Buyer Beware. We were very upfront about our plans to apply for the provincial rebate, federal grant, and the Federal Greener Homes Loan (10 years, 0% interest). Despite this information being openly shared, the salesman did not disclose the fact that the doors we selected were not EnergyStar rated, until after they had been installed and we asked why they didn’t have a sticker on them too.

His response? “The doors are not "EnergyStar" rated… They meet all the qualifications, we just have not gone through the process for approval, as it is ridiculously expensive and time consuming…”

You know what else is ridiculously expensive? Windows and doors. Not even an apology.

Don’t make the same mistake we did. If you’re also applying for rebates, loans, grants etc.go with someone else.

Stopped in to see if I could get a living room window smashed by a vandal, replaced. Not only did they give me a quick estimate, but got the install estimator to call me that very same night. Also it was the lowest of 5 quotes. Yes the repair is in the process. Absolutely the best professional customer service I have ever experienced. Very Highly recommend

Installer refused to use drip edge, insisting it’s not standard and we didn’t have one. Guess what? Window leaks, opened it up and installers cut the old drip edge off and didn’t replace. There are massive gaps between the window and my house. I have video showing the water streaming into my house but can’t upload here. Not going to bother using the lifetime warranty since the same garbage installers, who were quoted as being “the best”, can’t be trusted. DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY. I paid in full and am now paying someone else to fix their mess PLUS fix all the damage to my house from leaking inside the walls.

They were very professional from start to finish. Prompt, friendly service and skilled installation. Very nice work.

The company has gone downhill and I would not recommend them. We first hired them 7 years ago for our windows which at that time they were great and knew what integrity and customer service was but unfortunately that has changed. We recently got a door from them and not only did it take 7 months before we got the door but they clearly didn't take the measurements properly and installed the wrong casing, ones that were a lot smaller than what we had previously leaving exposed wood and scratched paint all around the door. I addressed it at the time of installation but was told by the installer that was the only size available (which turned out not to be the case). They said they would correct the issue but after one no show for an appointment (family issues) and then cancelations on their part (also family issues) and then telling us we have to coordinate with the employee who originally said the size casings didnt exist, we were beyond frustrated and decided to call it a loss and not deal with this company any further due to their unprofessionalism, extremely poor customer service and reliability. We will be going through someone else for the remaining work we need and would not recommend them. It is a shame they are no longer the company they were 7 years ago.

They came to my 55+ building to improve insulation around the windows. The guy completely ripped out perfectly good and dry insulation. Then obviously (I worked in construction for 45 years) he had no clue on how to use spray foam.
Before they "fixed it" at -30 I could have my thermostat at 26.
After at -20 I had to put my thermostat full blast.
Avoid this company like covid.

We had someone come in, barely showed any interest nor talked about the product.simply took down the doors we were interested in, told us he would get back to us with a quote in a couple days. Didn’t hear anything from him.

Hi-tech is an excellent company with a great product. We shopped around and did alot of research and ended up with Hi-tech mostly because of the Supercore window design. I had a total of 26 windows and 1 patio door installed. 11 last year (2019) and just recently the rest. Stan from sales was fabulous. Very knowledgeable, timely and provided us great service with both purchases. We even got a tour of the factory where the windows are manufactured. For both orders the windows took 8 - 10 weeks to manufacture as promised and the install happened shortly after. Both installations were done by Dave Taylor and crew. Dave came to visit and take final measurements prior to manufacturing and answered all our questions. To say this crew are professionals and know windows is an understatement! The first install was completed in one day. The second bigger install took 2 days (with a smaller crew - Dave and Ramsey). They were meticulous at removing the old windows to installing the final product. And did a very thorough job cleaning up after. The crew cleaned the new windows and made sure that all mechanisms were in working order.

The 11 windows from last year went through a winter and it was a very noticeable difference from my old ones. It is such a great window! There have been no problems. My house looks great now complete with all Supercore windows!

