Greenwoods Dental Portage - Dentist In Winnipeg

My spouse chose a clinic for a dental checkup. Her teeth weren’t bothering her, it was just time for an checkup. Unfortunately, we turned to this clinic. Looks like the dantist Spencer Mann, performed the treatment everything that was necessary and not needed. He convinced my spouse that she needed to replace her old fillings, which were not bothering her. And all will be well. After replacing the fillings, the doctor said that he want to remove the new fillings that he had just installed and install crowns. Unexpected and strange. We decided not to rush with the crowns.
The next day after the treatment, problems began with one of the teeth;
We came to the doctor's clinic. The doctor Mann tapped the tooth with something metal and said to watch for a couple of days. During next few days, no miracle happened and we returned to the doctor. This time doctor Spencer Mann remembered that he had special equipment and took a picture of the tooth. The picture showed an infection. The doctor filled the tooth again and told us wait a few days. The miracle did not happen again and the tooth pain more. We went to the doctor again, he took a picture of tooth again and said about 3 options.
The first one is to install a crown for 1500 cad, but he doesn’t give any guarantees.
Second, install an implant for 8000 cad.
Third, pull out the tooth and go without the tooth.

So let's summarize!
My spouse did not have any problems with her teeth, much less infections, before going to this clinic. We spent about 2000 cad here and now we have a serious problem.

I really do not recommend dantist Spencer Mann and this clinic in general.

This clinic does not care about the quality of services provided, patients and reputation.
The only thing they care about is money!

Best and exceptional service ever. Love the fact that i can enjoy Netflix while the dentists carry out their job.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. I made an appointment for my daughter via email. They also kept me updated using Facebook messenger, which was very convenient for me. They even got a hold of NIHB for me. They also provided rides to my hotel and from my appointment. Will recommend greenwood to family and friends

3 weeks ago, I was having severe dental pain and was seen at the Pembina location and referred to the Portage location as I required surgery under anesthesia. This was on a Saturday, that Monday I was called because they had a cancellation and they could do mine the next day (Tuesday)! They even arranged their shuttle service for me. Dr. Jessy did a great job, the entire team was kind, respectful, supportive & professional. The Anesthesiologist made me very comfortable & answered my questions nicely and patiently. If you have anxiety or issues with going to the Dentist, I highly encourage and recommend this place! Dr. Jessy and her assistant did my follow up today (Feb 8) to see how I’m doing post-op and I’m happy to report that I’m in excellent shape dentally!

Always a pleasant experience going back here with my family, the clinic is always clean, they provide shuttle services, the staff is very friendly and the service is great. Dr. Jesey's very hands on with her patients, very reassuring and we were also helped by very nice and friendly Van & Trix with our appointment today!

This is the best dentist's office in the city. You may wait slightly longer past your appointment time but they are very busy so that makes sense. The dental hygienist is so gentle and explains everything he's doing. The dentist is kind and to the point. Everything is painless and quick. As long as the staff doesn't change, I won't go anywhere else. They also have a shuttle that will pick up and and drop you off if you need it!

I went to this place because of the good reviews. I used to go regularly for cleaning and checkups, turns out they weren’t doing a good job cleaning my teeth and there was a plaque build up in areas that I couldn’t see. If they can’t do something as simple as a cleaning, I wouldn’t trust them with anything else.

Had a check up and review of a past filling (from different dentist) with Dr Jessy, she was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and professional. Presented me with a range of options for relief of my concern. Thanks again Greenwoods dental and Dr. Jessy, will be coming back:).

Terrible to say - but I hadn’t been to a dentist in years until I chipped a molar and had to see someone. Greenwood’s were able to fit me in the next business day and I was so scared going in. I needn’t have worried at all - everyone was excellent! I am privileged to have good coverage through work and they were able to extract a wisdom tooth that had caused the problem as well as fill the molar that had broken. They took excellent care of me and made sure I was comfortable each step of the way. I couldn’t be happier with the care that I received!

Don’t be fooled by the reviews! About 2 years ago they were asking people to give them reviews so that the customer’s name would be put into a $50 Tim Hortons gift card draws. The only good experience I had in this place was with the hygienist Sam. The two dentists I saw twice insisted on removing my wisdom teeth despite the fact that my wisdom teeth were perfectly fine and I told them I will think about it. They insisted on filling a cavity in one of my tooth which I was okay with but, they did a bad job that it starts to hurt whenever I bite. When I told the female dentist that the tooth was hurting, she said I should take a painkiller. After few weeks I decided to go see a different dentist and they told me that the filling was not done well properly.

Never again!

