We came in for an oil change, and we're treated very well, with respect and not as some dumb female. Thank-you

Full service. Friendly, courteous, efficient.
Very busy location. Steady line of vehicles in and out.
I showed up, there were 2 getting serviced and 3 others waiting
One of the employees came over to let me know it would be a 25 minute wait. I appreciated this information.
Once in they changed a license plate bulb, air filter, one wiper and oil change.
In and out in about 20 minutes.
I love the Great Canadian Oil Change.
Very professional.in all aspects.

IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER’S COMMENT: Prior to writing this review, I had a long phone conversation with Customer Care, I completed a written customer satisfaction survey, and I personally spoke with the manager of that location twice. It is unclear to me how much more I can “reach out”.
I had an oil change at Great Canadian Oil Change at 2470 Main Street on September 21. When I noticed leaks on my driveway, I immediately went back. After waiting two hours, they determined that they had caused damage and the oil pan would have to be replaced. I had to leave my car there and they would bring it to their mechanic. One week later I called to inquire about my vehicle, but they never followed up with me. A few days later, I picked up my vehicle. I was so disappointed by the lack of communication and apathetic attitude, I called the Customer Care line. The following week the shop manager called me back to discuss the above issue. After some negotiation, he agreed to refund my money. A few days later Valvoline (Great Canadian Oil Change) sent an e-transfer, but it was promptly cancelled by them without any explanation. Their customers deserve better. Hopefully they will learn from this example.

Price matching, attentive / quality service, decent extra coverage. Haven't had any complaints with the Manitoba locations. Top notch oil change, where the customer is always right!

The best service! In and out in less than 20 minutes and everyone was beyond nice and helpful. The best part was that they didn’t talk down to me which I’ve found is a huge problem with auto shops which I really appreciated!

They claim to take competitors coupons on their signage. Apparently my "free oil change" coupon from Canadian Tire isn't acceptable because its free.

It's literally a coupon I cut out of a flyer. The Winnipeg Main street location needs to update their policy, "only accepting bad competitors coupons" haha

As far as express oil changes go. They did a great job and the people were very friendly and honest.

Awesome service provided by great canadian oil change everyone was so lively and served me with smile. All the employees seemed passionate towards their work. Good team work. One thing that I like about Great canadian Oil change as compare to others that they don’t force service on you instead recommend the stuff needed to be done. Good job guys keep it up.

Just got back from getting an oil change, this was my first time at Great Canadian Oil Change. Every staff member I had an interaction with was extremely kind and professional, plus the service was not overpriced. I will definitely be returning for all my future oil changes.

Went for an Oil Change on Sunday and felt the need to review. Service was great! They came out to let us know that the car ahead of us would be about 30 minutes if we wanted to wait. Once in the bay, the staff was quick, efficient, and friendly. Not once did I feel pressured to add any additional services. Definitely recommend if you need a quick professional oil change.

Fast, affordable oil change. Look them up online and download an electronic coupon to make it even less. Free tire pressure check/fill, fluid top ups, check all the lights and wiper blades are good. If you need new wiper blades or brake/turn signal bulb, they let you know. They offer convenient on the spot service to have them address. For a small fee for the extra parts/built in labour, and in the time it takes to get an oil change, you'reset to go!

3 in line ahead of us, 40 minute wait to finish 2 cars before any of us moved. A team of 8 working on 1 car each and they stood around chatting. Ridiculous. Not only did we leave but a car in front left as well. No care in the world. No business received…best to go when no one is there you’ll still wait 20 minutes while they chat.

Where to start….
Had an oil change done. Noticed very slow leaking. Work and life schedule forced me to wait a couple weeks to get into a dealer shop to have it looked at. Dealer says I’d lost 4L and the seal was broken in the filter that was installed.

245.00 later the mess is cleaned and new oil change is done.

Go to GCOC and explain what I’m told. Rather than refund expenses, it had to be reviewed in video. Then the filter has to be sent for testing.

Essentially they are saying: I did something, spent 245.00 to undo the oil change that was done. Or in simpler terms I’m lying that this happened through either error or defect. What do I gain from lying about this?

I’ve used them before but won’t be back purely because they don’t honour their promises.

Took my truck for servicing earlier this week. The techs were like a NASCAR pit crew. They were friendly, helpful and displayed excellent CRM skills during the service. 10/10. I will be returning for my next service.

Fast and efficient drive-thru service.
They did oil change on my car within 10-12 min. But unfortunately mechanic unable to change my cabin air filter

I called for a price on my specific car a 2015 Chrysler 200s they told me a regular oil change would cost me 50$ I went in the same day and the people working told me that my car requires to have full synthetic oil which I know it doesn’t they then proceed to tell me they don’t have 0w20 for regular oil and went on with the oil change charging me over 100$ I called back after I got my oil change and asked them again for the price on my car and if they had the oil for the regular oil change and they told me they did, don’t go here if you’re a young girl they’ll rip you off

Good service. I go there to see Kevin, he's a nice guy to talk to, and tries to help with questions.
He's a good guy I hope he starts training people.

