Hermanos Restaurant & Wine Bar

Mussels came out cool, the LOMO which was suppose to be a Beef Tenderloin and I question that, was cold and chewy. Bland sides, not seasoned enough. Just so disappointed especially being our first time going.

My girlfriend and I just went there for date night and we were very impressed with the food and service from Jess!

The service was fast. Our food was out to us very quickly and was very tasty. Jess was also very helpful when it came to allergies in the food. Didn't have to interrogate her like we have to at other places when it comes to food allergies we have. Quick and painless food ordering!

Went here for my 30th birthday dinner with friends, and our waiter was great! The service was fast, and attentive. I also was given a piece of birthday cake and a drink on the house. They sure made me feel special on my birthday! I will definitely be back. The food is also amazing!

Waited an hour and a half for food. Came cold. Had to get somewhere for 9: 30. Arrived at 7: 30. Kept getting the excuse of lack of staff…. Tired of this post Covid excuse.

We stopped here for dinner when visiting from Saskatchewan and it was an excellent experience overall! Our waitress was VERY knowledgeable on all the menu items and took the time to explain all the steak options in detail. She said she’s been working there for 13 years and was extremely friendly! She accommodated a food allergy of one of our group members with very obvious care. They were out of one of the desserts we ordered and she came back to our table and offered a different dessert option on the house. The food was phenomenal and probably one of the best steak I’ve ever had. Drinks and dessert were also very good!

This is my favourite restaurant to eat at when visiting Winnipeg on date nights. The food is excellent, atmosphere is awesome and the staff are so nice and friendly! I have never had a bad experience here.

Visit quite often when in Winnipeg. Steaks are great!
Update: My umpteenth visit and probably my best yet. It was able to introduce colleagues to Hemanos and their experience was great. Thanks for another great evening.

It's a lovely place to go, as long as you keep your expectations of the food in check. We ordered the calamari as a starter, and it was seasoned poorly, lacking flavour and not cooked properly. We sent it back, and the overcooked replacement was cooked to the point of parody, but it still tasted way below average. They didn't strike it off the bill since there was "nothing wrong with it but the flavour. " Agreed. Support your local business? Yes. Come back? No.
My cousin had the seafood stew, and the broth lacked flavour so profoundly, it was dish water with some nice seafood. They were cooking with great ingredients but lacking in execution. Rookie mistakes.
I had the Argentinian Surf and Turf, a pricy dish. The steak was divine. The sauce was elegant. Everything else on the plate was nearly inedible. Well, the carrot was ok.
Our waitress was very kind, I can't call out the wait staff for anything but making excuses for the kitchen's struggles. I suggest you try it out and support local business, but be prepared for the food being novel in its craptitude.

Overall subpar. Ribs were dry, pasta bland, seats had sharps cracks. Service was friendly but couldn’t answer questions about the menu and didn’t bother offering to ask the kitchen. Normally would’ve been 3 stars but for the price you pay it’s not worth it at all

Used to love this place but it has gone downhill. Our experience was very disappointing and don’t think we will ever come back. When both steaks are cooked wrong it is an issue we ordered medium rare and got rare steak, no flavour and it was just like chewing on gum. The mushroom were canned mushrooms and Burt to boot they tasted like old dirty socks. You would think for the price we pays for these steaks you would get a premium ribeye steak but not the case…it a shame they had good quality food at one time but not anymore… we would be better off if we would of gone to the Keg we would of gotten better steak for Less the price…

TBH I didn’t like this place at all. It is so expensive as compared to their food items. It is not worth it to spend that much money here. Mostly they are out on their drinks flavours and then they will give you substitute on almost every drink. They have very less veggie items and those veggie options are also not good at all.

The service was fantastic and our server was great but the food was not how we remembered it. The ribs were dry/not falling off the bone very easily and the BBQ sauce tasted substandard for this style of restaurant. The ribeye was good but the surf and turf that was put on top was a bit too strong for our liking. Overall great environment and staff but the food was just okay!

Went on a date with hubby and ate at Hermanos. My husband ordered a salad with his food and the tomatoes were rotten. They tasted nasty. And tomatoes are in season right now. We got the salad replaced by the waitress and she gave a discount, however for a place like hermanos we expected to at least not get charged for the salad, the whole meal should have been free. We were very disappointed in this restaurant.

I came here years ago and the food quality and flavours were so good. I came over the weekend and it was truly disappointing.
I’m not sure what happened this time but it was not it. Two out of three appetizers were good - spicy deep fried shrimp, one of each of the empanadas and the watermelon salad. The watermelon salad was delicious years ago and this time was so underwhelming, zero flavour there.

The main meal was the biggest disappointment. I got the steak skewers and was immediately grossed out upon taking a few bites. The meat was super fatty, some pieces were still raw and had a really odd texture and it was barely seasoned. The mashed potatoes, corn, green beans and mushrooms barely had any flavour at all either. Not even basic salt.

I thought maybe they could redeem themselves with dessert - Najara’s favourite. Not this time. The reason we ordered it was for the white chocolate mousse, only to discover a super tiny amount under a big pile of whipped cream from a can and a few pieces of cantaloupe and honeydew.

I took my steak leftovers home but unfortunately threw them out because I couldn’t bring myself to eat them.

The quality and flavour here needs some serious work. Prices are pretty steep as well so I expected a much better meal. I probably wouldn’t go back.

It's the same as pre closing. Staff is efficient and helpful without being intrusive. Food was terrific. Plenty of menu options.

Hermano’s is our favourite restaurant in the city. Not only is the food great but the service and energy from the restaurant staff is fantastic. Staff are always friendly, accommodating and attentive. The restaurant always makes us want to come back!

They must of changed chefs cause the food was not good, both our steaks were over cooked, veggies had no seasoning. The drinks were good but that’s about it, super disappointing.

We went to Hermanos in June as we were given a gift card. We were told the machine to process the gift card was not working. We were told to check back later. We will try in August.
