Joey's Seafood Restaurants - Regent

I've been coming to Joey's since I was a little kid. The fish is the best!
This past visit was something else. The place was insanely busy and the staff were just zooming. I was astonished, they handeld the work incredibly. With a smile on their faces, positive energy, and amazing teamwork! Experiences like that just make you appreciate the restaurant even more. I left a 25$ tip but if I could have I would have left 100$. They were just that great! Awesome job to the staff!

Prices have definitely gone up but quality is as great as ever. Server was super.

Quiet place at the time we went. Food was really good. Girlfriend had the crab burger and fries I had the pickerel filled and fries.

Love this Joey's. Location used to come here a lot when i was younger.

Do not dine here often but had take out on Good Friday. Most locations have different decor on the nautical theme and a change of scenery is always nice. All locations regardless of location have the same consistent quality though

The staff were attentive and helpful absolutely no complaints. We came at shift change and it was done seamlessly. Both waitresses were great. One actually brought out a refill of our drinks without us asking.

My partner and I came for a late lunch and ordered one 3 option appetizer and one 5 option appetizer, so we both ended up with 4 items. Portions are notably small for menu items that boast “sharing” them.
I was very disappointed in the Calamity Bites they are just not good, very fishy tasting. I couldn’t finish them and didn’t want to take them home as leftovers either. I had assumed they were clam strips like other places but in fact they are just deep fried baby clams.
The Calamari was average.
The Deep Fried Pickles were good but a very small portion, 3 pickle quarters is not even one whole pickle which is kind of laughable. The Crispy Pacific Shrimp were tasty but again a very small portion we could easily have enjoyed double or triple the amount.
The Pickerel Wings were really awful, lots of bones and just totally unappetizing they just really miss the mark.
Shrimp and Lobster Mac and Cheese was tasty but again very small bowl.
The only thing that came out in any abundance was the Garlic Bread, which in reality was really nothing special.

Also kind of felt like we were in a “fun house” at a carnival with the sloping floors. That was very strange indeed.

So all and all the service was well done but the food left a little too much to be desired.