The staff was very professional and upbeat. I had a bad experience at my last oil change at MrLube and they were extremely considerate of that and communicated amazingly.

The entire team works as one unit. They were all incredibly kind and quick. Miguel took care of us from the start with an amazing attitude and great knowledge. We ended up getting new windshield wipers and air filters on his suggestion. I will be coming back here for every oil change from now on. I will also be recommending thag my friends and family do as well. Thank you so much to the amazing team at Great Canadian Oil Change

Everyone spoke great English except the one individual that was actually speaking with me. His English was so broken I had to get him to repeat every sentence. He offered me a coolant flush for 19.99 I had him repeat the price to me 3 times. 19.99,19.99,19.99 so i said yes and was charged 99.99. Argued with them for 45 minutes and they won’t amend their employees mistake.

My daughter told me 2 go to Great Canadian, so I did! All the staff were friendly, polite & they knew what to do & they sure knew how to provide good services to their customers! Great job & keep up the great service you provide 2 all the customers!

Not impressed with the exorbitant price increase since Valvoline purchased all GCOC franchises. I've been using GCOC regularly for three of my vehicles and always provide my own oil and filter. This pre-Valvoline run business would charge me approx $28 taxes included to perform the service. Today when I was ready to pay for the exact same service my bill came to $43 and change after taxes (I was shocked to say the least). The manager on duty provided me a one time discount after explaining the change in ownership as this was my first time back since corporate takeover. I will be searching elsewhere to have this service performed.

I was impressed with how organized and quick they die my oil change and no high pressure tactics

Went for a oil change the guy put the plug the drain plug on wrong and told me I was good to go and when I got home I lost all the oil and now my mechanic said the engine is seized

Company is refusing to provide paper invoices so that they can harvest your email addresses. There’s no way to not receive solicitation emails and their unsubscribe links don’t work. When asked if I wanted a manager call back, I said no and a manager proceeded to call me back anyway. Never a good experience here and watch out for their upselling!

I've come here several times and had a great experience every time. They're very polite and very professional. One of the employees was very knowledgeable about my car and shared a lot of really good maintenance pointers too.

Very awesome team! I was actually disappointed in the past from their service as they wouldn't look at anything or even fill fluids for my Audi. This last experience was VERY different! Very awesome team and super friendly service. It must have been a slow morning since I had the whole team working on my car! They let me know about every step and even did some fun cheesy customer service moves (I come from Customer Service so I know). I had a sensor to be replaced which they took the time to zip tie it sealed so the light wouldn't be triggered! Would definitely recommend! Thanks guys!

Friendly, knowledgeable and informative, this is a great place to come for service on your vehicle.

I use this place often for my oil changes. I typically provide my own oil bf filter and have them perform the service. Staff are very friendly. They don’t pressure you into sales. Just let you know your options. I’ve spoken to the manger in the past as well and he was very helpful. Went above and beyond to answer my concerns. Prior to valvoline taking over, this was def 5 stars

My favourite place for oil changes. Great service and no pressure sales. I'm glad Valvoline bought them out you can notice the difference with safety and free top ups for fluids.

As I arrived the employees of Gcoc were very pleasant an easy going, an answered any question that I had asked, when your employees were done I said good job guys an the said thanks of course, an I will return yo get further work done on my vehicle, thank you!

Love this place but the new system that they are trying im not sure about, ill keep going a few more times before I decide if I want to keep being loyal to this place.
I will say that the staff on the main st. Location is awesome tho

Came to get my oil changed and would not serve us as we had out of province plates (considering we don't leave the car not sure why that is a problem) Regardless we left and called in to see the reason why they wouldn't serve and the manager replied very rudely and lied about why they denied us. Will NEVER be going back. Lost a tenured customer

False advertising, this place stating that the suspension grease is included (this is written on their price list inside the shop) but they didn’t lube any of my trucks. I changed oil there on 3 of my trucks this March and every time i was there I specifically asked their team member to grease my tie rod and ball joints and they responded that they do that with every oil change. Last oil change went super fast so I got sceptical, crawled under my truck and didn’t find any signs of fresh grease, all zerk fittings were covered in dirt and old grease and weren’t touched. Checked the other 2 trucks and didn’t find any fresh grease either. As a business owner myself I was completely relying on this place to take care of my truck fluid changes in engine, differentials, transmission, transfer case, power steering you name it. After being lied to I will be taking my business somewhere else. This location owner should better train and monitor work of his employees.

The oil change was fine, but their sales techniques are deceptive. I asked for a full synthetic oil change which was $83.99. I have a discount of $10 through MGEU. The tech informed me that they had a special of $10 off on their Irving oil & that the total would be about the same. After paying the bill I discovered that I in fact paid $10 more than I would have. As a business, if you're not going to honor a discount that you've negotiated in good faith, why even bother? !?