I installed Hi Tech windows and a door in my home about 5 years ago.
I was pleased with most of the work, but had a problem with the dead bolt installed in the door. When I called Hi Tech back to ask the installer to come back to fix this, they had the installer call me to tell me he followed the installation instructions and there was nothing more he could do.
Well, guess who fixed it? Me, who knows nothing at all about locks!
Hi-Tech never called to make sure I was satisfied with my windows/door and the work.
Fast forward to May 2019. I need a window replaced (an old one, not the Hi Tech) hired Hi Tech so my windows will match.
The installation went well.
I recently noticed condensation on the new window and the latch not quite going all the way like the rest of the windows.
I called Hi Tech over a week ago and they transferred me to a voicemail and they haven’t called me back!
Lifetime guarantee if you can get them to come back after they have your money.

Have ordered doors, patio doors and windows for the house and cottage. Great products, exceptional warranty and amazing service.

I have nothing remotely close to the experience Mr “negative star” Mat K claims to have had. His story is really hard to believe.

We had 13 old windows in our house replaced recently. What made us choose Hi-Tech is that they really seemed to place customer service first. There was no high-pressure sale, but I did get a good sense of the difference between all the products. (We ended up going with the more premium product - planning to only do this once.) You get to meet the installer who will actually do your job before they even get going. It seems like a small thing, but it made a difference. Ryan was awesome!

The first quote consultation was in June, and the windows arrived, ready for installation at the end of August. We had anticipated that it would take some time to construct the windows, so that was a very acceptable turnaround. Because of our older home, with its plaster and lathe, we found that when the old windows came out, the area around the new windows had cracked, and the trim that we originally picked out wasn't going to be wide enough to cover the whole gap. The manager called me and we selected a new, wider trim - it cost a little more, but I had the chance to approve the selection and price ahead of them coming back to install the new trim. That final piece of work was finished in less than a day, and everything looks wonderful. Would absolutely work with Hi-Tech again in future. (Probably won't need windows again, but they also do doors!)

What a fantastic experience ordering windows through Hi-Tech. The windows and doors that we purchased are beautiful. Also the great customer service from there sales team to the quick and efficient install. I would recommend HiTech to anyone looking to purchase windows and doors.

If I could rate this company with a zero I would. We ordered 21 new windows for our 100 year old character home and had issues with nearly every single one of them. We ordered in May and had to call and email the office ourselves 3 (yes, THREE) times in AUGUST to secure an installation date. They apologized for a product delay. You couldn’t have called after 2.5 months to inform your customer of the delay? The “crew” came 2 weeks later. Destroyed our gardens (after we had specifically pointed out heritage plants and areas of special concern), damaged our brand new walls in the home, the windows had glue and scratches all over them, terrible install (some of the windows we are having challenges with already). Not to mention the monster bomb that was thrown our way when all of the windows on the top floor were changed due to egress concerns. When we asked if the style would differ from the main floor aesthetically the salesperson that we were dealing with, Rick Klassen, informed us “don’t worry, it will look good”. Well, let me tell you.it looks far from good. Shortly after installation we realized the concerns and addressed them with the General Manager, Sean Kapusta, and the owner, Ernie Sanders. Who both refused to change the windows out to match the second floor instead offering to PROVIDE A QUOTE FOR NEW WINDOWS! Are you kidding me? New windows? We just paid how many tens of thousands for new windows! What an absolute joke this company is. Glitzy marketing and a pack of fools.

We had previously installed Polar Windows in other rooms of our home and had the absolute BEST experience. Gorgeous windows.that are insanely good quality, function as they are promised to, phenomenal staff. Worth paying a little bit more - you invest in windows once or twice on a lifetime. It’s a huge decision. DO NOT CHOOSE HI-TECH! You will regret it. Select a reputable company that stands behind their product and doesn’t operate as a three ring circus.

My experience was beyond what I imagined as I have dealt with many contractors for various jobs in the house. From accuracy of the estimate to time of completion, the work had no hidden surprises.

Outstanding workmanship and installation was timely and answered any and all questions to take care of my new patio doors.
Cleanliness of the job, removing existing doors and precision to details was what impressed me most.

I recommend no other window and door companies and no need for multiple quotes!
