Holiday Inn & Suites Winnipeg-Downtown, an IHG Hotel

Workers were fine. There were two elevators, but only one worked. Closet was broken before I arrived. I would never stay here again.

Good location. Close to the WAG, the Winnipeg hockey arena just Close by too. One drawback is there is no room service. So, three stars in lacking in the department.

The rooms are beautiful, easy walking distance ro so many sites, service, restaurant, and bar are top notch. Best customer service! Robert gives it two thumbs up!

Hotel staff and security was very nice. Room felt like it had been cheaply, poorly renovated to hide falling apart fixtures. Hairs in the shower and ceiling tiles were crumbling and askew. Room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. Give your staff more time to clean them. Had to pay $20 to park one night in a garage that didn’t have access to the hotel. Would definitely never stay again.

Terrible, never again. I did toy with the idea of booking another holliday inn to see if they all have same management policy.wow.please do not stay here, this place is impossible, our phone didn't work, the alarm clock time was an hour out, when notifying the front desk, they started arguing with me.we are on a vacation, first one since crapvid happened. This place was clean, a
surprise however in all my years I thought this was an accommodation, yet this place wasn't accommodating, if I could leave pictures of the dead fly in the facemask on the floor, or the vulgar staff who rush to you only to get in your face, this was pure intimidating behavior. The GM uses deflection tactics to all questions he is asked. I was told during booking that the booking deposit is refunded upon check out, IT IS NOT, it is 5 days latter. (probably they are trying to make excuses to keep it) This makes down town winnipeg look bad, but not as bad as the homeless people sitting outside on their property making everyone feel uncomfortable upon entry. Sure wish I could post a few photos of the oddly strange things that were out of place. If you look at my reviews I take this very serious, and I stay at nice places and bad places, it goes with the territory of being a review critic. This is at best a 1 star hotel.

I stayed there and all the staff was so good with but Mihi was so friendly and i guess her name was mamnum they both were awesome. Hope they will get raise. Thanks again wonderfull stay

Friendly staff, they were very accommodating. Location is great. Room was very clean. Bathroom had a heated floor (very nice getting out of the shower). I'll be staying here when I'm in Winnipeg next!

This is a very average hotel. Tiny lobby, slow elevators, people standing out front smoking and dated rooms.

Probably wouldn't stay here again.

It's a great hotel. It has older elevators which is something I always love to see! Also the rooms and hotel are clean and nice looking. The only problem I have is that the main entrance is locked which just makes it hard to get in if you need your key everytime. I always hate having to do my key twice to get up to my room weather its at the front entrance or in the elevator. Eventhough it is in downtown, I still felt perfectly safe staying here before the entrance was locked. Maybe having it just locked during night hours would work better and more convenient. Other than that issue its a perfect hotel. But the best part is the original elevators.

The staff were super nice, polite and helpful. The room was confortable and clean, security presence on every floor. Definitely recommend staying there. Very close to the UofW and the downtown area.

Very friendly and excellent team members. Everyone was helpful. I needed some assistance regarding something, even the front desk manager and Jemma from desk came to help me.

We are asked to leave the lounge area after being told that we could sit there with teenagers to eat, the bartender told us we were not allowed as the adult supervisors were not directly related to the students. After calling the manager no help was given. Felt very prejudiced towards indigenous students.

We arrived at with prior reservations for three rooms and Kelly, the seemed to be manager told us that our rooms were being cleaned and they only had one room ready so we waited two hours until we finally went down and they had told us that it was first come first serve and they overbooked the rooms and Kelly told us to “just wait till a cancellation comes up”. They FINALLY gave us our rooms after 2 hours of waiting. Very poor service and it was not only our group, we heard these complaints about the same workers from multiple people. The hotel employees had removed customers belongings from their room while they were gone and thrown their stuff in the lobby in garbage bags. Will NEVER EVER stay here again. Not happy at all about our experience.

Terrible service.food was horrendous, kitchen staff are unprofessional, served raw meat.save your time and money avoid at all costs.

I love the hotel vibes. It’s classy and has the old style to it, very nice. I appreciate the restaurant staff, they were very kind and compassionate to me by the names of Jessica and Alex. I look forward to staying here in future. I recommend this hotel!

They served raw burgers! They don’t care about their customers. Dirty rooms! Can tell they don’t wash the bedsheets. Don’t recommend staying here

Horrible horrible experience never again! Booked one night with 2 friends, the pool was out of service wasn’t told about that when we booked. Booked the hotel so we could have a pool. Went during the last snow storm and our room was freezing had to wait 30 min for someone to come fix it. The shower was also broken, our room hadn’t been cleaned there was tons of garbage stuffed under the beds. The ice machine on our floor was broken as well. Had no where to park they refused to give directions. Plus they told us they would call us a cab we waited 30 min and ended up calling our own. Then after being charged a stupid amount for rude service and a disgusting room they charged us an extra $50 for “water damage on a desk” just a joke.

The hotel is full of indigenous evacuees, I wish they had advertised that before I booked for 3 weeks. The rooms were clean, and staff were kind and accommodating but still the situation was ridiculous.
