Went there for my daughter's birthday. The food and service was excellent. The only downside was, it was busy and they grabbed a patio chair to make a small table seat 5 even though I had a reservation. I was sitting in the isle where everyone was walking past me.

I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone! It has the bar vibe in the lounge and the intimate setting in the dining room. If you go, 100% ask for Semon, he was one of the best servers i’ve had! My drinks were never empty and all his recommendations were beyond amazing. Whenever he came over it felt like talking to an old friend, not the usual fake service personality im use to! The burger and salad are addicting… Might need to go back tomorrow and request Semon again!

Our meal tonight was lovely but the best part was our server, Jess! She was fun, attentive and engaging! Made our evening!

I visited with good memories of delicious food after a long time.
But for today's food, I chewed a chunk of salt on my steak. Steak sushi sauce is salty.
The vegetables in the other menu are spoiled.
There was no wasabi in sushi, so I asked the employee to do it, but it took a long time.
I even brought it to them after I finished eating.
Two servers brought four wasabi, two each.
Oh, my God.
I was offended by the food.
So we went to another restaurant.
The servers smiled and looked friendly, but they did not receive unfriendly and professional services.
I didn't want to tip you for the first time.

Had a lovely experience yesterday at joeys. Two friends and I wanted to sit on the patio, we were put on the waitlist upon arrival by the hostess. We started off in the lounge had drinks and appetizers. In less then the time they quoted the host brought us outside, our drinks were carried to our table for us and our main courses were right behind us. The kitchen servers and hostesses seemed to be very organized and had a great system. The food was delicious, the drinks were perfect, service was exceptional and the atmosphere was exactly what I needed on a Saturday girls night! Will be dinning again soon, if only I could make a reservation for the patio!

My partner and I have been going to Joey’s for many years. We haven’t been able to go due to the restrictions in place but now with the patio opened we decided to go back. The food was great, however our issue is with the fact that they changed their policy on drink refills without saying anything. They’re charging $4 for a soda, which is all ice and barley any drink. My partner finished hers after 2-3 sips and they were quick to replace it without asking her. By time the bill came we were shocked to see we were charged $20 for drinks. Drink refills use to be free, now they’re charging $4 for what’s basically a glass full of ice and a splash of soda. We were both not impressed, it’d would’ve been nice if they mentioned the change in policy or if they didn’t load the glasses with ice in the first place as we probably would’ve only drank one glass each. I gave 2 stars and that’s only because the food was good however it’s safe to say that we will not be returning.

Great restaurant with a wide selection wines and beers of local and international origin. The menu itself is quite extensive and will most likely cater to those looking for a less run of the mill culinary experience. Pandemic protocols are in place with each table sectioned off with plexiglass. This does not affect the service however, which is as friendly and prompt as usual.

You may require an appointment if you wish to eat out on the patio but was not required for the lounge or indoor dining area when we dined last.

Big shoutout to Peyton and the rest of the front desk team! We will never complain about waiting for a table when someone like Peyton is at the front treating everyone like absolute gold. Peyton and his team are always on their game and provide 5-star service before you even sit down at a table. Thanks for consistently delivering an exceptional experience that keeps us coming back!

A lot of service and very quick food.
It was my first time eating at JOEY Kenaston.

We parked close and there wasn't much of a line up.
We got in right away. We had to figure out how to scan the bar code and fill out some digital paperwork. It would have been easier on paper like other restaurants.

We then were brought to a booth. Nice seats, sturdy table, nice atmosphere.

We had very friendly interactions with the staff and placed our orders.

The food was brought to our table in record time. The food was fresh and hot. We had the butter chicken and a salmon bowl.

The butter chicken had a lovely thick buttery sauce. The meat was tender and flavourful. The naan bread was salty. The rice and peas went well with butter chicken.

The salmon bowl was superb. The fish was amazing, a tasty glaze and tender and juicy interior. The rice and the rest of the bowl made an amazing dish.

