Inferno's Bistro

I had higher hopes for this than what we got, which kinda is dissapointing. 1st the atmosphere was loud due to all the tables/people packed into a smaller area & people having to talk above one another. This made for poor conversation while dining. Dinner wasn't bad in some regards, the Coconut Thai mussels were so great, veal was too. But the rib-eye was asked to be med rare & came as almost well done. Looked like it was boiled or something & just tasted gross. Sides had nothing to them. They seemed to be just plain veggies & mashed potatoes. Overall, I'd say try if you like, but you're not missing anything if you dont.

Inferno’s offered our 30-person group impeccable food and service. Hats off to this amazing Winnipeg restaurant!

The food here is excellent. The desserts are awesome. A nice outdoor seating area for the summertime. It’s a leisurely atmosphere, so don’t expect to get out of here too quick.

I've been here a lot over the years with various experiences. First off, the patio is amazing. Such a beautiful place to sit in the summer. And there is ample room indoors, upstairs and downstairs, if you're hosting an event. Food-wise, sometimes the food has been good and other times, it's been just ok. So overall, pretty inconsistent for me. It seems to draw an older crowd of local consistent customers. And I still come here once in a while to see if the experience changes. I do remember the muscle and fries dishes to be pretty good.

Very delicious baby back ribs, fall off the bone tender. Wonderful desserts. And service.

Inferno's is a delight, both at lunch and dinner. Have been for dinner a few times, so it was nice to try out their lunch menu.

They have a fresh sheet with specials, a great selection of appetizers and mains, and out of this world desserts!

The corn bread and foccacia offered at the beginning of the meal was served either a whipped butter with garlic/spices that was out of this world.

We shared amongst 5 people - frog's legs, escargot, Asian duck confit potstickers, rack of lamb, salmon Royale, Madagascar moules frites, and the bison steak with beet gnocchi.

All were fresh and delicious, and nicely plated. It was a busy lunch crowd so reservations are recommended.

Other diners in the restaurant looked happy and sated.

Infernos is a French restaurant in St. Boniface. It has a great patio to enjoy on summer afternoon or evening. Live music was playing when we went. Restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night; rezo’s recommended if you don’t want to wait or be disappointed. A bread basket is served and it is fantastic. I had the pickerel which came in a sauce that was delicious and seasoned well. My husband had the Buttermilk chicken sandwich and fries and had nothing negative to say! He really enjoyed Infernos. Awe. Miracles do happen! Beer and cocktails are limited but the wine menu is really the star. I most definitely will be back to try the many other menu offerings. Oh and dessert is a MUST. I had the crème brûlée and it was on point. Varied selection of desserts that looked scrumptious.

This place gets busy so book ahead of time. They have a nice patio with entertainment. The server was so nice and helpful. My personal fave is the Penne Inferno (Penne pasta, chicken, onions, peppers & wilted spinach served in a chilli spiked cream sauce). This is really spicy. I will go back to try their other menu.

Our favourite restaurant hands down. Love everything about it, the food is always great, I love the weekly changing feature menu. Great atmosphere and one of my favourite patios. We go or order take out from here at least once a month. The food is also very reasonably priced for what you are getting. The service is always great. Also get the Bavarian cream pie, you won’t regret it!

Nice atmosphere, excellent variety to choose from on the menu. Very good service and the meals were delicious. Pricing very reasonable for the type of menu selections offered. Definitely a must go back to on my list. Thanks for a great evening

Excellent customer service, amazing menu, all of the Moules et frites (mussels & shoestring fries) varieties are delicious and the vegetable bouillabaisse is a wonderfully hearty soup well worth the wait as it was prepared fresh upon order!

FANTASTIC food. Great atmosphere, great service. Top 5 best restaurants in the city in my opinion.

Steak done to perfection and the burger is so amazing and full of flavour! Generous portions.
Super friendly staff as well.

Food is delicious, but the staff don't wear masks. We found this very off-putting, especially in such a cramped establishment. Despite the provincial mandate being lifted last month, this is the only restaurant I've seen so far not requiring their staff to wear masks; most others have better sense than that. For that reason, we won't be returning.

Lovely dining experience at this restaurant. Had eaten there a few times in the past and was happy to go back. We had loose-leaf tea to drink in a nice large container called a Brewt Tea Infuser - was a great way to serve a loose-leaf tea. We had escargots as an appetizer- excellent flavour with mushrooms and onions in a buttery sauce. Fresh bread was served at the beginning of the meal as well - they brought a few pieces from a baguette and a corn bread with flavoured whipped butter. We had the roasted squash soup and french onion soup - both were perfectly done. The french onion soup had a good amount of cheese on top. Our two entrees were the Arctic Char and marinated Tuna. The Arctic char had an interesting filling - stuffed with a lobster gruyère potato mousseline over a lemon verbena sauce. The Tuna was grilled with a maple soy marinade topped with strawberry, avocado mango salsa & unagi. Side grilled potatoes, zucchini and corn on the cob rounded out the mains. Loved the zucchini - best I've had in years. The entrance to the restaurant has a lovely display of the desserts available - 7 or 8 choices there. We decided on the Cappuccino cheesecake - one piece to share. Fantastic flavour. They had 2 flavors of creme brulée in the display. Will have to try one of them next time we go here. Centrally located in St. Boniface on Desmeurons - we found street parking across the street tonight.

If you want taste a different dishes with good wine, this is the place, is a lovely restaurant, exceptional client service, the only thing harder, was found one parking spot available near to the place.

Food was very disappointing - I ordered some appetizers and one of the specials and the beef was very chewy, did not feel like a nice rib eye steak I was hoping for…menu feels outdated and the lack of ‘passion’ is on clear display…most of the menu items have remained the same over the years.

Atmosphere is also quite disappointing, the restaurant feels cramped and outdated - time to get out of that building and find a bigger, more modern space somewhere else imo…

I’ve been a few times to Infernos over the years and this was my second bad experience with food here since 2019, guess I ain’t coming back, Infernos has been outclassed…

This restaurant doesn't have the easiest parking. The nearby street has construction that takes up the sidewalk. However at 7pm on a Thursday night street parking could be found.

The delicious smells of the kitchen permeated the outside air as we made our way in. The desert display tempted us as we were seated.

We were seated close to the window in not the largest table but it worked and the seats comfortable.

Our wait staff did an excellent job. She helped us choose between the many tempting dishes. She brought us our items quickly. She was there when she could help and let us enjoy our meal.

The escargots 5+/5 and the bread came first, along with the teas, loose leaf 5/5. The escargots arrived in a buttery sauce with mushrooms. I was very glad we ordered it.

Our soups, French onion 5+/5 and the roasted squash 5/5 arrived next. The French onion soup was wonderful. The soup base was great and full flavoured. The cheese added a new dimension of flavour and texture. The croutons were meaty and wonderful. The squash soup had a good flavour and texture.

Then the main dishes arrived. The Tuna was good but I have had better. The potato tasted old but was cooked okay. The zucchini was simply outstanding, I don't remember when I have had any nearly as good. The pieces of corn on the cob was also very good.

We then shared a slice of cappuccino cheesecake. Super flavour, great texture and a great cheesecake.

Can't wait to go back. If you haven't been here you really should go.

Consistently delicious fare. Not the broadest menu but excellent selections. Chill and effective staff in a nice, relaxed setting.

Loved it. Three if us attended for a Birthday lunch. We all ordered something different. It came to us hot, in a timely manner. We had an excellent server and it me for a perfect afternoon experience.