Dentist and staff at Greenwoods are very accomodating and friendly they provide you the best care about you’re teeth and always make sure you’re comfortable and relaxed everytime you visit them.:)

I recently had a ton of much needed work done at the Portage Ave. Location. I have severe anxiety, and Dr. Rayan is the best dentist I've ever had. Combined with sleep dentistry, her kind and compassionate approach helped me feel completely at ease. The clinic is impeccably clean, professional, and well organized, from the reception to the nurses and all support staff. Thank you, Dr. Rayan and the Greenwoods family for changing my life!

Cheap business, charging patients the credit card company fees 3% or 4% of total bill if payment through mastercard or VISA. Let me ask them when you buy groceries, fueling or buy other stuff from store. Did greenwood guys or owners pay credit card fees? Shame on them, making millions but thinking is pretty same as person selling their stuff in food trucks.

Had an amazing experience with Dr. Jessy and their team. They made sure I was always comfortable, and let me take breaks whenever I was feeling overwhelmed. They are super compassionate, kind and patient individuals, who seem to care deeply about their clients. I couldn't ask for a better dentist:)

It was my first time to visit and it took a while to verify my insurance, but once they verified it and ushered me inside it was okay. Dr. Jessy and Marry Ann attended to me and explained what procedures needed to be done and explained my insurance coverage. I didn't have enough time so I opted to visit back.

The clinic was clean and well equipped. They checked my temperature each time and all are wearing a mask. It made me feel safe. They also gave me a call a day before of my appointments as a reminder.

I had 2 sessions for filling, root canal and a tooth extraction. I did not feel pain at all during the procedures and Dr. Jessy and Marry Ann really made me comfortable through the whole process.

The rest of the staff are also so nice and accommodating.

Oh, and I also got a free rechargeable toothbrush. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic here. I was long overdue for a visit to a dentist. They got me in very quickly, and took such good care of me! Staff was very friendly. I wasn't made to feel bad about the state of my teeth like I felt about them. I know they were in need of some TLC. Overall very professional and will definitely be back sooner rather than another five years down the road haha. Highly recommended.

Super happy I choose this dental office! I've been able to get in quite quickly every time, sometimes on the same day, the staff is very friendly, and Dr. Rayan makes sure I have all the information I need (including pricing) before booking any procedures.

Watch out for this clinic. My daughter went there for an emergency root canal. They charged my insurance for procedures that apparently was not done. Found out when I had my daughter checked by our actual family dentist. In short they are cheats. They will rip you off and your insurance. Plus they will make you pay unnecessary fees. Called my insurance, reported it and they did an investigation. This clinic however did return the fees back to my insurance after changing their invoice several times. So you’ll be stressed and ripped off. Never going back there again.

Had a great experience at Greenwood Dental. Very friendly atmosphere and very efficient. Didn't make me feel bad that I hadn't been to see a dentist in a while. Gave clear estimates of cost.

Had a great experience with Dr. Jessy and staff. She took time to explain me everything even before she started the treatment. Would definitely recommend this place seem like they also do sleep dentistry, which definitely is a positive sign for me especially who has very bad anxiety.

I am so disappointed by their service. I booked for a CT. Take off from work and half way down I get call from them saying that the Machine is out of order. Their specialist only work for few hours and that too once in a week. Everywhere else, the service providers make time for customers, not in Greenwoods. I had previous appointments there with Dr. Jessy. She was a great human being. She understood people and treat them with care & attention. One of their receptionist, I think her name was Ann. She was also very helpful. The other staff including their specialist, I have nothing to say. …

It took a while to get my treatment. They could have informed to come earlier than the appointment time to get ready with the insurance part. The receptionist Shannon was nice. I waited longer than the time I was treated. The dentist was nice and she made sure it's painless.

Greenwood’s Dental is by far my favourite Dental Office. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, they gladly take the extra time to explain, in depth, what options or procedures are available to you. Greenwood’s consistently makes seeing the Dentist a pleasant experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Dentist used of my lack of knowledge to apply sealing on my son teeth. I was not explained about the details of the procedure and when I notice, it's something that was not a simple thing, and also will now require a more expensive maintenance through his entire life.
Same day I was charged about something not covered by my insurance and I wasn't told beforehand.

Never returning.

From the front desk to the assistant, hygienist (Sam) and of course Dr. Jessy, they are all doing a great job. Very smooth and excellent and I like that the place is clean and cozy.

Best dentists office I've ever been to! Front staff was very friendly, and the doctors and nurses were all amazing! They really seem to care about making dental work as painless as possible, this was by far the least painful cleaning I've ever had.

I had never been here before but my usual children’s dentist was not returning my messages so I decided to try them out.

I took my 4 year old son to see Dr. Jessy for an extraction which was also his first visit ever to the dentist.

