Soup was so salty had a few spoons left rest cheeseburger was horrible never go back yuck

I remembered growing up and living across the street from johnnys, was always busy, Johnny himself always cared about his customers and the service his restaurant provided, Johnny himself used to make me teddy bear pancakes that were never on the menu. The food used to be 6 star, above and beyond. My most recent experience however was horrible, and after taking to friends and family it’s been this way for quite awhile. I’ve never had to set my own plates at a restaurant and get my own cutlery, as the ones we got were dirty. Waitress never asked us what we wanted to drink 2 minutes in and was right to ordering. Ordered pizza and a chicken sandwich. Pizza was okay but not the same. The chicken sandwich was burnt and rubbery, was non edible unless you wanted to throw up. Safe to say and very upset to say it the least. I won’t be coming back their

My work colleagues and I went for lunch here. It was terrible. It was not that full in the restaurant, we waited 25 mins to for menus; well one of my work colleagues just finally got up and asked for the menus. A waitress never came to ask how the food was or if we needed drink refills. We waited a long time to get our food, Id say about another 25 mins.
As for the food, I asked for a medium steak but what I got was a well done steak that was very hard to chew. The fries and wedges that came with our meals were luke warm/ cold.
It seemed like a good place from the outside but sadly, we will never go to this place again.

Loved this place growing up always went here as a teenager to eat play on the table to video game and talk with Johnny and Wolfgang im 54 and live in Edmonton now but Im going to have to stop in for a visit and to eat this spring when I come to Winnipeg

This place is legendary in maples area Johnny the owner makes you feel at home, and they serve food that feels like a hug from your favorite aunt. Pizza is thick and delicious the burgers are fresh and loaded. Breakfast may be my favorite meal here as the potatoes are unique and yummy eggs are fresh and cooked exactly how U like. If anything isn't to your standards Johnny will be around to ask and make sure that your standards are met. Not a large restaurant but very cozy

Fantastic homade food, the best in the city, puts Salisbury house to shame️try the broccoli creem soup, it's out of this world

Pizza was terrible toppings were so thin it tasted like I was eating cardboard lasagna was so salty could not eat it

Excellent, me and my dad had excellent service from well serving staff, and friendly inviting personable service. Food has large portions, had to take half home. Loved it, totally reccomend his classic modern dining experience. I reccomend this place, huge portions, wonderful staff, and service.

Oh… yum. Cheese pizza is amazing, so are the burgers, fries, salads… ok everything here is amazing. Just eat here, it’s so flipping good!

Good size portions, and you're no eating thick crusts. A bit more money but diffently good pizza. I try to get there every other week. The staff is very courteous. I enjoy going there i feel right at home. Keep up the good work.

Fatboy was Super good I'm very sure they use cinnamon in the chili not really my think but it was suprisingly good.

Been going here for a long time. Johnny is such a genuine guy, always doing his best to make his customers happy. This business has been in the maples for 40+ years so he must be doing something right.

I come here almost every Sunday and I love it here we're practically like family! The food here is just absolutely amazing I love there greek salad, fries, burgers, naan bread, and cinnamon buns! There are so many more food choices you can choose from it's so fun to be here and so family friendly.oh and don't get me started on the lemon potatoes

We have ordered from Johnny’s many years ago and was happy with the service and the food. However, today we ordered 2 meals and a side salad. First meal we asked for no chilli on the burger and we got chilli on the burger. Second meal they forgot to pack the club sandwich in the bag, the fries were cold, soggy and grease soaked that they were thrown in the garbage. The soup had a sour taste and the kind of soup it was is still unknown. The salad was half decent aside from the dressing being warm. When we called about the missing club sandwich, we were told that there were no drivers available and we’d have to wait, go get the sandwich ourselves or get it at another time. She was pleasant on the phone but we have decided that we will not order from Johnny’s again. Disappointed in how careless they are with their customers and quality of food.
We ordered through skip the dishes and they are going to credit our account the full cost of our order. Something Johnny’s restaurant should have offered to do. Or even part of the cost.

The most expensive breakfast we have had in 10 years, and they called it a special first time here. Food was fine, your basic restuarant breakfast, 2 eggs, 3 regular size breakfast sausage, and 1/3 of plate of deep fried potatoes, 2 slices toast. Coffee was very watery week, and not included. So 2 simple breakfast 2 coffee, 26.00. Really, I thought she made a mistake on the bill, there are tons of places in the city with a real breakfast special, coffee included, where for 2 of us would be close to half of that. Very disappointed

We love it here, been disappointed with some dishes. But we're fiding new dishes to try and they've been more good dishes than bad ones. Service is great, Johnny comes out and greets everyone who at the restaurant.

I have eaten alot of pizza and have eaten at alot of restaurants all over Canada and the United States. Johnny's pizza is definitely the best I have had. On top of that the booths are very comfortable, as I was there for almost a hour and didn't have any discomfort on my back.

Hey sorry, I didn't think to grab any pics. We weren't there for as long as I normally stay to eat at a restaurant, but it was great. I ordered a cheeseburger (no pickles) and a poutine. Food came in clutch, and the chef even came out and kicked it with us for a few minutes before getting back to it. Very friendly atmosphere, definitely recommend it.

Just happened upon Johnny's today. First time we were there and the pizza is fantastic! Will for sure be coming back!

Usually I agree with all the reviews. Been coming here for over 30 years. You need to get your priorities straight. Awesome restaurant usually. However, it's unfortunate when Skip the dishes orders affect the service and quality of food in the restaurant. Hamburger steak just OK. Veggies, rice and potatoes terrible. Soup always good. We came from our house to your place to eat and had to wait for all the skip orders before ours. NOT COOL.

Our local gem! You will never leave this restaurant unsatisfied! Portions that usually require a take home container. The food is tasteful and prepared quickly, If you enjoy value and great food, then this is your place! The friendly staff works hard to maintain a clean happy atmosphere, from breakfasts to dinner entres.this place ROCKS!

Authentic pizzeria experience that you rarely find. Pizza was exactly how I would want it to be. The owner even came to the table for a quick hello. Don't miss out on this one.

Pizza sauce had almost no taste it was way over done and the toppings were 3 inches from the edges.
