Great people and great service!

I requested specific tires on specific axles and to mark the tires as they came off. 100% (bonus points for marking the backside of the tire. Nice touch!)

I'm happy that they took the time to listen to what I asked for and cared enough to follow through with every request.

I have always used Nokian Hakkapeliitta studded winter tires. My previous set was worn so I ordered new Hakkapeliitta 10's for my car. Excellent service.

I spent 1400 to this shop. The first time i brought my suv, there is no light in the dashboard and the manager old me that there is a problem in the tpms sensor andif i will not change it, it will pop up inthe dashboard, so i deciede to change the tpms sensor. After a week of using my crv, the tpms pop-up inmy dashboard and when i went to kaltire, they told me that one sensor is not working and they charge me another 105 for that instead of free services.not recommended and not coming back again in this autosho

I went there for a part I confirmed on the phone but when I arrived it was the wrong color. I wasted my lunch hour for nothing.

Staff here and at Westwood location are always friendly, prompt and professional. I appreciate their help when I have concerns. Highly Recommend them!

I've been a loyal Kal Tire customer since my first interaction with them. It may cost a bit more if you're not going through MPI's winter tire program, but very few companies treat their customers as well as Kal does.

Fast and friendly service! They repaired my Nokian tires for free without proof of purchase.

My boyfriend booked a tire change appointment for 12pm today. He dropped off his car and walked around the area while he waited for his tires to be changed. 2 hours pass by, he decided to return to the location to see why it is taking long. Checking his car, it was still at the same spot he left it, untouched. Tires were still not changed until he asked after waiting for 2 whole hours. Manager's reasoning (Dante) was that they were understaffed. I would completely understand however not letting us know while he is waiting for 2 hours is unacceptable. If he hadnt checked up on them, it would have taken longer. Very disappointing service and do not recommend! Will not return and will warn others.

It was a good service for the tires but the last visit was not what I expected. I hope this posting will improve their service to the way it was.

Carlos was very helpful and knowledgeable. I wanted to get some new tires and I am very satisfied with the purchase. He was able to guide me through the process, and had some great recommendations too. I would definitely go back here.

Great service! I'm from out of town and had to find a place for an emergency repair for my truck before I head home. This place was near my hotel so I stopped by in the morning. They were fully booked but they managed to squeeze me in. My family and I really appreciate it, thank you guys!

Can't get an appointment correct.
2 times booked alignments, show up on time and some reason no shop time for alignments. Poor organization.

Dave and the guys at the St James store are always so helpful, even without an appointment and always get me back on the road fast. Never had a bad experience here and highly recommend!

I have taken both of my cars there multiple times and every time they are professional and walk me through all the steps they are going to take to get my ride ship shape again. They are usually pretty busy so call ahead and check if they have openings. They're very efficient when you come in for your appointment and they'll get you out again in no time. They can do more then just tires and an oil change too. In the lobby they have some display rims and a tire rack to check out. Their waiting area isn't huge but it does have a few nice chairs and a TV to watch. Lots of places within a short walking distance if you think it'll be a while.

Not only that the store representative was pushy, misleading and unprofessional, but also so called Customer Relations Representative just waisted my time
Unprofessional all around, I wonder if they reply here for appearance of doing anything again.

Good service and friendly staff! They changed my winter tires and packed up my old tires nicely.

Getting rims fixed:

First when i walked in to the store the guy behind the desk was very rude and hard to understand then they said it would be an hour and a half to put on my new tires. While they were swapping my tires for the winter tires that i bought there i could see them working with no respect for the wheels and no professionalism. Now i looked at my rims and at least 3 of them are scratched. I had them polished today to see if they would come out but they are too deep.

Im going to go back this week to get my tires torqued and to see how they will propose to fix this. Will update on the service

(Update) The manager contacted me first thing this morning and made sure everything was ok. We scheduled a time to get my rims refinished and i was offered a comparable replacement vehicle for the time that it will take. Will be dropping off my car again this Wednesday

I have been with Kal-tire at St. James for over 2 years now and I'm always happy and satisfied with their excellent service. They go above and beyond. Especially Carlos, who has always been very kind and accomodating.

