Holiday Inn Express Winnipeg Airport - Polo Park

Arrived into Winnipeg after midnight.got to the hotel and was greeted by a security guard.overall check in experience was smooth
the room is quite big.however i feel the room can have a bit more amenity.i feel the "kitchen" was a bit of a waste.the check out the day was effortless.will consider to stay there again if i visit Winnipeg again =)

If I could put 0 stars I would. They have BED BUGS. A friend of mine saw a bug move across the bed fast and they were able to catch it with a cup, they showed the maid in the hall. She laughed in her face and said she doesn’t clean this floor. Even the bellhop person said this is “normal”. This is not normal.

Online pics show a newer hotel, lobby has been recently updated, but once you get up to the room floors is an old, mildew smelling hotel

My wife and I had the pleasure to stay at the Holiday Inn Express at 1740 Ellice on sept 19 th 2023. Apon arrival we were greeted by a gentleman at the front dest and checked us in very quickly and explained all the amenities offered at the inn. The gentleman was very pleasant, friendly and made us feel right at home. I later ask him for directions to several locations and he was very clear and even wrote down some directions for me. The employee, s name was Mahmud and I was honoured to meet him. We stayed on the second floor. When we exited the elevator there was a very pleasant smell in hallway and our room was very up to date with beautiful linen and pillows on a comfortable bed. There was no noise at all throughout the night. Had a restful sleep and went for free breakfast offered by inn at their expense. There was sausage, omelette, waffles, pancakes, yougurt, cereals, muffins, fresh juice and coffee. I will definitely stay at inn when I have to travel to Winnipeg. Thank you for the hospitality and very clean pleasant stay. Great job Holiday Inn to all the employees that made this possible.

Decent hotel but price is expensive. Customer service agents should pay more attention to the guests rather than doing their routine paper work. Great breakfast.

We would never come back. The whole idea was to rest for the night and go.but it’s a sad state of affairs here. The room had so much dust and pet hairs that I could barley sleep. They have kept dark carpet on floor so any amount of dirt or pet hair is not visible. Inspite of taking anti allergic medications I could barley sleep. We love pets but the hotel should have courtesy to keep the place clean. I hope I don’t land up in hospital with an asthma after this stay

Alley at the front desk was fantastic. Roomed was nice and modern. Shower could use a few upgrades but overall a great stay. Parking was tricky as hotel must have been quite full when we were there.

The front parking lot is full of ice and compacted snow. It's a slip fall hazard waiting to happen.

Decent hotel with a central location when compared to the airport and Polo Park. The staff was nice and easy to deal with. There is free parking for overnight guests and you can arrange to leave your vehicle there if you are going on vacation. The cost is around $37 a week. The hotel has a pool and has free breakfast for guests (but you need to get the breakfast ticket). This hotel is what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express, a decent hotel with decent accommodations.

I have stayed at a few different hotels in the last couple years. I have to say they go above and beyond here. Their customer service is top notch. They emailed my confirmation which is standard but then also actually called me to make sure everything about my reservation was good for me. Then after I checked in, went to my room and came back down. I was again asked by name if everything was good. Rooms are cleaned daily/with everything that needs to be replaced being replaced. This is also not common practice at most hotels anymore without asking. Decent buffet style breakfast, pool, hot tub, sauna and gym are all avaible to use. We enjoyed our stay.

Their meeting room water was disgusting. As we drank from the jug the water got increasingly cloudy. I eventually looked into the jug and theres white pieces of paper floating all about the bottom.

Also 1 in ten glasses were dirty. So gross that we knew not to use them. But the water we already drank from. Just gross. Manitoba health needs to inspect this place.

Great place to stay in Winnipeg. I arrived tired and grumpy but left rested and a lot less grumpy. From the moment I walked in until I checked out the staff were amazing. I wish I had all of there names so I could thank them individually but my memory isn’t that good. After a 5 day stay I was certainly impressed with the value, cleanliness, amenities and people. A big ol’ tip of the hat to Litto who made sure to greet everyone in the dining room at breakfast. Bravo HI Express!

Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean and tidy, whole hotel is really.
The unfortunate part is:
Dont let delivery drivers up rooms. Probably a security thing but still.
The office chairs. If you travel for work and need to wotk from the hotel, I'd stay somewhere else. I am 6'2" and have a hard time typing as the chairs are not nearly tall enough for the height of the desk.

Thank you very much Holiday Inn Hotel for helping Ukrainians. We lived here one month. All team is very kind and nice. Rooms is good, big, clean and have all you need. Also have pool, fitness and Landoury for guests.
Even accept pets. We came with cat and dog. It was very nice time with you. Thank you.

The room was clean. The pool was nice (the kids had a blast). Good location right next to Polo Park, close to the airport, shopping, and some really good restaurants.

It’s the small things that matter to me. I was greeted by the front desk agent with a warm smile. After I received my « checking-in » informations, I entered a warm room. The alarm clock was set to the correct time. The room was clean and looked great!

The gym is an augmented standard-hotel gym. I loved it. The breakfast is probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve enjoyed along my trip across Canada. This isn’t to say the other Holiday Inn Expresses lacked quality; rather, the bacon was bigger here and the breakfast staff were warm and friendly. I was actually asked how I was doing with a tone of genuine interest and not a perfunctory inquiry.

Wonderful experience.

We are travelling across Canada and this was the third holiday inn express we stayed at. Edmonton and Saskatoon really set a standard for us that this location didn’t even come close to meeting. Not to mention it was also the most expensive one. The bathroom in the king bed room was so small you have to shuffle around to close the door (like a tight bathroom stall). The products provided in the bathroom are subpar at best.
The breakfast provided……that is what really prompted me to write this review. Machines are broken, food is soggy or stale hard (no in between), the options are at most half of what the other locations had to offer. Syrup bottles empty, asked an employee 3 times if there were more and was blatantly ignored. My wife who has dietary restrictions could barely eat anything offered here.

I thoroughly enjoyed my one week stay there. The staff were excellent and the rooms were nice.

Location isn't the best, but is close to the airport. Alot of transient people. Rooms were good and staff was pretty awesome.

I went to Winnipeg to celebrate my 35th birthday with my mom and sister. The hotel staff went above a beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. The room was very clean, staff is friendly and willing to help with anything. We had a couple things like the coffee machine not working, and the remote missing from the room, but staff where there to fix those problems right away. The breakfast was great with many options. Over all our experience at the hotel was great. A big Thank you to the staff for all they did. I will definitely be going back there.

I can't say enough good things about the awesome staff here! Very new hotel, nice and bright, gorgeous breakfast area, great location!