The frozen lemonade was tart and refreshing. Didn't care for the soggy paper straw. Maybe a biodegradable plastic straw or even no straw. The raspberry drink was nice too.

There were a lot of flies, probably the most I have seen at a restaurant.

We had a lot of staff check in on our meal, probably six, super friendly and kind. It might have been a bit much had they not been so friendly.

Overall good fast food and friendly place made for a good night out.

Went there first night of reopening - good food, great atmosphere, excellent service and solid bartending. This was a really great way to spend an evening and we'll be back. Shout out to Peyton and the staff for exceptional hospitality.

This is the absolute best place to grab brunch with your besties. The service team is exceptional. The food and drinks are the absolute best. Honestly, don't even think, just go here. They're legit the best?

Couple ladies popped in for some patio drinks after a long work day. Emily, our server was friendly and fun. She fired off some joked and even laughed at our bad ones. Supernova vodka sodas hit the spot, as always. Lucas, the local propane specialist, hauled tanks and used his magic to get ‘em going. When another table smashed a glass, he was hands and knees to pick it up. The food was served promptly, hot and delicious, as always. Shout out to Emily, Lucas and the rest of the Kenaston staff for holding it down during these hard times. Looking forward to shooting the ish with ya’ll again soon.

Both myself and my friends, and my daughter and her friends went to Joey on separate occasions over the past two weeks. We all came home delighted with our evening, and especially thankful for the great service Payton gave us. Keep up the great work Payton and Joey Ken!

The staff is super friendly and very hardworking! They never make mistakes on our super complicated orders. One time I made reservation for 4 but came in group of 6, they accommodated us and changed our table. Extremely happy with service!

Good food, decent prices. Staff were very friendly and COVID safety is apparent. The gave us paper menus even though the QR code is on the table. Then they threw the paper menus away. Seems wasteful. Server and host staff were very personable. Glassware is really nice. We ordered two meals to share and they were kind enough to split the plates for us.

Food was incredible! We haven’t been out since the restaurants reopened and we couldn’t have been more pleased! A glass of sparkling wine at the entry, food came out fast and hot. Spicy margaritas and G&Ts were on point and worth getting 2 of each! But back to the food. HIGHLY recommend the steak and sushi. We went with the sirloin and it was tender and cooked to perfection at medium rare. And the ahi tuna club is always a favourite and tonight it was just that much better. The chef Jordan even came and said hello.he was so friendly and we had a chance to thank him in person. Top notch Joey!

The hospitality by the staff here is excellent. I would say one of the best in Winnipeg. Shout out to Henry and Chase who took really good care of us. The menu is a fusion of different cuisines plus their own take on some of the dishes. If you have a sweet tooth you MUST try their version of the apple pie. You will be pleasantly surprised. The molten chocolate cake was also heavenly. I've tried molten chocolate cake in other places but they often don't get it right but this one was perfect. The food is on the saltier side since it is a place that serves alcohol but you can always request for it to be less salty. We ordered fillet mignion and a salmon bowl and the meat was perfectly done.

The quality of the food has greatly improved! We had tried the chicken parmesan and it was absolutely delicious! The dish was flavourful and the chicken was very tender. Despite Covid-19 negatively impacting restaurants, it was a wonderful surprise to have a 5-star meal for a good price. I would definitely come back to try other dishes on the menu!

Joey's, after so many months of not visiting a restaurant, the experience was just disappointing. The time, money and creativity you put the decor, if that was applied to your food, my experience would have been perfect. I mean how much salt and pepper can someone consume. Had pork, chicken and beef, all seasoned with salt and pepper. I guess next time I would come for the decor instead of the food so you don't let me down.

Great atmosphere!
Hosts offer good customer service and always strive to go above and beyond. The food was also really delicious. I like the fact that they had a wide array of cuisines presented on their menu and from the few we sampled, I can tell that the team is devoted to excellence! If you have a sophisticated palate you may especially enjoy this restaurant. Highly recommend.