Had a leak in my tire and went to Kal Tire in St James. They took my vehicle in immediately and fixed the problem in a very timely manner. Extremely happy with the service and customer care I received.

Staff lied and pressured me into getting my brake pads replaced.

I went here this past summer to get my summer tires put on and was called and told my brake pads were dangerously low and needed to be replaced right away. I asked for a quote but completely forgot about it due to covid. While getting my winter tires put back on at Ness Auto (trying to support local) I remembered about the brake pads and asked how much for new pads. The mechanic there said the worst pad still had over 40% life left and most were around 60% and that they were still good for awhile.

Skip these liars and support local. Ness auto has made a customer for life out of us.

Really great experience. Woke up to see a nail had done my tire in. As we were in a bit of a rush (driving across Canada) I really hoped for a quick fix. The guys were able to get me in that morning and all in all I spent about 2 hours there. I’ve had other flat tires in Winnipeg and have had to wait to the afternoon before. Really appreciate the on time service.

I had called to order a new set of tires for my car and they arrived in two days! When I got the call saying the tires arrived they were also able to get me in the same day to put them on for me (which was perfect since my old set were so worn I hadn't felt comfortable driving on them)

I got there and everything went incredibly smooth. The customer service rep Carlos was super friendly, professional and patient when explaining what their process was during this covid-19 pandemic.

I had told them about some pulling and to go ahead with a wheel alignment if needed and they still ended up calling to confirm that I did need one, which was appreciated. Once I got back behind the wheel I felt a HUGE difference in the handling and I'm feeling a lot more safe.

Amazing service and they stand behind their work. I've used many Kal Tire locations over the years all across western Canada and I have to say this one stands above the rest. The guys are prompt, give you straight answers and if there's an issue they fix it. Quickly. If you find a better price they'll match it and you're unlikely to find a better price. Their staff have always treated me well and the products they sell are standing up really well. I'd highly recommend giving them a try.

Great fast service. Super nice people to deal with, nice clean establishment. They genuinely care about their job on your vehicle! Definitely going back to them!

KalTire replaced 1 of my tires on Jan 2020. One month later, the new tire blew out on the highway. I talked to customer service and then zone manager Jeff and he insisted I must have done something to the tire even though I consistently told him I did not hit anything or touch the tire at all. Jeff told me repeatedly this will not be covered by them because I had the car for a month.

After inspection by a Kaltire tech, he said that the OEM VALVE STEM was bent so it probably leaked because of it. He said this should have been checked when the tire was installed. I am certain Kal Tire was the last person to look at my tire and have access to that OEM VALVE STEM.

Randy the Pembina Kal Tire manager was amazing and he directed me to go to St. James Kal Tire since they had my tire there. Unfortunately when I got to St. James the manager there, Dave was not as helpful. I had to call Randy again to ask him to explain to them again that I was not going to pay anything as this was not my fault. Dave dealt with the tech who was helping me at the til and ignored me completely. I also asked them to change 1 tail light bulb so just for that alone they charged $40.

IMO Kal Tire has poor customer service; they will make it very hard for you to get help if something goes wrong. With the exception of Randy, I talked to multiple people from Kal Tire who did not care. It is awful to realize they can make a mistake that can put you in a very bad accident and then blame you and ask you to pay for it.

I was lucky to find 1 person willing to help, which was Randy. But I found there are more reasons not to go back to Kal Tire:
1. The techs doing the work at the back seems to be unsure about what they're doing.
Example 1: When I had my tire installed (Pembina) the tech at the front told the tech in the back he did something wrong and to re-do it.
Example 2: When I had the tail light bulb replaced (St. James) the tech from the back kept asking the tech at the front questions about which bulb he's suppose to use.
2. The manager in charge of all the managers is not customer service oriented. Jeff consistently told me there's no way anything was wrong with the tire and they will not cover it.
3. Most of them DON"T CARE even if they made a mistake that put your life in danger.

