IGI BBQ & Sushi Bistro

So I booked an appointment around 5-5: 30, due to some traffic right, friends were a bit later, also I have wait for some friends as well, so I got there at 5: 03, they told me my meal started at5 so I have to leave at 7, my friends arrived at 5: 30.

The young lady just came and like” you guys got 1 hr left…. You guys just got half hr left…. ” Omg I am here to eat and talk to friends, we ended up hearing that young lady emphasize how long we have been eating, just like she wanted us to leave right away…

Food was fine, I just don’t like the way they push you, restaurant is somewhere you relax from and i felt like I was in a test…. Your final exam is 2 hr and it starts!

This place is great, excellent service and quality food. My first time going there and no better experience I can have than this.

We had my dad’s birthday here and we were a family of 12 and loved it! There was something for everyone, including the kids who are usually picky. The service is efficient and very helpful. Definitely coming back!

It’s terrible. The food is not fresh, the meat is very sticky on the baking tray, and the service is very poor. We add a grill, and we have to add an extra 10 yuan. If we want to add an ice cream, we have to pay an extra fee. We ate a total of 200 yuan, but the experience is particularly bad. It‘s terrible. Whoever eats it will be cheated.

I was extremely impressed with my experience at this restaurant. From the moment I entered, I felt a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly courteous and attentive, making my visit very pleasant from the start. The cuisine was a real delight for the palate. Each dish was expertly prepared and impeccably presented.

Not bad place for all you can eat. Prices have gone up.

Only thing that isn't great is if you order 3 of something like salad or kimchi. You get it it's on 1 plate.when there's 3 people you want separate. They look at you like uhhh.

Took 35 mins to get our first set of meat. But we didn't get the appetizers until the middle of the meal.
Didn't make sense at all.

Nothing really stood out in aste.

Tip. Don't eat sushi here. It'll just fill you up.

We have been here a couple times and each time was just as good as the last. Lots of options for meat AND veggies plus a large selection of sushi that was delicious.
Service was good, the owner was serving tables which is always nice to see.
Service wasn't the fastest but that didn't hinder the experience in any way. Would 100% recommend - however make sure you book in advance, they fill up quick and only take reservations.

It's a nice restaurant, clean, well set up. It was a full restaurant, and they probably could have used at least one more server. They were very quick to bring out the first round of dishes for all you can eat foods. But they were fairly slow on the follow-up orders. Some dishes were just not the greatest quality for what you would expect. Some things that should be served cold were actually warm. We had to ask to have our stove top to be changed as it was just too dirty for the food to cook on anymore.

The menu for all you can eat is huge, like amazing and so many good choices. It was not quite up to the BC standards that I am used to, but it was good.

Staff are great, sushi is good. The "bbq" has no flavour at all. The atmosphere is ok at best. I bit over priced but it is all you can eat so depending on hunger levels i guess.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. If they had more of a selection of sauces, I would give it 5 stars.

As an effort to reduce customer's wait time, IGI has made reservation must; you cannot just drop by anymore so that's a heads up.

Pros: good place for Korean-styled BBQ and sashimi. Nice service and atmostphere

I have been going to IGI like a few times per year since 2015. Before that, this place is good for both Korean BBQ and sushi but since COVID time, their sushi quality has been going downhill. I was in yesterday and some of their fish rolls were having smell and it tasted terrible (probably from leaving the fish on counter for too long). At least their Korean BBQ meat and sashimi are still top-notch so from now on I'd still going to this place for that.

I find the food here to be quite tasty. I most often go in for all you can eat. I particularly like the teriyaki beef. The servers came around regularly and were helpful and friendly. It's pretty fun to cook the food on the grill in the center of the table. Where I do think they are lacking is in the atmosphere as it is somewhat industrial inside (however, this is necessary I believe due to ventilation and sprinkler requirements)

While expensive, the menu is expansive. You will not leave hungry, or bored. Remember, you need reservations as it’s always busy.

Best in a group, but wow. Just wow.

Came for the first time six years ago and just returned this last Saturday. You need a reservation, any remaining food will be charged, there is a basic service fee for tables of 5 people and up, and there is the 2 hour time limit, but I am glad to report:
- the quality is still amazing: while not all the dishes are premium quality, all the sashimi was fresh
- the marinated meat is still very good
- ordering the second round does not take ages unlike other ayce bbq places
- they even had some wagyu slices to order on top of the ayce menu
- the bottomless green tea was good
- service was courteous and efficient
I strongly recommend to study the menu before coming, so that you know what you want to order shortly after seating. Overall, a very good experience. A tad expensive for kids but otherwise, I felt I got what I paid for.

First time having Korean BBQ. Normally I do a pros and cons list but no real cons. Delicious food, cool experience, very nice staff. More meat that I thought we could eat and it was all delicious. I guess the only cons is for people that don’t want to cook their meat themselves (but there’s a good list of sushi and other items anyway). Highly recommend, make sure to visit in an empty stomach!

Food in abundance nowadays is a miracle with rising food cost. Thank you for your hard work serving hungry locals alike!
Buffets are blessings.

The food was delicious. There is lots of variety. Sushi, tempura, rice. Veggies, lamb, pork, beef, chicken, seafood. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a fun time, and 2 hours flew by. We will be for the supper menu next time, I think. We also had the peach flavored soju. It was a great experience.

Freaking phenomenal. Did not expect good sushi nor BBQ while driving through winnipeg. Would go back.

This place was so fun! Took my husband out for his birthday and it was exactly what we were expecting. Food was delicious, well marinated and the staff were fantastic. We will defintely be back.

IGI bbq is the best korean bbq place! We tried several other bbqs and they simply cannot compete with IGI. Amazing food with lots of variety, The bbq itself is very delicious, and everything thats in their menu is 18/10. Definitely worth the price. If you want to impress someone take them here. It’s quite an experience. Very attentive staff. You always have your water full and your menu taken once you’re done. Fast service. They also give you a complimentary ice cream. Amazing experience! Once you try IGI, you won’t try any other bbq place