He was very nervous and Dr. Jessy and 2 other staff Chrissy and Mary went to work giving him treats and toys and balloons to make him as comfortable as possible. They put on his favourite show Paw Patrol and distracted him as best they could.

They removed his tooth very quickly and made the extraction as pleasant as an extraction can be. My son even smiled on the way home and made jokes after he realized he was not in pain anymore.

Thank you to all the staff who were so kind to my child and made him feel as safe as they could.

I would recommend this location at 246 Portage Ave.to anyone needing a new dentist.

I visited the portage location for a root canal and a filing. Dr Jessy is awesome. She is really good at her job. Mary her assistant is the most friendly person. I really enjoyed getting my treatment done. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Had a wonderful experience!

I recently used Greenwood dental and I didn't have dental coverage so I had to pay out of pocket and it was around 2400$ too only do a few of my upper and lower teeth I was a little disappointed I know it's really difficult work to do and teeth normally last when you take care of them however my teeth are basically decade so thanks for not really helping they all seem to put on a fake face for the customers especially the receptionist she doesn't care unless you are covered or are paying out of pocket she will probably reply with some Bs saying oh I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy your experience with us but I'm really shocked these dentests aren't here too help the people out more it seems like they put on a fake face to get your money once you can't pay they will shew ya out the door feeling either satisfied cause your covered or really sad cause you had to pay so much for something that didn't really benefit your oral health it looks good and they are very good at dentistry work but like I said they will gladly have you there and do it right just as long as you can afford it and they will work plans out too too make sure that you keep coming back until you can't

Major work done. I don't freeze so the sedation option was great. No facial bruising after. And very personal staff to work with. For myself, I am no fan of dental work but these beautiful people made my experience very pleasurable! I recommend to anyone who has any fears or concerns. They spend the time with you to ensure your needs are met

This office was clean and well organized. The staff were excellent. The front desk is efficient and very helpful. The dentist and dental assistant were professional, friendly and clearly explained everything to me. Sam the dental hygienist was exceptional. I am someone who fears dental cleanings and Sam was patient, friendly and I was very happy with how clean my teeth felt when I left. I will be going back again! So happy I found this place!

Needed a root canal on short notice. They had me in within an hour. Dr. Jesse was amazing. So thorough with pain management. Greenwoods is a wonderful clinic.

I had a bad experience with dentists as a child which has kept me from regular check ups. When I found these professionals I was so pleased. They kept me calm walked me through every step and talked to me about my options as far as sedation.

Did a good job fixing 2 molars that were gonna be completely extracted, instead they filled it and i haven't experienced any pain! Always very friendly environment and great doctors and front desk staff! They are all very knowledgeable and can answer almost any questions you have.

Best treatment, best service, staff are wonderful, and Dr. Jessy was very helpful and informative, was very affordable even if you don't have insurance, and very accommodating if you need pick up and ride home they accommodate, very much recommended this location for your dental needs. I forgot something in the vehicle on my ride back, I planned to go get it from the office the next day, but the driver came by my house the next day instead, since I was close to the office, I very much appreciated it, definitely made my day.

Great office located directly in downtown Winnipeg! The front desk staff makes you feel right at home immediately when you walk in the door. I see the sign on the sidewalk almost every day I walk past on my way to work. I kept meaning to stop in and make an appointment and see if they are taking new patients. Finally I got the courage. Turns out, not ONLY are they taking new clients, but they were able to schedule me in very quickly and around MY schedule! I seen the hygienist first. Sam was so nice, explained everything and was so gentle. I thought he would cringe when he seen how bad my teeth were. He didn't make me feel bad or embarassed at all, he gave me some great helpful tips! I seen Dr Vipul next. Great dentist. He took time to actually EXAMINE my teeth, and help me prioritize the work that needs to be done. He even started some today, but is letting me come back to finish. When I was leaving, this nice lady Louise was helping me. She was great! Even direct billed to my insurance, so I only paid 20%! She let me PICK the day and time I wanted! This place is amazing! So glad I stopped. See you all next week!

This place is amazing. Dr. Jesse was absolutely fantastic. I was terrified when I first got there and she made me feel so much better. She is very kind and patient. The front desk staff is also very friendly and welcoming, and the office itself is very clean.

I phoned Greenwoods asking for emergency appointment for root canal. I phoned on Monday and got appointment after work on Wednesday. They asked for all the insurance information and got it updated and ready to go before I came in for my first appointment. They are extremely friendly and Dr. Jessie was AMAZING. She was walking me through the procedure, careful, quick.just excellent! I do not think dentist can possibly get any better! My bar was set pretty high as I was happy with my dentist before (they just did not have appointments available so this is why I called a different office). I am definitely coming back soon to take care of other teeth. Thank you for making this a great experience! You just went above and beyond!