Ordered winter tires and rims. Waited a week. Showed up early for appointment and got a call 45 minutes later telling me they ordered the wrong rims. I lose over an hour of my weekend due to their incompetence and someone else will get my business.

Was out for the day with my puppy and grandchild and realized my tire was almost flat. We were close by and I bought my tires here so we showed up with no appointment on a Saturday. We had to leave the car but got a courtesy ride home, nail removed from the tire and all fixed up, got picked up from home and shuttled back to pick up my car only 2 hours later. I pulled out my bank card and they told me to put it away, No Charge! I LOVE Kal Tire!

Always go way above and beyond to make sure the issue is resolved. Squeeze me in when I have an issue and are always friendly and helpful. Great prices. Dave is great and is always willing to go the extra mile. Customer for life.

If you need tire work done, gotta go to Kal's. Great service, nice waiting area and competitive pricing.

Worst company to get tires installed. Replaced tires two times in last 3 months. And they dont even replace tires if they are damaged in such short time. They pro rate the warranty. So if car is driver around 10k or something they wont replace it for free. Quality of tires and customer service is worst. All hidden conditions come up when you go to use warranty. Never going back there and would never ever recommend anyone to go there.

Good price on decent entry level tires needed for safety on car for sale. Very pleasant customer service staff.

I've used them a couple times for new tires and to replace a tie rod. Good quality of workmanship and it's always been done on time. The staff and Dave, the manager, have always been great to deal with - walking the customer through recommendations or potential issues they notice. I appreciate the service and quality of work. Keep it up!

These guys are Awesome! I came in at 4: 30pm on a FRIDAY with a screaming howling car due to a seized brake caliper and no rear brake pad. They bent over backwards for me and ordered in parts and got it done by 5: 30 so I could head home. Totally recommend.

In Winnipeg for work from out of Province. Tires needed air due to the extreme cold, stopped by there Sunday as door was open and people inside. Asked if I could get some air as air at any of the gas stations around were not working. Would not even help, because they said they were closed. Well why was door open and people inside? One would think that a act of kindness would be called for in this cold snap, kept saying we are closed. So again my question - why was door open and people inside? I would think twice about using this location as there is a complete lack of common sense prevailing. Went to a Canadian Tire close by and even though they were busy, they understood and allowed me to put air into my low tires. I am getting a sense of lack of customer service at Kal tire, as have experience issue with other ones across the western provinces as well.
Have to select a star rating in order for this post to appear, however I really do not want to even give 1 star.

I don't usually give reviews, I mostly only read them, but I decided to write a review. I bought a set of 4, Nokian hakkapeliitta 9 studded winter tires. I am familiar with the Nokian hakkapeliitta tires, I had bought a set, years ago, for my sister's car, just bought a set on my girlfriend's car, and I have a set on my car. These studded tires have exceptional grip, keep in mind there will be a bit of noise from the studs, but that's a trade-off you have, for exceptional grip. I have had different brands of winter tires many years ago, and they have never compared to the Nokian Hakkapeliitta. The service at the St James location was exceptional. Dave and Ryan were professional and friendly, and when I drop my car off it went into the shop immediately, I was in and out in 1 hour. Hat off to the staff of Kal Tire on St James location.

Edit: Kal Tire has reached out to us in an effort to make things right. While I am still disappointed about what happened, I appreciate their effort as the customer service that drew me to Kal Tire in the first place.

We have had fantastic experiences at Kal Tire in the past but our last few experiences have left a lot to be desired. We set up an appointment to purchase winter tires and steel rims and have them put on our small truck. The appointment was for 830am. At 930am we are told the rims that were sent from another location were mislabled and dont actually fit our tires. So, now one hour into the appointment we are starting from scratch as the tires have to be fitted onto our existing rims. Ok, frustrating but not a deal breaker. So this appointment took almost 3 hours and we find out they unhooked our car seat! Without asking and for absolutely NO REASON and they never even told us about it. So we had to spend an additional 30-40, incredibly infuriating, minutes re-installing it. Who even touches someone else's carseat without asking, nevermind unhooking it and not saying a word about it? ! I am absolutely livid and will likely never use Kal Tire again.
