing discrepency.

Poor business in my opinion. Dishonest to customers. Throw the menus in the recycling bin if they aren't accurate!

Used to be very good place in terms of quality/price. Last two orders we had from there something has changed for worse.

Very disappointed - it was great that they offer online ordering, but they failed to read the order where I indicated no egg…. Allergic: (because the mayo was within the roll, I couldn’t see it and was very sick for the next couple of days. Be sure to triple check!

I have no issues with the store, I loved their food, and certainly would like to dine in one day. However, I did have a order processed on a day they weren't operating, which was my mistake I just want to bring awareness to the ueats. Kinds dodgy as of right now, no order confirmation or receipt. Plus the app doesn't want to work for me.

Definitely a must try in Winnipeg. The food is delicious and the service is great. Thank you very much for the present for my daughter!

We have ordered takeout a few times now and are always pleased with the quality and taste. This tme we ordered a tray of 18 rolls and some edamame beans. Again, an enjoyable dinner.

Horrible experience. Sushi was gross and tasted like it had been made a week ago. How this place has a 4 star average is beyond me, definitely DONT recommend.

I love the fact that they open earlier than most sushi restaurants. The staff is always super friendly and the rolls are always tasty. My favorite thing about their rolls is they don't over do it on the rice. Good variety, quality and price?

The take out has been quite good in the past. My wife and I went there Saturday to have lunch and found that there was still no in person dining. Restaurants in Winnipeg have had in person dining for half a year now. Time to catch up guys.

First of all, amazing service. Love this place. Great food at a great price. I always order their New Hampshire (at least 3 orders), chicken Katsu and calamari rolls. They always welcome me with smiles. Keep it up you wonderful people! Can't wait to dine in!

I try to visit Ginza every so often they have a huge menu with tons to choose from. Everything is always made perfectly. Prices are reasonable and even lunch wait times are realistic for handmade food as long as you are aware it does take some time. Keep up the amazing work!

Best Sushi in the north in my opinion.

First time to order and not that happy. No customer service, they’re too busy to acknowledge you. Staff making rolls no hair net. Then we had beef and chicken teriyaki or should I say Cabbage & onion teriyaki.yes full of cabbage and onion. 50 grams of meat and 100 grams of cabbage, and it’s too sweet. Sushi and calamari were okay. Tempura shrimp was full of breading. Spent over $70 but not worth it. Sorry.

Best sushi in North America! I've tried so many different places and nothing tops this place! I could eat their sushi every day for the rest of my life!

This place has changed! Not sure if it's ownership or the workers but it for sure isn't the same sushi. Ordered 2 rolls, the yam tempura in the rolls were overcooked and not very good. They didn't even look freshly cooked like it was from yesterday! There was so much topping on the 2nd roll that it made the roll very wet and gross plus it wasn't rolled very well. I understand the ends of the rolls will have larger pieces of veggie & meet but to have 1/4 of a cucumber whole sticking out of the end is just weird! It wasn't worth it at all to eat I had to throw it out as it wasn't very good! Waste of money! I had ordered take out a few months ago and noticed a change of quality then. And Quality is worse now then in fall.

Their ramen is delicious! I also ordered some of appetizers and they’re so good as well! I always wanna try something else, but every time I’m end up to have the ramen again, because I love the ramen too much

Love the sushi here. Tried it first time on new years eve. They were super busy but food was fantastic. Came back today. I have to say I love this place. Glad we have such lovely sushi spot on our north end neiborhood. Good job guys.

I've ordered twice from Ginza.
The first time, I ordered the "38. Poke Bowl". First off, the photos on the website are NOT photos of the food you're ordering. When I opened it up I was very confused because it honestly looked like I ordered beef chili. The entire bowl was DRENCHED in sriracha mayo. I love sriracha mayo, but this was excessive. There was probably about a 1/3 inch of mayo as the entire top layer of the bowl. The rest of the ingredients in the poke bowl were very sparse, and I have to say it's actually one of the worst things I've ever had from a restaurant in my life.

However, I wanted to give them a shot in regards to their sushi, as the reviews seemed good. I'm glad I did. The sushi was excellent, great ingredient ratios, everything was delicious. I will definitely order (the sushi) again, but that poke bowl was truly.something else.

We ordered takeout. The rolls were assembled nicely but the teriyaki chicken was mostly cabbage and rice with very little chicken. That was pretty disappointing.

I went yesterday for the first time. Their tempura mix veggies were delicious, and their roles. I am glad they don't have sitting. I will not support businesses that require a Vxx passport.

Great food. Only reason I gave it four starts and not five is that there is no washroom for dine in. Great sushi

Always come here whenever I have that sushi craving, and it doesn't disappoint. It's good for the price you spend. Nice quiet spot if you want a casual hangout with friends or a significant other.

Friendly staff and amazing sushi. I recommend trying the cucumber avocado roll (add cream cheese!)

Sushi is great quality and the couple who owns it are very appreciative of my business. I go for lunch once a month at Ginza and I've never had a bad experience. Price is very fair.

The owners are such wonderful people. I have my seat that I always sit at everytime and they remember me and ask how I'm doing. Their rolls are really good but since I'm a regular I was hoping to see a change in rolls on their most recent menu update. They don't offer mango or mango sauce in any of their rolls and I hope in the future they will add at least one of the two to their menu.
