Half Moon Drive In

Expect to be served for an almost 1 hour on a busy day if you have lots of orders. They don't do first come first serve.

The food is pretty good and worth the drive from Winnipeg. The design, the location, and the decor make Half Moon unique. If you haven't been to Half Moon, I suggest you make plans this weekend.

Nostalgic atmosphere. Friendly staff. Would visit more often if the food was better and prices were reasonable. Can't justify the cost of a kid's meal with a couple small chicken fingers and a few fries for $15. Oh, and the $2 to $4 arcade game minimums.

Food is nothing special Frozen burgers and undercooked hot dogs not super impressed friendly staff and cool atmosphere though

One of my favourite takeout restaurants. I love the hotdogs and fries. Just as I always remember food in Lockport should be.

Found food to be very high priced for what you received Foot long hot dog is very skinny and its swallowed by bun

Fun place to grab some lunch after the pleasant drive. Can be pretty busy / just crazy busy, during w ends / event w ends.

Fries are decent, burgers are good, I got the chili dog and there was barely any chili with mostly onions in it.

Nice spot for ice cream in the summer. Pina colada milkshake was delicious. Parking is a bit of a nightmare with the drive through taking up half of the available parking spots. Lots of vehicles turned around and left because of this. I'd suggest to management to revise the drive through placement.

Great place to have a fantastic meal in Lockport! Love the tables out back with view of the dam.

Half Moon is a favorite of ours, no drive through but they did keep the take out window open for people that don't want to eat/order inside. Food was great and I was happy to order my favorite milkshake, they are back to the full menu!

We went to order food assuming we could pay with credit card seeing as it is 2021 but.we found out cash and debit only after ordering (some signage would have help this issue) we then were trapped in line for 45 minutes trying to get out as we only brought credit. For this I am leaving 2 stars as it was a very frustrating experience to be trapped for 45 minutes because no signage.

I like the decor. The lunar burger and fries were good. The service was pretty fast. Although you have to pick up your own order. What was different about this place was the access to the Red River. A nice little walk to the banks of the river after your meal, not a lot of places let you do that. Overall, a good experience.

We used to come here a lot more, but recently their portion sizes have gone way down and prices way up. The Saturn burger is pretty good, their hotdogs are really lacking in flavour and toppings. Not really worth it for the price. Pictured is a medium soft drink that was $3. Their poutines used to be huge but now they are in a smaller box for $8. Their drive thru system is efficient and convenient though.

Always so amazing. Wish I lived closer so I could be there everyday, but my poor wallet is happy I don't live so close

Had a lunar burger and split dog. Both were clearly mass produced frozen meat products. We watched Sysco delivering boxes of frozen burgers as we ate.
Will never go back

It takes a half hour to order and to get your fast food.the food is good the wait just not worth it.

Excellent food. Sometimes a wait with the long drive thru because of covid. But great food. Great ice cream

Well I wish I could write a good review but I cant, food is unseasoned, gravy is good fries have overkill amount of salt staff is unfriendly food is over priced and plain no taste taste like cardboard never again will I go here.

Been wanting to try Half Moon for over a year, but they're only open for drive through only. Decided to give them a try anyway! The ladies running the drive through were super sweet and it was very well organized. There's a small park nearby where you can get out of your vehicle to eat. The footlong hotdog was a tad disappointing in taste, but the burger, fries and milkshake were out of this world amazing. We will definitely be back!

The Half Moon is a fantastic drive in when you want to take the family for a little drive. It was too bad we couldn't go in to sit down to restrictions but they still did a fantastic job regardless.

Had the moon dog cold hotdog cold fried onions and the cheese wasn't melted on a stale bun. Will never go back.

Amazing experience considering there is no dine in service due to the pandemic.

Their drive thru system is amazingly organized, there is extra parking for those that will leave their vehicles to eat, others eat inside their cars.

Came here with a friend and ordered the Saturn burger, the Moon dog deluxe, and fries. The burger had a delicious sauce, but overall the burger was tiny for the cost and it was mostly bun. The hot dogs tasted like something bought at the grocery, boiled in water, and served to the customer. I could have made it for a fraction of the cost. The fries tasted good, but nothing spectacular. We left hungry. Would not recommend this place. There’s much better local burger joints in the city.

We had a large work trailer and we could not make the drive threw. Wanted to order from the ice cream window but they said they could not do this. Missed out on trying their food. Not from the area.
